The “Wilde” faction has been given an “unlimited power cloak” for their ships. This with their tag means they can go anywhere, anytime and kill anyone, in complete stealth. My character was killed that night by a bomber uncloaking behind me, blowing me to pieces while giving a firing order at the same time. After the fight, one followed us to New London, got behind a motionless Senior Judge Emmure at Waterloo Station and decloaked while blowing him to pieces, while saying that was for his mouth in Newcastle.
I think this is really great, makes me think of Wilde and Nomads from Vanilla, and I would have kudos'ed the encounter.
That is how they are *supposed* to behave, isn't it? Or did I get something wrong playing the SP campaign?
I see a lot of overreacting here over perceived injustice. On the surface I can understand the angst. Some players have a toy (infinite cloaks) that others do not. Can this toy be abused and harm server gameplay?
Absolutely. Has it though?
Time will tell. I encourage patience in this matter. If, as some believe, players abuse this toy by harming server gameplay, there will be enough complaints coming forward to cause the Admins to take a second look at this.
On the other hand, if those who have this toy, use it responsibly, it would add a sense of realism and enjoyment for all. Since those with infinite cloaks do not wish to have it removed, it is in there best interest not to grief the community with it. I gather, both from what they have said and from my own personal experience, that they are trying to be responsible with their gift.
So, again, I encourage patience. Lets see how this thing plays out. If it is abused as people claim it is, show the Admins. Simple voicing of concerns is not sufficient for change. Real gameplay examples will take you much further. Who knows, maybe you might actually enjoy RP'ing with these ones.

Provide the DSAce log of that situation, keeping the automatic timestamps.
Deathmessages also have timestamps in the DSAce.log file.
If "uncloak+1-liner+blue message" are very close to each other, you have proven the point of "toy abuse".
That's what was requested by the Admin in here.
Everybody who really plays the game knows it has happened already.
It just hasn't happened to the few players who are capable of screening and reporting it correctly.
In no response to anyone in particular just some random thoughts on the matter.
In the past it had been the ability of (back then) Keeper ID owner to shoot anything, what is commonly used to be referred as 'terrorist-type ID'. Oh my, the hysteria was phenomenal in its disproportion. Well, that was six years ago. As any sane person would have expected the server didn't die because of that, people came and went, no final nails hammered in the coffin of Discovery, unless you count Gallia as such, hehehe. Remember how that went too? Yeah, "remove kebabGallia", "Gallia sucks", and so on and so forth. Of more recent reactions there was a hysteria about public Nomad ID. "No arrpee!! Anfair!" goes some random bugger whose best lines don't strand away from 'red on scanner, engagabung!'. And then countless other things between and before that I could name, but what is common for them all? The initial overreaction from unhealthy sensitive, overly imaginative and touchy individuals that seem always inhabit this community. Some people are bent on seeing only negative aspects while discarding anything positive, unable to perceive the subject from the perspectives other than that of their own. Names change, faces change, but behavior often remains the same. Talking about apocalyptic things reminded me that didn't we pass that so-called 'end of the world' thing back in 2012 or when was it? Nah, that was surpassed by the kind of reactions we're seeing here, now that's where the drama is. I do wonder at what point it'll break down to the bitter bottom where behind the fancy talk exposed it's usually just a bunch of disgruntled and envious individuals going extra public lengths in their effort to take away something they do not possess. Oh, InternetDiscovery, why you tickle and entertain me so much with misplaced attention and wanton karlottism...
Time will tell, mistakes happen as do overreactions about 'em too. Discovery community could do better than acting as a mindless and hysterical lynch mob.
I do wonder why is the sanction stuff had been brought in here in the first place? Sanction thread isn't locked, so those involved go back and debate over it there. I don't think that attempting to push it over here will actually score you enough brownie points from the less savvy folks.
ok my 2 cents on this why is it the topic title is DEAR JANSEN when all he did was post the sanction it took most of the admin to give the Guilty verdict.
so why dont all the haters stop QQing and get on with the game

They didn't push it over here, I did. After the last thread on this subject was derailed and locked, I wanted to bring this up again and point out that this has been, and is being, abused.
Regrettably a misuse may occasionally happen, and not necessarily out of malcontent, either way we are monitoring them closely. From my last conversation with vrabeck I think das wilde are now adopting a ruleset (may not be the same as the one others use) regarding conditions of cloak usage already. Isenjin already do.
Sure some people will still be butthurt about being killed by nomads/wilde, cloak or not. It wouldn't matter to them if there was an engagement notice or anything at all, some folks just can't simply accept they are being shot and there might be no way out of it, no option of 2mils to pay. Heard plenty throughout six years being here, that's within the norm around.
It would have been abuse if it was systematic over a notable period of time, say two-three months for a good statistical measure, but so far there were only a few cases I can count by one hand. Doesn't stand up to the numbers of zoner capital ships abuses, for instance. The difference is quite significant there.
I have only had bad experiences with the Wilde player faction (one member in particular who has shown complete disregard for the rules). And so those assurances are not worth much. I think only butthurt can come of this; I would rather see something done pre-emptively so that this is no longer an issue, rather than having to play sanctionlancer.
