"I need some tt tea" he stammered, after he had calmed his nerve with some of Christy's best.
"Right so you say you need...230,000 creds" He begins to speak to himself quietly "If I claim my holiday is working on investigating criminals on Luxury Liner............meaning that I'll save.................and if I refrain from that new bio processor upgrade to my ship.........."
"You know what 100,000 creds is yours, you want me to send it to your work account Bruce or a personal one?"

Austin Goodmen, a Lieutenant in the Armed Forces, pushes open the door to Christy's.
He was wearing his normal everyday civilian clothes, and of course had his crutches with him. Limping in he looked around, saw a few off-duty Police officers, ignored them, and headed over to an empty table. He placed his crutches to where they where leaning on the wall to his left. He sighed lightly as a waiter came over. "Tea, with lemon. Thank You."
Austin looked over seeing a donation jar. "...On my way out." He said lightly. Waiting for his tea to arrive.
Christy's eyes shone like Bruce had never seen before. She was so happy to have almost been pulled out of debt. Only 50,000 credits were needed to bring her out of debt. Bruce almost reached into his pocket to cover the rest but knew that he had to save it. He only hoped that another Constable would drop by to pitch in the last amount needed...
Christy wandered over to what she wished was her cafe, still in need of those fifty thousand credits.
"Wonder what's happened to those boys... Hope they haven't abandoned me again." She sighed as she realied it might be true.
Just as she was considering taking the credits given and running, a messenger popped through the door with a small envelope, a rarity in these days of the neural net.
"Message for... Christy?"
"Yes, that's me, where do I sign?"
"No need, I know who you are. Used to come here regular."
Opening the small envelope, she found a cred stick, and a little message reading:
"Christy,
Managed to get my old man's old man to cough up the credits.
M'guire"
Slotting the stick into the her reader, she discovered to her joy, the fifty-thousand needed, as well as a nice two-hundred-thousand extra.
It had been a long time since Joshua last visited this certain district of New London.
Following the death of Sir Alan, Joshua was seen less and less in the capital of Bretonia, and mostly spent his time on the Shetland in Edinburgh, spreading his patrols accross the rather quiet system.
It was due to the death of Sir Alan's successor that he found himself on this rainy world again - Abigail Thorn, the brave woman leading the BPA had gone way too early.
Now, Joshua's fellow Chief Constable M'guire had called the higher-ups to Christy's, the favourite watering hole for any constable.
Rushing through the ever-flowing rain, his dark blue trenchcoat appearing nearly black because of the wet conditions, Joshua reached the shop. He had heard of Christy's problems from another constable during duty and was a bit embarassed to show up this late.
The little bell above the door rang, as Cooper entered the store.
"You sure are one bad paragon, Mr Cooper! You could've shown up a little earlier, couldn't you?"
Christy grinned at him, she was in the process of getting the store back to what it had been. Joshua reached inside one of his coat's pockets and drew out a small packet and handed it Christy with a apologizing smile.
"I'm sorry, but, well, you know how I am, m'lady..."
Christy took the package and put it on the counter without opening it. It contained a credit card and rare example of the brand-new Green-Black Gaian Darjeeling, a tea brand for Planetform higher-ups enjoying themselves at the Shetland.
"Well, that's not the best excuse I've ever heard, Mr Cooper." Christy wagged with her finger at Joshua "But I understand you lads have your hands quite full at the moment, right? Oh, and you should hurry up, Mr M'guire is waiting for you. Cambridge Lemon Tea, I take it?"
With a smile and a nod, Joshua entered the small room at the back of Christy's shop. The Warden of Newgate, Duncan M'guire was already there, a gloomy look on his face.
"G'd afternoon, M'guire. I guess I already have a clue what we'll discuss here..."
Joshua sat down next to M'guire, waiting for the others to arrive.
Brian McNabb sat at his desk at the New London Police Station, when his terminal stated to blink.
It was an incoming message from his friend, The Warden of Newgate, Duncan M'guire, asking him to arrive at Christy's for a meeting with the other Chief Constables. He also asked to keep it quiet. Brian could only guess what the meeting was about, As they all just lost their beloved Commissioner.
Brian quickly closed the files on his desk, deleted the message from his terminal, put on his heavy coat and headed out towards Christy's.
He boarded his planetary ship and set it on auto pilot, Destination: Christy's.
On the flight there he couldn't stop thinking about the loss of Abigail. It was hard enough on him to lose Sir Alan, but now Abigail as well, and in his own district, under his nose. Someone will pay dearly for this, of that Brian was sure.
Brian's line of thought was interrupted by a feminine electronic voice: "Destination Reached: Christy's"
Brian was so caught up in his thought he didn't even notice the ship landing.
He quickly got out and went towards Christy's.
As he got to the entrance, old memories started surfacing, he could remember his first time at Christy's, back at the time he joined the BPA "Some history you got here ol' chum" he whispered to himself. He then continued inside.
"Well, look who found the time to come over and visit this old' place" he heard from behind his back. He turned to fins Christy standing there with a mean look on her face.
"Em.. Well.. Em.. You see" Brian Started muttering.
"Shush there" Christy said, smiling now, "Save the excuses for someone that needs them and come here and give me a hug" The two hugged.
"I am sorry to hear about Abigail's death, she was a fine woman" Christy said.
"Indeed" Brian said "She will be missed by all of us" he added.
"Look, I'm sorry I didn't come by and help you get this place back up, it's been a very tough and busy time for me, but I did manage to raise some credits for you"
Brian then handed her 1 mil credits. "I hope this would help you keep things running for a while"
Christy then moved and hugged Brian again.
"Thank you!" Christy said with tears "Now, the boys are waiting for you in the back room, so move along, don't keep them waiting" Christy whispered into Brian's ear with a smile.
Brian then broke off and proceeded to the back room at Christy's.
As he entered the room, he could see Joshua Cooper and Duncan M'guire seating there discussing some issues.
"Hello there mates; it saddens me we are meeting under this grim situation" Brian said while shaking hands with Joshua and Duncan.
He then sat at the table and joined the conversation, waiting for the others to arrive.
Cambridge's Section Head, Bruce Scott rushed in, almost breaking the newly replaced glass revolving door. The aroma of all the heavenly goods inside was irresistible, he threw his wallet at Christy saying, "You know what I want, bring all the tea that pays for!"
Bruce turned from the counter and looked around. A few voices began calling him over, it was the other sectional chiefs. Bruce walked over protesting, "Can't this wait I've got a barge-load of Christy's tea coming."
"Afraid so Mr. Scott, we have to discuss matters of grave importance." Mr. M'guire had the nerve to deny Bruce his tea.
"Da...Alright, I suppose this is about the Commisioner?" Bruce sat down mumbling to himself what he would be missing by partaking in this meeting.
Looking around at his co-chiefs, men he'd known since he'd joined the forces, he was glad they'd responded to the call. He needed people who he could trust for the job.
"Right gents, think we'd better git started, even though Brown couldnae make it. We kin bring 'im upta speed if he does appear." Raising his cup, "first things first though, to Abigail, may she rest wi'out worrys."
"Now onta business. As ye might 'ave heard, our investigation ain't goin' as smoothly as it should be, considerin' who it was... An' I'm fur lookin' ta see why." He set his sight on each of his companions, gauging their reactions. So far so good, nothing too bad yet.
"An' ta go further, an' take a look at Greene, and these blasted orders fae Grenville. No need ta mention 'at this will be completely off th' books, aye?"
"I've bin doin' what I can fae Newgate, wi' respect ta those armed forces officers bein' held there. An' I've 'ad ma nephew do 'is best ta get close ta Greene, an' I'll need yer help for that Brian. I've tried ta git at the evidence files fur Abigail's... Murder, an' they've bin locked. High enough 'at a chief cannae git at them. We're either gonna 'ave ta git Greene ta open 'em, or crack 'em."
Sighing deeply, M'guire gazed at each o' his colleagues, his friends in turn.
"What're yer thoughts own this 'en?"
"Well.." Brian talked answered "... I doubt we could make Greene open up the files for us without raising his suspicion about a side investigation on our side"
*sip of Earl Grey Tea*
"I can try and access the file on my terminal, but I doubt the result will be any different than you got Duncan"
Brian Added
"I think we should try acting on both plains here. Duncan, How close is your nephew to Greene? Can he get close enough to get the password for the file from him?
As for the other way to access, any of you gents know a hacker we can use for this job? remember, he needs to be very reliable, as this is very sensitive..."
Brian than waited for his fellow Section Chiefs to say what is on their mind.
