I think it would make sense for each house to have their own colors on their gates/lanes kinda to show house pride and all.

The Nomads have different Gates and Lanes since they were made by different groups. The Dam K'Vosh built the Gates and Lanes for the Nomads; Ageira and DSE built the human versions. Get it?


Also, the choice for 'decorations' isn't up to each House to decide, not unless they wanted to spend a lot more money on an already expensive project.

No. Not right. Only Ageira knows actual technology behind that.
Gallia stole Ageira's knowledge and managed to engineer themselves.

Oh. And I can assure you that houses would need IC to fund rebuilding house specific gate/lane systems. And I am sure they would rather avoid taking loans again for such trivial case.
