Seriously though, a missile is nice for popping gunboat and fighter hulls. Just one will help. Make sure to keep turrets, missiles and forward guns all on separate weapons groups.

I'm going to guess you mean shield, rather than hull. Because gunboats missiles do a grand total of 1 (one) hull damage, but will insta fighter shields.
yeah, full turrets or turrets+forward gun. Nothing else. Avoid mounting razors and pulses unless you're going anti snub. Solaris? Meh. Cerberus? Umm, if you have a claymore or bottlenose they would work.
