We possess no way of deploying forces to deal with the presumed lair of this threat. The Core however does. They have worked with us in the past, possess a relatively large security fleet, and will grant us certain, benefits to cooperation. Cooperating with them and investing our resources wherever possible should result in a group capable of fighting this threat while operating in the Omicrons. We also stand to gain much from this economically and in terms of assets they may be willing to divulge to us.
Given the state of Rheinland, this should manage the threat while allowing us to prepare to deal with it ourselves. I am unsure how the Order would take this, but I believe this to ultimately be secondary.
As our older assets are pared down, we may find it quite politically viable to transfer them to the Core's security forces, at a reasonable cost of course. This would also inject military equipment directly into the frontlines of this apparent struggle.
Presently our forces maintain a solidly fortified position in the system. The enemy's main basing is a lethal anomaly with minimal exits. There is currently a battlecruiser squadron within the system along with other forces that should be capable of containing the enemy within the anomaly.
While the enemy possesses a large raiding force, their capital strength seems lacking and we may be able to leverage this to minimize the spillover of threat from Thuringia. If viable this would seriously aid our efforts in managing this threat,
If this cannot be achieved, heavy combat patrols and attempts to draw out the enemy should be made. In regards to the Wild, there is a very finite amount of personnel and ships they can bring to bear on our forces. We will likely be able to degrade them via attrition provided we make every effort to minimize our casualties in the process.
As a final note, given the aftermath of the last superweapon employed, I do not recommend attempting to recreate this in the Suhl.
Ultimately we need to allow ourselves to rebuild strength. Focusing on dealing with Rheinland's present threats should provide us with possible political justification to expand our fleet and to blood our forces.
Security of key resource systems such as Lüneburg and Omega-7 will provide us with the resources and economic power required to help rebuild our shattered fleet. Kruger's strides to give Rheinland H-Fuel independence should be supported by any means, this will be one less limitation for us in our campaigns.
While the Hessians suffered greatly, we should at least ensure they are kept down. The GMG is now proving a nuisance yet again, which must be dealt with decisively. Forcing them to the table and to acquiesce to demands of peace may be wise.
The existing Wild raiding forces must also be dealt with, heavy effort should be made to seek out their bases. The utmost effort must be made to ambush and destroy these raiding forces. It may prove relatively cheap to contract firms such as Bauer or Aegis to root them out.
We have learned many lessons in prior conflicts. Although our core of heavy battleships gives us immense capabilities, we should supplement this force with lighter assets to reduce costs and grant us flexibility.
Emphasis on light carriers, battlecruisers, and cruisers should allow us to outmaneuver our enemies whilst maintaining large amounts of firepower. These units can exploit breakthroughs made by our heavy battleships to secure our victory.
New designs will be needed to arm our troops given the power we have witnessed from our enemy. While I believe the firepower demonstrated by the Kolleda was, excessive, a more conventional version could provide us with the firepower needed to tip the scales against any enemy force. I fully support the Bureau's proposal and suggest we go forward with them. If it produces effective results that can be produced for the rest of our fleet, we may not require a large upscaling of our forces.
I am ready to move forward with this if approved.
Für den Kaiser! Für das Volk! Für Rheinland!
