There's a difference between logging back on, apologizing, withdrawing from the fight, and logging back on, saying "got disconnected so sorry", and resuming to shoot.

There's also a difference between doing it once, and doing it twice knowing and not carrying that its pretty damn annoying and suspicious--looking to the other side.

Still if your computer crashes and then you try to get back it can take longer then 5 min. I knew a guy when he entered sometimes a jumphole or jumpgate his whole computer rebooted instantly to the ramcheck in the bios. Was always are you still there?

I love how all this is happening while we haven't even resolved the issues. I actually have no problem cutting him a break as long as the other admins agree. I just don't want to hear more complaining from the people who reported him as well as complaining from anyone else who has to deal with him disappearing in the future.

In a very oversimplified way, maybe. As the great philosophers remind us, it is all in the distinctions. There is a difference between coming back, explaining what happened and jumping right back in knowing you will probably crash again and coming back to explain and telling people this might not work now. The person who filed this report said they were more than willing to forgive him the first time, but when it happened again they felt they were being taken advantage of.

Catch-22 is easily my favourite book of all time. However, there is a difference between genuine 'sorry, it happened again, carry on plox?' and sending a message out to those who would attempt to use this as a loophole. Whilst vox pop is a sign of a healthy community, let the admins decide, and try to keep calm and carry on.
