That would kind of kill the point of the server being an RP server, but I see your point. I don't think the server is at it's pinnacle if everyone is RPing all the time. When people greet me it feels stale and forced, not like they're actually happy to see me or that they're really saying hello.

Indeed. It is more about having fun with friends. Just make RP optional and we can end the Q_Q already.

Yes, they forgot to realize that Open Market is RP because they visit Ships for Sale which they confuse that they post oorp things. I even see posts saying PM in game (which refers to this game, FL) in the Open Market section.

Ah yes, thats why you see people not flying to where ship is parked? Enforcing to RP something the owner of said ship, aka the OORP player, shouldnt have to be in RP because tis something we do OORPly.

If I wanna rp buying a ship, which is what I currently am doing with COlonials, I will RP it in comm channels of said shipyard. Not in ships wanted. It only costs more time, and thats not all we have.
Its also about the only section that features OORP elements, which shouldnt hurt you at all.

Selling or buying ships: Which is for ships, and description clearly states this is not a roleplaying forum.

You can shoot me for saying this, but I personally think that the Open Market board shouldn't have to be inRP.
You're asking for an item or selling something, not having a huge long winded conversation.

This is exactly how I feel. I do plenty enough rp in-game. When I want to buy or sell something on the forums I just want to do it quickly and get back to the game. I think the open market should be changed to oorp.

Honestly... i'm not certain if what the OP said is true or not, but in my opinion he's right, if the Open Market section is beginning to have more ooRP posts, mods should do something about it.

Now, to get on the last few posts i've read:

I believe the thread itself is about the Open Market section, but people also began discussing about the Buy/Sell Ships section.

And regarding those of you who say the Open Market should be ooRP... i sincerely say "no". Why make it an ooRP section? First of all, it would take away the interesting feel in the forum RP, not to mention that THIS IS an RP server, so it's bound to have RP in most of it's areas (including forums). Nobody says you have to write long posts that will probably be boring to you and maybe even the reader. All you need is to make it look good and that's that. And more-over, you can always set up a draft in order to use it in all your posts... that will surely give you bonus time.
