Unauthorized changes? I'm pretty sure the faction leaders have control over any changes.
If one did an extremely stupid change, sure, but I don't recall that ever happening. They have been quite consistent and updated accurately.
Unless this has a reason that we don't know about and will be disclosed later, i have to agree with the others who posted before me. I can't change the image for the Orca right now, why should i bother a mod? I can do it myself, faster, the way i like it.

This subforum must include a thread with a copy of their approved request to serve as their faction status post. This thread will be locked and pinned in the faction subforum. Any updates to the faction status must be approved by the administrators team before implementation to the faction status thread posted in the faction subforum.
EDIT: Here's [what I guess is aerelm's] reasoning. I admittedly had forgotten this was supposed to be a thing, CR| definitely isn't the same as it started.
Once the complaints came up I realised no-one had announced about it being the above, but you can ask a mod to do cosmetic changes (i.e. give them the updated code) and anything more significant that may require admin discussion to us.
So we're referencing an old rule from something made in 2006?
After we've gone this long editing our own status threads and *Gasp* we didn't absolutely completely break the hell out of everything?
Do you know how absolutely ridiculous it will be whenever someone promotes a member or recruits someone or just about anything and we have to ask for permission and then you people take a vote? A vote? Admins? No offense, but I'd rather not wait 5-10 business years to be able to add someone to my own roster or to change what song inspires the SCRA on that particular moment.
We're not children, we're faction leaders, we're capable of dealing with the status threads ourselves thank you very much and we've done so successfully since 2006. What's the worst we could possibly do? Honestly? And if someone is honestly stupid enough to do the worst you imagine then simply revoke their officiality instead of treating us like we're 10 year olds who need to ask permission to use the bathroom because heaven forbid we handle situations and problems ourselves.

So now official factions, which should have their own say in their own development are just being cut out of the loop? Sure, people claim conspiracy all the time, but this is pretty damning for the admin team.

Kind of violating this. Roleplay is by definition unscripted performance of a particular role. Having every little decision approved by an admin team is limiting and downright out of place in a Roleplaying community.
Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.
