I had some crashes to desktop that closed the game however I never mentioned them because I'm using a different PC now and it's fine, figured it was a problem with the other PC.
All the crashes occured when trying to select missions in the bar at newark, the other bases in NY were fine cos I tested it (except the junker and rogue ones, wrong rep for that).
Also the raven claw seems to have a bug with gun mounts 7 and 8, they won't let you mount liberty class 9 weapons (the vengence and magma hammer) however I was able to mount class 6 guns on them without any problems.
First, when you have a battleship it is really hard to even get around. I suggest that battleships can equip an FTL Drive. For those of you who don't know what an FTL Drive is, it allows ships to basically teleport a distance. It works just like jump holes or jump gates but you can jump whenever to the waypoint specified. This jump drive idea comes from Battlestar Galactica (Re-Imagined Series) where the Galactica and its rag tag fleet of civilian ships are able to jump using FTL drives.
Second, there could be the possibility of fighters equiping an FTL drive. But with some major disadvantages. Here are the disadvantages I thought of:
* May only plot jumps inside the current system.
* Longer FTL spin up time.
* Extremely expensive.
* Very hard to find.
I say NO WAY for FTLs with the current running tactics. Cruise is annoying enough.
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
Dab, from day one its always been the IMG, just one of those little anomalies. Probably
due to the fact that its in Magellan, not an out of the way border, or edge system.
Zoners got enough bases anyway ...
