Well it is not always beneficial and can even be a bad thing, especially getting someone who has no idea how to play or what RP really is, entering new york. and of course the people *i KNOW they are around here* that will get all over their case for not knowing about it or being "OOC" which can easily make for a really bad experience.
but the fact to have a place to relax in is just kind of nice, don't gotta worry bout being attacked or getting trapped in new your or something with all the ways out, its in the middle of everything, it was a perfect meeting spot that was neutral and safe.
now the only safe spot is to hide all alone or something in some remote system which kinda kills getting to know people outside of RP, since being in RP means that some people act completely different, and using the forum as you mentioned is well, different.
Alright, so in what a chatroom is so terrible instead of wasting the server bandwidth. You will be oorp as much as you like, wont need to worry about being shot and no one will complain at you.
That said, don't be on discovery and a chatroom at a same time? Why would you want to be in both? the server is for rp and gaming. What you describe is a chatroom, and doesn't need you to pilot a ship or anything, so...
Xing that seems a rather biased opinion, just because you don't want to or feel like it doesn't mean everyone else shouldn't, and might i ad, if that was true con wouldn't be set up like that, the fact that con is proves that you can do that, the thing is that con is to much of an out of the way place, NY was a far better choice for it. they are willing to have a neutral space int he game, the problem is were it is located. if anything find a better spot or something.
not everyone likes being forced to RP constantly wile on the game, you could do a lot of other random stuff floating around NY, and was a nice little hub so to speak. who was it that decided to change all this?
ya its a RP server i got it but the point is having someone were you can take a little break form RP and just float around.
Floating around costs real money to the guy operating the server, did you know?
Floating around, it also means using a server place maybe when the server is full, and someone who wants to rp tries to connect, and cant because of people like you, you knew?
So, yeah, you get my point now?
lol you fail to understand that there is ALREADY a place like that. now if those statements really were true, why do they till have such a system in existence? my only statement is the choice of which one that is.
Those statements are true.
And there are no system to linger in fact, pardon me.
It's actually a "fun" place, where you can pvp, make event and race, without being in RP. All but linger, and chatter.
What you suggest is having a chatroom system, which is utterly useless, cost money for nothing and occupy one server place.
The system was set up like that or a very long time, and I'm not sure how its set up in con, not sure if you gotta agree to pvp or if you can just randomly fight people, if so its a totally useless system as well. and it would be nice to have the old NY back.
and if you talk about cost money why don't you just not play and do the server runners a favor im sure igiss and bulldog wouldn't mind that ^.^.
funny i ante seen em around yet, still gotta drop them a message saying im back ^.^
and you can linger anywhere you want if you wanted to go somewhere and hide.
Right, get that in your head.
Nobody wants the old NY back. I already told you the reasons.
If you didn't believed my statement, what do you think the kick for base lingering is for mr.veteran?
' Wrote:liberty police and army said it is ok to be in liberty for while (funeral)... what is wrong? Someone is upset because he missed chance to pvp who*ing?
You know, I could have just engaged the pirates without first asking them in rp I might add, to leave the area? Not my fault I didn't get the memo about LPI and the Navy allowing pirates.
