Quote:1.2 Disconnecting from the server in any situation involving player interaction is not allowed. If you lose server connection, you should get back in game as soon as possible to continue the interaction. If that is not possible, post a note here.
1.3 Every player must have one ID equipped on their ship. Player should follow the restrictions and allowances listed in their ID and their roleplay and conduct must match the actions of their characters. In cases where these restrictions and allowances conflict with the server rules, the ID overrides the rules.
3.1 An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Saying "Engaging" is not sufficient and aggressors are not allowed to destroy a ship before allowing sufficient time to respond. If a player is attacked he has the right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking. Trading nanobots, shieldbatteries or other ammo and equipment during a fight is also considered taking an active role in the engagement.
3.3 Aggressors are not allowed to issue further demands during the same encounter after the trade vessel has complied, or destroy a trade vessel prior to issuing a demand, in system or local chat. "Halt" on its own is not a demand, however, a trade vessel can be destroyed if they refuse to stop after being asked to in the form of a proper demand.
Consequences:
Okay, so lets sum this up, you fly around in your Junker ship, another transport comes close to you. Because you fear that he might rob your hard earned Credits, you decide to F1 out and log your Battleship, to kill that mean other person.
Here is the thing, that kind of idea violates quite a few rules.
The guns on your Battleship have been stolen by grumpy Junkers, while they were at it they also took your money.
Your ships have also been placed in Bastille until you explain me what the rules above mean in your own words.
If you post in this sanction and are not directly involved or a leader of the accused person's faction be advised that you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban. Blaming members of your immediate family, neighbours, friends, pets, and assorted Orcs, Trolls and any other legendary creatures may result in the use of Admin Right #CTE 750AE

Hello. I’ve already been instructed on the nature of my rule violation by same person who contacted you regarding my registration problems.
I’m sorry for F1’ing in space, re-engaging the person with my battleship without sufficient roleplay – but please, understand me as well. That person I’ve engaged been harassing our whole group for a while, pirating our miners for full cargo load 3 times in a row close to Alpha selling point. I’m a very new player here and it made me very, very angry at him, because it was literally impossible to get any fun from the game under such conditions.
There’s one thing I did not understand, though. This sanction mentioned Rules 1.3 and 3.3. I do not see where I violated them, nor the abovementioned person I asked for advice could tell why these rules were mentioned.
Hence I’m asking for screenshots regarding these violations, and will quote questions asked by that person.
Quote:Are Pirate ID’ed players that are pirating miners into oblivion now under protection of “Do not kill a trader without demand” rule? Or does flying a Kusari battle-transport with Pirate ID provides automatic protection from Outcasts hunting you, because Outcast ID was given a line about not hunting transports – but wasn’t that line meant to protect smugglers and traders, and not combat chars/pirates using (battle-)transport ship class?

Space is dangerous.
At least you prepare yourself for such by having escorts nearby. However directly switching to a ship yourself isn't cool.

It's funny that you're a new player, and that is something I believe yet, you already have access to a Cap6 Sarissa with a large cloak.
Funny how much money jump trading can make someone, but that's irrelevant.

Put it into perspective. I have you suddenly F1ing, voiding me out of my piracy encounter, and then suddenly logging onto your OC Battleship to come and kill me.

As soon as you F1'd off your transport, that ended the piracy encounter. You then logged on your OC Battleship and flew it down, which would've had no knowledge of the encounter (that's called metagaming). Furthermore, at that point in time I was classified as a tradeship as I wasn't committing piracy, or any other hostile actions. For all you know, I might have been beginning a traderoute. The Big Dragon isn't a battletransport btw.
A combat/pirate transport is never clearly defined, yes. But when I am not involved in combat or piracy and I am simply a transport that happens to have a pirate ID, I'm not being an aggressor, I'm just being docile and minding my own business.
Also, it's funny how your English has suddenly become near impeccable. Amazing what a translator can do, no?

The violation for rule 3.3 has happened when you shot at the transport without a demand. Technically you can not know that its a Pirate, if it doesnt pirate, would you have caught it while robbing another player, this would have been perfectly fine. However, when you met it in your Battleship, it was just a transport. Except for your previous encounter (on a different character! - metagaming and all that ; ) you could not really have had the knowledge that it is a pirate vessel and thus would have to assume that its just a transport, which would require a demand.
The 1.3 is not really a violation, its just meant as a reminder to have a look at your ID.
Your ship has been released, so have fun! Next time dont F1, and if you somehow get killed, just stay dead for those 2 hours it takes. Dont come back to take revenge, that usually backfires.
