Remember a Frigate only has cruiser guns and less armour than a BS. Given even pilots the BS will win every time.
How you fight and gun loadout plays an important part though. Perhaps there should be some teaking done with some of the guns to balance them.
Overall though, capship fights are very ability and tactic dependent.
Frankly i dont believe having certain guns should make you superior (yes level 10's should beat level 9's), this reason is for RP ability (just a random faction) lets say the liberty navy faction's warships will have to have outcast or corsair weapons onboard, just to compete with all the other factions who have it. This kills the rp value, because EVERYONE will have those loadouts. Which in the end means either the n00bs or mature people who have "ID/weapons/ship" configuration will always lose. Just my rant, I wont speak of this again.

Guess I didn't really think before posting there. There are many types of guns that provide different types of firepower. Energy efficiency is an important criteria.
If I was ignoring RP, I would be using Kusari primary turrets on Corsair dreadnaught.
The Rheinland BS has a pretty heavy advantage with 18 guns as well as being very manueverable for a BS.
A lot of us are wondering why the Battlestar advanced is so low in armor. Its bigger than a Bret BS, about as big as a Reinland, bigger than the Lib bS, should it not have at least comparable armor?

well, a part of the answer hides in the fact that it is (as all non vanilla ships) immune to explosion damage.

Well i use lane hacker spyglass...and if u want big ship...that is the one...i think it is longest ship around...it has nice hull strength.
However it is very difficult ship to fly cause if its size and hit box (it is larger then ship it self)...it is easily spinned but it makes easy thru asteroids..cause it is so long it cant be spined in asteroids...
Although it isnt the strongest ship and not even easy to fly i still use it cause i like how it looks. It does great amount of damage and i never lost pvp in that ship...and i fought RH bs and Corsairs dred two of the strongest battleships..
when choosing the ship choose that one u like, that fits your fighting skills...ship that suits u...same with set up of the ship...

El Gato, the Proclamator (Outcast Dread) is the coolest looking, they went for the Venator (Corsair Dread), the buggyhitboxnearlyunhittable-cool looking one:lol:
Actually, hint to hit the Venator: aim wherever you want, just DON'T aim where the crosshair tells you to, more chance to hit it.:P

sorry for being uninforative last time, I was in a hurry. anyway, I want to know a good setup for a kusari battleship. I think the BS's should have a lot of armor and energy, but it would be horrible without weapons. I would like to know a good layout for a kusari battleship. I am expirienced in freelancer.
I think a good layout would be:
x2 chain gun solairis turrets(for fighter killing and taking out their thrusters.)
x2 primary turrets
x2 secondary turrets
x2 flak
x2 missile
x2 defence
x2 teritary
please reply.
PS. the rh bs has a hole in the front rendering it almost useless against fighters.
