Really? I would think you'd have an actual opinion on arena shooters that are good and why they are good.

You want good? Good in which way? Any Quake-forks are good. But not for a newcomer. I can invite you, say, to Warsow. Won't be a pleasure.

I played quite a bit of quake, but I'm not a fan of the bunny hopping. (only tried quake live tho, years ago)
Most of my hours are in UT2004 and TF2 as they are the ones I did competitively, but also did a lot of Tribes Ascend. And I think that I'll have plenty of fun with the new UT and Overwatch.
I just don't want to play remakes of games that were good 10 years ago.

QL has no bunny-hopping, QW/CPMA do. Also, QL is now p2p, but free for those who had it earlier. id's products are doomed under Bethesda's wing for sure.
TF2 was a nice thing once, but got stomped by a ton of useless cosmetics and idiotically-written expansions.
Tribes was a nice thing with a crappy marketing. Check upcoming Midair, btw.
If you're not picky enough, you can have fun even with Sims.
Right, no need to play remakes if you have the orignals alive enough.

I'm glad they at least have QL tournaments still. Warms my heart. QW barely holds on it's small community. Defrag is alive for sure.
