My opinion as I said before is that BHG should be allowed to fly gunboats in core systems.
If that will be with normal or some other ID doesn't matter much to me.
Anyway I have 2 very good reasons:
1. Pirates can pirate in GBs and very often do that
2. Not everyone likes to fly fighters/bombers, and if GBs are only allowed in omicrons they will be very underused as BHGs in omicrons will use the Dessie (which will be quite small and agile) instead.
The "BHG capwhoring" that people are so screaming about is 99% about BHG BCs.

Yes, I actually mentioned it was the BC's that were the problem, in addition to a select few Battleships. And i agree with you. I personally hate flying fighters, the smallest thing I have is a Bomber. That is why Im all for the Indie BHG Pilots being able to use up to the gunboat wherever they want. And if they want to upgrade to something bigger, they can take their request up with the ruling BHG faction leaders. Not to sound all 101st and Nazi like, but BH caps need to be regulated.

Or just what's done with them regulated. That's sort of like what the Corsairs do with caps (at least my understanding of their rules) - anyone who has demonstrated the ability to RP a Corsair, and asks for a cap, will be approved on condition they don't go invading Bretonia or Alpha with it. Just stop the BHG caps from steaming into Gamma (or Alpha) every other night and everyone's happy.

Im suggesting we follow the 101st example. Eppy was just a Nazi about the whole thing, thus 101st Nazi like. It works well, there was one incident where like three indies went on a death/destruction spree in NY and the 101st took care of them. There are, to my knowledge, 4 official OC Dreads, one belonging to the 101st, one to the RoS, and one to the SOB, and one MNS ship. Theses are the registered ones, are there non registered ones out there, probably, but they obviously RP well enough to not cause problems. Not a day goes by when there isnt a BH capship in either Alpha, Gamma, Minor , or O100, some days all 4. Those are the pilots that dont diserve a capship. Which sane captain would risk the lives of his crew to fly his ship into the heart of the enemy's territory? If he does there had better be some damn good RP behind it.

seems we are supposed to discuss the proposed change in BH id here so....
As I said in the other thread, I see no justification rp or otherwise for the change in BH id to not allow
gunships, Merc id allows gunships....how is that justifiable? BH would be likely to have more resources than mercs, especially BH who are in a clan. I still do NOT see a valid reason rp or otherwise for taking the gunships away from BH id. One answer given was money, but BH for a long time have had the resources to fly gunships etc., now suddenly they have not?! what happened? credit crunch?!
How will this impact BH in this server?...... Picture the scene: If a BH has a contract and is alone in the game, and the contract is flying a gunship or gunboat, and is in any other system other than the omicrons or omegas, the only thing that the BH can fly is a fighter or bomber or freighter. :wacko:
Now under the proposed id change, the BH with the guard id could pursue that contract and fly a gunship, but ONLY if the contract was flying in the omegas or omicrons.
Now, pirates are allowed to fly gunships or gunboats and the justification for that was given in the other thread as being-

where is the proof for this statement? I totally disagree that pirates would have more reason or resources than BH to use caps. Again and again we are told its not valid rp....the question then is what makes rp valid rp? your opinion? my opinion? Its all subjective.

Well I dont realy care if the Nomal BH ID allows the GS and GB, but as I as so many others are annoyed at the BHG for always using caps when hunting Pirates or unlawfuls.
And I dont want the capwhores to be able to have the GB and GS without working a little for it, I would also like to see the Guild Core putting up restriction on their Caps.
Now, I dont care if the DW or S/D use or dont use caps, but I want restrictions on that, I dont want to be shot down in my bomber/fighter or any other ship by 3 teamed BHBC's, no that not only ruins alot of RP but also alot of the fun out of the game.
If those players that want to blow stuff would go to another server and just let us that actually wants to RP, RP.
No I havent had any contact with the DW, but I cant see a problem with the new Id's, why are you adament of getting GS and GB's allowed for normal BH's?
True on all counts. Clans would have more resources than individuals, and I agree, the Regular BH ID should allow from LF's to GB's. My concern lies with the Bigger ships.
