Today, after hiring the miner Brian.Chester who hailed me from Cambridge, I was able to deliver three loads of Beryllium to Oceana Shipping Platform.
That means that the station has just under 15k of ore to sell to any pilots who would like to make the very profitable run from Oceana to Planet Pittsburgh.

Today I was running Hull Segments from Freeport 4 to Oceana Shipping Platform.
My pilot grew tired of the sharp bends in the trade lanes leading between the Freeport and Cortez and decided, without my leave, to head off across the Barrier to the Cortez jump hole.
Once this came to my attention I ordered him to head back, but he then told me that while I had been locked in the loo we had already completed a run through the asteroid belt without incident.
I relented and let him try the same route again. However, this time was not so uneventful.
As we neared the jump hole we spotted a Xeno off the starboard bow. He was civil enough, but clearly not pleased with our presence in unlawful territory.
I told my pilot to commit to our current course without making any sudden deviations. While he piloted carefully toward the hole I kept the Xeno talking, exchanging pleasantries and establishing my agreeable nature.
He played along for a bit, but as the following video captures show he soon caught onto our bluff and began making demands.
Fortunately, by this time we were near Oceana and the defensive turrets took care of the rest of the job.
I feel pity for the poor, unfortunate Xeno. I would have tossed him a few million credits if he wanted them-- they tend to be a raggedy lot. But the good news is that our crew on Oceana are good at their job! Crack-marksmen one and all!
Caution pilots: Take care not to be destroyed by pirates while hauling necessary base supplies because requisitioning a new vessel will take at least two hours. It would be best to appease pirates, even though my ploy was successful. The company is insured and will gladly recompense your piracy expenses.

According to my research on sourcing Beryllium Ore from Cambridge, Oceana is ideally situated to provide a trade hub for both Beryllium Ore (to ship to Pittsburgh) and Boron (to be shipped back from Pittsburgh to Oceana and from Oceana to Planet New London).
Attached are my findings, which are made available to all Gateway pilots:
We have conducted further research on sourcing Raw Hydrocarbons from Omega-3 and have concluded that Oceana is ideally situated to provide a trade hub for both Raw Hydrocarbons (to ship to Pittsburgh) and Boron (to be shipped back from Pittsburgh to Oceana and from Oceana to Planet New London or Aland Shipyard).
Attached are my findings, which are made available to all Gateway pilots:
Continuing my research I have looked into sourcing Platinum from Alberta and have concluded that Oceana is well situated to be a mid-way point for Platinum (to ship to Waterloo) with Tea close by on Curacao (to be shipped back from Cortez to FP14 in Alberta) and with Curacao as a sell-point for Diamonds (which can be brought back from Waterloo).
Attached are my findings, which are made available to all Gateway pilots:
Departed Bretonia Space on route to the Northern Liberty systems with a small load. Just enough to earn a small crust. A good trip until I hit the New York System when 2 neutral ships called a system channel "Halt". Next second I am blown to smithereens.
My escape pod was recovered by a Synth Foods pilot and now I am back on New London.
Offending neutral ships were:
NightBringer- Capt Porco
Amunaki
I returned no weapons fire as I remain basically unarmed.
Looking for local work in order to get back into business.
I was successful in getting into another vessel and found a job moving Gin to Tokyo which got me a bit more scratch, so now I'm out of the red after some low life's tried to end my short career. Not a chance.
Some problems with the FA but I outran them with little problem.
Flying for a couple of days now I had hoped to team up with other Gateway pilots but they seem to be enjoying a weekend break. Good for them.
Hoping to find more profitable routes later to add to the Gateway Bank but until then I am sinking a few beers with an old buddy who may just have a few good trade routes up his sleeve.
A good day hauling Gin, saki and Liberty Ale so all the bars will be full tonight. Profit is slow but slowly building.
Disappointing in that I have seen no other flyer from the company out this weekend except Sapphire. Hi Sapphire you must have been concentrating on the task in hand as you did not return my hail. However I can understand that with the bandits that lurk in the trade lanes. The hackers were busy today but I dodged them.
If any of you guys want to tell me your trade route secrets please give me the benefit of your experience in order that I can raise the level of my bank balance and that of the company.

What a day! Finished our deliveries to Fort Severn for the Cold Lake Project, along with Capt. Kreman of the GSV-Troll.1.
Afterwards, I headed back to Curacao for a massage, and then managed to get about 10k of FOW delivered to Oceana Shipping Platform. From there, I headed to New London to pick up both Hull Segments and some Reinforced Alloys for Oceana as well..
We'll be needing those Hull Segments soon, as we're going to be having another Cargo Module upgrade. So, best start getting them stored and ready now.
