[Open transmission to all OZ Ships and Facilities]
Greetings All
*The picture of Mikrosh Ancestor appears on the screen
as Colin speaks.*
Obsidians, once more I must bring bad news to you.
Our Overseer sadly will no longer return to us, his
strength and spirit brought us here and we will continue
along the path he has paved for us.
Mikrosh was an inspiration to some of us,
a leader to all of us and will be surely
missed. However, from crisis' we must find
hope and seek posterity.
I will be continuing his work, as I have
been doing for the past few weeks.
The only change being that I am now
Overseer and Mr Mathus Rosem will
be taking my place as Chief of Security.
Know, Obsidians, that I will not let you down.
know that we will continue to succeed and
that our people will grow and our children
will be safe.
May our lights guide Mikrosh back to us
some day and our hard work make him
proud of us when he does.
hello fellow obsidians!! i am here to thank you all to give me the oportunity to fly among you. i am now in murillo facility and you know what i like here. good people, the food is not that bad*** laughs***
well i was training to fly your whale ships, its very hard to handle, but i'm getting good at this, thxs to our first run last night. and hyperjumping is awesome.
while on my training session i met some nomads near iota hole.. they where one massive vessel(maybe a batlleship class) and a fihter. i was allredy praying for my ancestors when they just vanished. think i am the most lucky guy in sirius heh..
*A young boy appears on the screen with a dark hood covering most of his face.* 'Hello fellow Obsidians, my name is Connor Vincent, but you can call me Blue, I've been inducted into the group as a new Security Force Junior Intel officer, I've been told that my unique sense of sight will give us an advantage in the gathering of intel and will help keep our systems clear of Nomads and Bounty Hunters given that i can see most ships before they can see me or before they even show up on sensors, I'm also very talented in the different tech fields and am very inventive. I hope that my skill set will be of use to the OZ and that I can be of use to you all as well.
This is Junior Intel Officer Blue signing off.'
[color=#FFFFCC]*The transmission begins in a darkened hospital room showing the top of a head of shiny silver hair* "Umm, excuse me nurse... nurse, would you mind adjusting the camera so that they don't just see my hair? Sure hun.
*The camera shakes slightly as it's slowly moved down to reveal Blue covered in
bandages and for once his hoodie has been removed to reveal his luminescent blue eyes*
Well, I was going to be making this brief a few days ago but unforeseen developments
resulted in my almost dying at the hands of some invading Nomads, but seeing as how I'm recovering nicely,
the doctors here on Star fortress have granted me access to the coms so that I can make my report.
As of 8 days ago, I was making a short trip around our territory and its neighboring systems with Ms. O'hanna
so as to get myself acquainted with them; we had just made the jump through the Omega 41 to Omicron
Gamma jump hole when we came across a new Corsair Base stationed right beside the jump hole. Its name
is Porto Del Sol and It appeared to be core 3 at the time with 2 Weapons platforms, we spoke with a corsair
that happened to be docking with the new station that told us we would be allowed docking rights, and that it
was placed there to keep watch over the traffic to and from Gamma and Om. 41. We then were given
permission to continue on our way thankfully without having to pay a travel tax, as we made our way through
our trip we came across a few Nomads that we dispensed without any real trouble and it was only after we
returned to Omicron Delta that we found something of real consequence.
We came across a random Ai probe that we began conversing with and found its designation to be Hieman
and that it was in fact a small part of a much larger entity that is studying human behavior. We were informed
that it does human testing and that it considers Corsair's to be its enemies, but that it found the OZ to be its
friends and that we appeared to be the least hostile group it had discovered as of yet. The probe explained
that it tried to dock on Murilo but was denied access and it was only after a short discussion that Ms. O'hanna
authorized docking rights for it and any of its other counterparts. Before it left it transferred a gift of good will
to us that contained a few Nomad remains then continued on its travels.
A short time later I was dispatched to a possible Nomad presence in Delta and was quickly defeated by said
Nomads, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up in the med wing on Star Fortress. Well that concludes my
Intelligence report.
*A dark figure apears on your screen, a single red light illuminates only slight fetures of the person before you...*
Good day OZ Brethren. As much as it pains me to see the Ancestor go, it opens a new dawn for our particular
group of people. I humbly accept the title of Security of Chief. Together we are strong, apart we shall cruble like
weak foundations of ignorance. Nothing will go un-noticed in our realm, just as the nomads seek to destroy us,
so will we seek to keep our space free of thier filth.
*The transmission cuts abruptly leaving nothing but a static hiss where his face used to be.*
I am glad you have both managed to find this channel in
your respective offices:
Rosem make sure mine stays nice
and tidy please... I remember your last office.
Vincent, I expect important updates only in here
please... most don't get access to Command Comm
channels so early.
I do hope that the Porto Del Sol issue will be
resolved by yourself Rosem, consider it your first
duty as me...
Anyway onto other issues, with the success of PFI)'s
deliveries to MMF I am considering setting up paid
work for OZ to deliver to SF for the production
of Cloaking Devices to be sold on the the mass market.
Why are we selling nomads for dirt cheap when instead
we could be manufacturing the end result and selling
that instead?
Also with the JZ-Mother.Whale left in my care
I am already working to setup a similar new scheme
for those that have joined us from their corporation.
This should also hopefully help fund further projects,
including our Terraforming projects.
I will be putting Mr Shieldson forward to run this
due to his experience as the Commander of the Atlas
and his astounding efforts as Head of Logistics.
However, I believe it will be a full time project
and thus we will have to promote someone to
take control of the current Supply Team and
my proposed new commission traders.
For this I am considering Bret Allerton, he
has shown great promise in diplomacy and
he is one of our best suppliers.
As our funding stretches thinner with each new
project I am making drastic changes to how
our organisation is run. It is time to face the
facts that we are no longer able to spend money
at such ridiculous rates without a reliable means
of drawing in profits.
Our trade jumps between Okinawa and O49 supplying
the OSI and GMG with their alternate forms of fuel
is but one way of making money. Having a single
means is not reliable,
Because of this I am putting a lot more pressure on
the restoration of the JZ within our people and
I am going to be turning over free use of the House
Ferries for independent trade. As well as this
I have decided to invest in a scheme that has been
brought to my attention by one of our traders;
he believes that the transport services between
Freeports and Zoner installations are not regular
enough and that if we can provide them we could
make a decent profit.
This happily coincides with our own goals as the
OZ will soon be in need of people transports for
transportation of Refugees to Murilo. And thus
I have had our commerce department buy
an old liner on the cheap and we will be using this
to test our scheme before fully investing in new
liners.
As well as this our sales department has been
given almost free reign to do whatever they can to
make a profit.
Some of our ideals must be dropped; times are
hard and money does not grow on trees.
A certain event happened the other day,
Mr Allerton brought to my attention a 77th
vessel stranded in our space near the Mu
jump hole... Anyway... I couldn't get a hold
of you ma'am and I didn't particularly want
to see the energy signatures of their
exploding hulls when the first Order ship
passed by.
Under the escort of two of the security
bombers I used one of the Salvage ships
to tow their ship back to the Freeport in
Delta.
Do not worry about your actions Mr Shieldson,
I am sure they were for the best... Forgive my
slow response I was dealing with a rather
interesting transmission log I received from
Mr Allerton not to mention a mountain of
other tasks.
It brings me happiness to see that you have
recently reconnected our people with the TAZ
and that they will be so capable of supplying
Murilo with the last few things it needs before
our first wave of Refugees can be brought to
their new homes.
The next month will bring great things for our
people... Great things indeed.
*The screen powers up with a slight glitchy image* Argghh, why is it that every ship i own has such crappy comms....... work you frakin thing......BANG *The screen instantly clears up to reveal a darkened bridge and a pair of slightly luminescent Blue eyes* Umm, yeah, hello Ms O'hanna and every body else flying the Obsidian colors, the doctors here on Star Fortress have cleared me for active duty so if theres a need for an escort please dont hesitate to reach out and contact me. As for my Intel duties ill be taking off once ive been given the green light from the dock master, so i should hopefully be making an Intel Brief within the next day or so. Umm... so, i think that about sums up all that i need to report at this moment, so good luck to all of you and and safe flying out there. Blue signing off
