Since the brokering of the Kusari-Rheinland economic pact, ties have been forged between the Houses.
As a further demonstration of co-operation, the forces of both Houses have agreed to sign a treaty – allowing each limited access to its neighbour in the interests of a safer, closer Sirius.
Purpose of treaty:
The purpose of this document is to define and preserve the agreements made between each House and their enforcers.
Operation:
Rheinland military and Marinenachrichtendienst are permitted to:
Enforce Kusari law within the Honshu system, excluding the marked zones.
Patrol the Honshu system, excluding marked zones, and assist in enforcement of Kusari law where appropriate.
Enforce Rheinland law concerning target pursuit from Rheinland, within the entirety of the Honshu system, except marked exclusion zones.
Come to Honshu for tea and karinto.
Kusari naval forces and kempeitai are permitted to:
Enforce Rheinland law within the Frankfurt system, except the Westerwald exclusion zone.
Patrol the Frankfurt system, with the exclusion of the Westerwald nebula and assist in enforcement of Rheinland law where appropriate.
Enforce Kusari law concerning target pursuit from Kusari within the Frankfurt system except for the Westerwald .
Come to Holstein for beer and strudel.
Patrols in foreign space, by either House, will not include battleships.
Intelligence:
Intelligence agents agree not to gather any data within territory of the other House.
This treaty is hereby signed into law by I, Nikolaus Rheinhardt, Kanzler of Rheinland, acting with the authority vested in my office by the Federal Republic of Rheinland.
The terms of this treaty are hereby committed to the codex by myself, Nagata Yuri as Bakuryō-chō taru Kaishō and Chief of Staff, acting with the power granted by the Democratic Republic of Kusari. Nagata Yuri
