From: Remika "Razor" Hakkera, pilot of the Dragon's Edge, independent Blood Dragon
I will hunt you down if you come near kusari, you have no honor, normally i have a bit of respect for BAF members, but you dishonor yourself and your country by abandoning them. I as a blood dragon will show you No mercy if you are near my ZoI.
Hakkera Out.

Her Majesty's Ship. HMS. Putting that designation in front of the name of your vessel implies a great deal...first and foremost, that the Queen does in fact command the loyalty of you and your crew. I can, without reservation, say that is true for the eight men and women that I am honored to command aboard my gunboat. We have faced death together numerous times, both at the hands of Kusari caps in the Taus, against a hacker fleet (twice), and against the Corsairs in the Omegas, among others.
It may well be that we are fighting a losing war. But, what of it? Are we, then, to grovel and beg before the feet of our most hated enemies? Where the bloody hell has your sense of pride gone? Have you no dignity? No sense of determination? I don't know what BAF or Queen you serve, sir, but the BAF of which I am a member, the Queen to whom I swore an oath of service...well. I do believe the good Admiral has said it quite well enough already.
You, sir, are an insult to the BAF uniform...and while I will not attack you directly without explicitly being ordered to do so - it's civility and honor, you wouldn't understand - don't expect me to come to your aid when if you should happen to get swarmed by Gaian bombers, or Corsair gunboats...you wish to act independently of the Queen's approval? Then you shall also act independently of her support. Good day.

As i see, the Bretonia would rather go extinct then ally with someone.
I'm really considering deserting BAF, and i dont think my crew would mind, we have no reason to fight in a war that is already as good as lost...
If i get permition by Zoners to refuel and repair at FP11, me and my crew will stay there and protect them from nomads in return. If not, we will find someone that can make some use of my, i mean our battleship.
You are just afraid of changes, thats all.

As good as lost?! Pah! Our Hussars are nimble, but darned effective! The border is currently stable and we are preparing counter offensives under Project: Normandy. Show some courage, soldier!
Now, that vessel is the Queen's darn property, so get your buttocks back to doing what the Bretonian Empire's people pay you for! We've deflected attacks from Nomads from our own borders before, so quit your roguish behaviour immediately and do your job defending Leeds from assault!
I don't care why this war was started or of the politics behind it all, because I am a Christ-forsaken professional. My job involves protecting the interests of Her Majesty's public. Not engaging in diplomacy with the Corsairs that attempt to ravage Cambridge on a daily basis for their juvenile kicks.
Now, Captain, get back to your military duties, and leave the diplomacy to the politicians. Consider that an order, a Royal Decree or whatever, just see that you do it.

To: The "Captain" of the "HMS" Invincible...
You are a fine example of a britonian, cowardly enough to sacrofice your honor in a misguided attempt at rescue. A kusari Officer would die before asking help from low-life Pirates. Perhapse, if you surrender the Invincible to us, my superiors would consider sparing your life...

Sir, it appears that while your intentions are good, I fear that you do not have the true facts that currently plague the great house of Bretonia. It appears QCO has already disagreed with the alliance, and the SF does too. Please, we prefer requests, not requirements when working with other Bretonian organizations.
The Corsairs want no dealings with Bretonia. They are a group of greedy pirates, terrorists, to the nation of Bretonia. If they for some reason want dealings, then I can imagine it being over one issue: Nomads. However, they withdrew this agreement some time ago, and as such are hostile to the forces of Bretonia.
Additionally, while I cannot speak for other Bretonian groups, the SF wants no dealings with the Corsairs either. They are, in my mind, nothing more than criminals. We will not have dealings with criminals now or later. Additionally, the SF will not condone the HMS Invincible supporting Corsairs, Zoners, or being stationed in a system that may affect our relations with other factions. The defense of Corsairs will mean outrage from the other houses as this will allow them to move through our space - Bretonian Space - to theirs.
Again, I reiterate that your intentions were good. However, I do not think that this would be able to work. I do hope that you can understand my fears towards this, and what it may do to Bretonia.
Regards,
Fleet Admiral Hyperwave of the Sirius Federation

Subject: Britonian Alliance with Known Pirate Factions
ICO can not condone overt affiliation with known criminal factions. We realize desperate times call for unusual measures but we can not be part of this. If Britonia goes through with any form of an alliance with the Corsairs, Outcasts, or other pirate groupes we will have to terminate our standing contract with them.
This is not the same as offering food to starving families on Crete. This is emboldening and enabling the enemy. Giving food to starving families is much better PR than siding with the enemy, whatever the reasons.
