CD traders, demand credits/cargo, take them down to 51% shield, don't destroy them.
I think this is fine, and within the rules, I can say what I want as a Freelancer right? I can tell someone I'm going to kill them, as a bluff, I'm allowed to CD people and shoot them, providing I don't do more than 50% shield damage.
Would like clarification on this from an admin please.
Experienced traders are that angry about having to stop for a few minutes that I think this would work, they'd pay.
I want to RP a wannabe pirate that's too scarred to kill people.
Well I think you know that the average trader will react by firing back at you when you start gunning his shields, resulting in you being free to engage in self-defense.
Well you can RP same thing with Pirate ID, don't see it as a tool for "I have to pirate now".
And since you're "attacking" traders sort of, you're still a criminal in law eyes, so no docking on lawful stations as well.
Back when I played in 4.85 I had the worst pirate ever, he would ask for 10k and like a unit of cargo, and I don't think I destroyed a single trader, those who wouldn't pay I would just annoy them for a while, was using LF

Hehe, man, did you forget how many traders qq when they are pirated by pirate ID with Freelancer IFF? Imagine number of qq during this "bluff piracy" with Freelancer ID
But seriously, I doubt admins would have any understanding with this tactics as it smells like going around of limitations for pirate ID, rule lawyering and simply being...I think you got it.
You want to RP pirate who for some reason can´t kill people? Good, put pirate ID on your ship and go play it. Why you need Freelancer ID for it?

Because I'd just end up killing the trader every time, it's too tempting
I don't see why this is against the rules, all I'm doing is CDing the trader and wasting their time, since when have Freelancers been restricted to what words they can speak? (other than profanity obviously).
I actually tried this yesterday with a level 15 char, CDed an official USI player, guess what the first words out of his mouth were? (in system chat).
"you can't pirate with a freelancer id, stop it now or ill report you!!"
What the hell? Even official faction traders can't be bothered with RP because time is so important?
He thought I was a new player, so I rule lawyered with him for a bit and told him to chill out, his final sentence was "i dont want to chill out, you wasted my time!!!!"
Your idea of "bluff piracy" is quite interesting. Here's the problem.....when someone reports you and we're looking over the evidence submitted, there's just no way for us to see that you were bluffing and we're just going to toss your ship in the Bastille.
