Hm, that's rather useless change since there was hardly any problem in fighting on or against Kusari caps in before. Ku Dessie was small but sure had a strong drawback in form of gun arcs that designed only for head-on attacks, you can't TS-TZ on that ship and kite because you won't be shooting even half of your guns. So it was an interesting ship with special role. Now I'm not aware of how it plays out - if nothing was done to it's rear and side defense, along with up and down side defenses (literally all directions except for forward) then I'm ready to consider Ku_dessie a total crap.
Then GB - GB had same problems - it's was kind of stronk back in the era of pre-ts-tz, now it have same disadvantage as for Ku_dessie. It's weapons are only good if attacking head-on. You could not kite for crap on that with that 1 back-looking turret and kugb was falling an easy prey for light crafts that could just stand in it's dead-zone.
Now I'm not aware of what've changed but if nothing was changed except for size then it's very very sad for Kusari.
(But somewhere in the heart I'm happy for a cap-nerf > )

I dunno how to say it. But before you "ballanced" gunboat it was lamest boat on server. With your fix it got... let's say... shittier.
As for destroyer. Honorable developers, let me qq about it, and I hope you will hear my qq as you hear it from dosens of people who don't know that encountering a ship is not necessary in duel and not on the same ship class (where actually Ku Dessie is loosing unless piloted by a much higher skilled pilot) You made it big and it still have lamest fire power to the rear. Is this a ballance?
Are you trying to create a piece of lame work out of your creation? Ahh, sorry, there is not a single person in dev team who was creating this mod. Then it is totally understandable. Second generation usually tend to go... "unwiser". Sure, keep going, keep ruining discovery by the whines of people who don't know how to fight against stuff, don't want to think about it, thus want it nerfed.
Developers are ruining excellent mod update by update :C
They want everything to be balanced, ok I agree but they overdoing it and making all to be hmmm... exactly the same!
This mod is getting to be total conversion. But I love(d) it as some "future of Freelancer space" And I HATE ruining vanila ships and equipment. That is very, very bad. Stup ruining excellent mod please.

It was about time the Destroyer was scaled up a bit. The thing was smaller than half of the gunboats out there.
Having literally a gunboat with cruiser armor and weapons was just plain wrong.
Of course, people that were using it all the time would complain.
Now, fix its power core and weapon arcs, maybe add 2-4 more turrets and it should be fine. It even has at least 4 unused hardpoints.
P.S. Anyone having problems with the Destroyer disappearing when turret steering?

Perhaps because some gunboats are too big? Also, you have nothing wrong with gunboat with Cruiser turrets for Nomads? Those things are far more OP against any kind of snub if flown properly.
Nerfing or buffing single ships for ballance is stupidiest thing there is. Ballance god damn ship lines. Every faction have advantages and disadvantages. Or if you want to ballance single parts give an Outcast fighter anti shield gun to all factions. Because you know, too OP gun.

My point is exactly the same and I told it many times. Try to think about ballancing the ship line, not a ship types. Kusari's bigest advantage is tiny ships, yes. But those ships get annihilated by groups of cruisers and gunboats PERFECTLY! The idea that caps shouldn't fight snubs is only an idea of lazy people who don't want to think more and rather make all things the same with only little changes to make them seem different, or of people who fly snubs, consider themselfs to be good and regularly die or can't do a shiz against some lucky capital ship.

No.
That gunboat is the second biggest in the mod and has only 5 turrets with hilariously bad arcs. Only 2-3 (can't remember) of said turrets can shoot backwards. It's ridiculously easy to hit.
By the way, Nomads (scary aliens, you know) should be OP. They are not, but at least they have cloaks now.

Now that it has proper size, I wonder why that weakness wasn't removed. The ship has 2 unused slots on the engine and at least 2 more on the tip of the "hatchet". All of them should be able to shoot backwards.
This one here is a Liberty Gunboat. It isn't oversized and is not underpowered by any means. In fact it's one of the better gunboats. And it is fatter than the old destroyer.
Let me just remind one thing... Even if it was like a GB, still it wasn't agile like a GB, it couldn't fire backwards like a GB. And simply Destroyer had just one Heavy Cruiser slot. Even Kusari Destroyer could be defeated by Gunboat.

Maybe because all turrets firing forward was a good solution for small cruiser? What's the point of it if it's large just with one Heavy Cruiser slot and all turrets firing forward? Even Thresher (smaller cruiser) has more Heavy Cruiser slots. I would rather agree with lowering armor instead of scaling it up and breaking another Vanilla advantage of Kusari. Liberty has Forward Guns, Rheinland Large and Heavy ships with heavy power cores, Bretonia has good Destroyer and Gunboat and Kusari? Small ships...
That gunboat is not vanilia model, so it kinda CAN be resized. And devs didn't add more guns because they are... well... no idea why? Didn't get their thoughts in that dirrection maybe?
