RM doesn't have any bribes Blodo... quite a difference there. It does definitely not take 10 mins.... oh and we need to get our nukes from delta.
RM has changed it's money system recently and it's just now starting up.
As I told somewhere else, the obvious problem is that all except me in the RM high command live in America (North or South:)).
Two days ago I was attacked by an untagged RHA member with Trader ID. even though I warned him 6 times that a "trader" should not attack me. You said something about paperwork?
EDIT: And yes I have screens.
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
The bribes was just an example, I know it has no bribes. What I do target is how the RM policy looked thus far ("5 mil and that's it"). So if it is changing, then I am looking for any sort of indication that it's more efficient now. Because so far it really wasn't.
Also, what was the name of the RHA with the Trader ID? It's nice and all that you say it, but if you have proof then please post it.
Blodo, no screenshots are needed. That was me that engaged Mjolnir in Stuttgart. I was in the middle of setting up an RHA Loki and filling in the nav map in Stuttgart when I spotted him. Out of sheer boredom and wanting to have some fun, I exchanged a few rounds with him.
I personally don't think it's a huge issue, I'm already a member of RHA and the ship was named correctly.
But, if I'm wrong, I'll be the first to admit it and I apologize for any out of RP behavior.
' Wrote:This is in response to Mjolnir saying in the event thread that he set up 6 recruits by himself recently.
Yesterday I managed to set up a recruit for battle in nothing short of record time. 10 minutes from the moment he logged on in NY, and he was fighting off a BHG with the rest of us in a fully equipped Odin. Either way, you guys could use a more efficient setup mechanism than "bring your own money and/or stuff". RHA gives out 25 mil (not including the razor, nuke mine and debs they get from armoury) to everyone who joins, so they can get the standard issue loadout, ship, armour, bribes, the works. It's not like we are swimming in cash, but I and a couple other people simply donate what we trade up. More often than not I am getting called by other members about that they would like to donate cash to the armoury, and as such the machine is constantly rolling.
Unarmoured and underequipped RM rookies would've been in RP if this was still Niemann's Rheinland, but it no longer is:PPerhaps you guys could use a few reforms to the ol' recruiting and paperwork station?
Blodo, ever since May 23rd I've been actively helping in the recruitment process in the RM. From that date to now (2 months) we've processed 29 applications. Three from those weren't accepted. 26 pilots x 25 million credits make 650 million credits. That's quite a lot of money.
If a guy is so new to the server that he hasn't a trader set up yet, we'll try and help him out setting up his ship. In the last three weeks I must have given away some 150 million credits in equipment and money to new people so they properly set up their ships. I don't agree with giving money to established players, though. If someone that has the means to do so, won't put enough effort to set up a fighter for a faction they've chosen to play in, it's likely they won't put enough effort in playing that character altogether. Remember that the RM isn't involved in piracy. The time an old member will spend trading would be much better spent being around and training the new guys.
Donations to the faction have been instituted recently as part of the requisite to advance in its hierarchy. However, even considering that we'd still be short on money if we were to finance everyone. Specially when you consider that the natural thing is for a player to give up the game or the faction after some time.
I'd like to ask, do you escort traders that request an escort through your space while there are pirates, terrorists, or Nomads around?
I ask because I have asked idle RM members that are just sitting outside New Berlin while another member of either the RM or RFP were present to guard the planet for an escort through Stuttgart when warned of pirates or Wilde and I have been denied everytime
Thank you for any answer.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
If there are RFP around, that would fall into their jobs, but if there is a group left to guard NB from the inevitable smugglers/pirates/etc that meander past the planet, sending a snub fighter to keep you company and more speedily acquire aid should a fight break out seems reasonable. Then again if you lead us into ambushes we'll shoot you first.
Hi folks I have a bit of a query for the RM players;
In short, where are you all?
I did a couple of recruitment applications in the RM forum the other day and while I wasnt expecting an immediate response or anything, the lack of activity on that forum in general is a little worrying.
Now before anyone jumps down my throat about real life commitments, I'm more aware than most people; I myself work 10 hour shifts, 6 days in a row. However, while I am in the GMT zone, I go on the server at many different times of day, especially morning and late evening, and I swear I don't think I've seen a single RM player in weeks.
The existence of the Diamond-Niobium run and the proximity of Rheinland to many lawless systems, means that New Berlin sees perhaps more than its fair share of pirates, non-roleplaying power traders, and.. well (and I hate this word) noobs.
I want to join the RM because I love the background of Rheinland, the ships, and the challenge. I want to be part of a committed, active faction with some great role play opportunities, but I don't want to get my ass kicked all the time due to being the only player on.
New Berlin, has become a total nest of idiots in the last few days, especially in the evenings (GMT), and is badly in need of de-lousing.
So guys, the RM is a faction I'd love to see re-invigorated, I just hope some of the RM hierarchy read this.
Cheers.;)
PS - I dont need any financial help, my chars are ready and just await the go word to name change & include the RM tag.
Oh, and thanks to Virus on the RM forum for acknowledging my applications. I await your decision.
Low presence, RHA looks more like regular Rheinland army than RM, too much crime in Rheinland without any response (I dont mean pirates now, I mean smuglers, unregistered capships, BHG capships without asking etc. etc.... there is serious mess in Rheinland).
I hope Lib. vs Rheinland war bring more players into RM (seriously I like RMs more than those indies) but from Kusarian example we can be sure about that :(:
