Mal rose, placing a hand on Sarah's back for support. Very nice support..
As he walked towards a nearby exit, he tapped his temple once to activate messages. He listened to Reggie's plea for information regarding Baffin, noting the degree of concern in his voice.
Leo sees the people talking and having a good time. He turns to someone when he gets a message... checks its personal computer.. "My dear friend I need to leave the ship for a day or two. Please enjoy being here and don't bother yourselves. I'll be back as soon as I can, but since it's an urgent request I need to attend to.
I see everyone of you have found its partners so chat, eat and do whatever you want to."
Leo turns to a crew member.
"Please equip a vessel properly and it should be ready to depart in an hour!"
After giving the orders, rushes to his quarters, changes his clothes and sits down a little to think...

The woman stood up against the wall all the time, staring at the various people with an indecipherable expression.
She didn't smile nor spoke to anybody.
She was merely observing, crossing her arms.
If someone could see auras, he would be able to see a large one, irradiating happiness and pleasure, while a small one was attacked by the large one, trying to keep her integrity.
Yet the little one seemed to be impenetrable.
The woman allowed herself to grin ironically when Malaclypse did his toast.
Love? What had this to do with anything?
Love was only a chemical process apes tended to associate with some higher empathic link.
Nonsense.
Mnemosym used loved. She didn't let it use her.
She gave a deep glance at Mal-3 when he came to her, offering his hand.
The woman puffed, making her face veil wave a bit.
"Malaclypse. We're going."
She said coldly, as if she was talking to a kid.
The amount of disrespect was fairly high, and the guests who were close enough to hear raised an eyebrow in perplexity.
Mnemosym was already walking away, moving to the docks of the vast Juggernaut.
She didn't even give a blessing, nor greeted anyone, leaving some kind of discomfort behind her.
Malaclypse shrugged and smiled at the others guests.
"That woman... Has issues, popes. Don't mind her."
Leo returned to the ship after a few hours. He investigated something and since there was no other lead he turned back to Baffin. Docked the Leonardo then returned to the restaurant...
Meanwhile he talked with the XO...
"Please prepare the destroyer in the hangar and the fighters, it might happen we'll need to use them soon. Equip them with deep space exploration sensors and load some ammunition since it can happen that we'll have a few conflicts out there... So the crew of the destroyer and the pilots should stand by."
A few seconds later he arrived to the complex where the other were talking with each other, eating and enjoying their company.
"Sorry for rushing away, I've had some thing to solve, for now, I'm back..."
Mal turned to Leo.
"-What happened Leo?
-Well nothing serious, for now I cannot tell anything, but as soon as it will be important I'll share with you."

Sarah didn't really know Mnemosym. It was the first time she had seen her. Before this, she had only heard of her.
"Kind of.....cold isn't she?" she asked quietly to Mal as she leaned to him. After an affirmative answer, Sarah sipped her wine and took a bite of food. She just wanted to enjoy the company as best as she could.
Mal pondered Sarah's question awhile before responding, toying with his own dessert..
"To be honest, Commander, I know little about the lady myself. Apparently she joined our 'Flock' during one of my... sabbaticals.
"She's very secretive about her 'agenda', although there are rumors that she and her little cabal of 'scientists' have attempted to meddle with human evolution, both physically and on the 'spiritual' level..."
Sarah seemed taken aback by his answer."And was she successful?"
"Well, I can only point to one rumored 'experiment' in answer.. that of Mnemosym's own daughter, Concordia..
"From my contact with the young girl, it seems she is extremely intelligent and.. 'loving'... perhaps overly so.
"But it also is quite obvious that Concordia's development has somehow been arrested.. and that she is not aware of her own potential.
"Personally, I believe that is the reason for Mnemosym's 'dark' aura and solitary demeanor. On the one hand, she still loves the girl, who is now afraid of her own mother..
"On the gripping hand, I think she is ashamed of her actions, but will not admit them, nor will she let love guide her path.
"I grieve for both mother and daughter; but my attempts at reconciliation have failed. I can only hope and pray that somehow, sometime, Goddess will intervene to show them both the 'way home'.."
Mal could sense that his comments had disturbed Sarah, tossing a blanket on her previous perky mood.
He placed his hand over hers on the table, and leaned closer.
"Sarah, that call I took earlier was rather urgent. I need to look into something for an old friend. Would you care to join me aboard my Geisha for a little 'fact-finding' cruise? I believe we have 'flown the colors' sufficiently here, eh?"
Within a matter of moments they had paid their respects to their host Leonardo, visited their quarters to collect their gear, and were walking towards Bay 1 and the E-Prime's waiting shuttle.

Sarah had no time to change out of the dress she wore. She didn't feel quite right flying in it but for now, she had little choice. In fact, she didn't even have time to grab a bag.
"Fact finding cruise," she asked of Mal, "this should be interesting. If you can get me to Shasta for a few minutes, I can get into something a bit more.....travel worthy."
With that, they boarded the shuttle.
Reynard went to to CIC, sit down and ordered the officers...
"After the last ship undocks, prepare the engines, put the weaponry on stand by mode. We'll test them, since it is possible we need to use them. All personnel, take his place and stand by for departing. We leave the system. XO, please call the security and tell them to handle civilians on the ship, and help them to find their apartments."
Stands up and moves to the navigational board, and points to a location.
"We'll take this route, through this system. After we complete jump, stand by for new orders. Once we'll get to hostile environment, hail the respective vessels and tell them we are in a search, don't engage us. If they threatens our ship, neutralize them."
