Hans met ScornStar (dessie) for the first and only time in Stuttgart while he was alone on patrol. ScornStar had a bunch of lawful pilots in its hold and Hans had to talk his way into getting the pilots released. Unfortunately I ended up losing the PM that followed (had my inbox filled and deleted almost everything). The account on the state of the people inside horrified Hans and he always regrets not having tried and freed all pilots, instead of just the lawfuls.
In another day, Hans met for the first time a Harvester, also carrying a bunch of pilots. At that point he didn't relate, but the speech was similar and he reminded himself of ScornStar. When Hans finally asked the unit if it was related with ScornStar, the unit's response gave away everything. At that point Hans decided not to make the same mistake again and ordered that all pilots be freed, the unit complied, but the another bizarre account followed through a PM.
I'm trying my best to react to you based on my character's personal experiences, so I'm not reading much of your stuff, because I have enough material from the game to do so. Well, I won't elaborate much, but I bet some seen what's Hans standing on ScornStar and the Harvesters.
Anyway, it's been fun. Even though nothing was fixed, we've had some three or four small RP events already, at least that's my interpretation of this.
so far, its decent and rather low key RP. - and thats good. its not something involving half alien breeds, gods, demons and whatnot. its just about robots gone slightly mental - which is something imaginable with the AI units around in FL.
a refreshing solid approach on a non original niche in freelancer - and we ll see how it ll develope.
only strange thing i heard was that the harvesters actually farmed BHGs. i hope it was only done for faction reasons - cause, i don t think the BHGs can need yet another hostile-by-default faction ( as they allready have most of sirius hostlile to them )
The harvesters see BHG as chaotic scattered parts good for nothing but aviodance or harvest(RP) We have to kill tons of BHG to do our mission to get our rep right. The rep has been challengeing to maintain. So we are now trying to move to Junker Guard Reps to have a stable rep that wont go down when we go after our primary enemies. The Zoners.
Speaking of rep we now have Rhineland, Liberty, and Britonia hostile to us now and many of the pirate factions as well. This is FINE and a result of our RP. It does place us in alot of PVP lately, even though that is not our primary goal.
We are acualy trying to solidify our new recruits and then after that I have 1 more I'm considering to set up bringing our member ship to 11 from the 5 we had before the event with the Zoners.
The people that have been selected have no sanction histories and have strong senses of team work or, long experience aboard this server and no sanctions I can find so, I'm happy with all my members as they all have something to contribute to the machine.
Because of the people I have and the political climate we are endureing and, not wanting to nerf our RP and display things we don't have like fear and flexiblity, I have started petitioning for a terrorist ID. This is so we may hunt the Zoner properly and act logically. We will not be useing it as a license to attack everyone. In fact most of our battle involve us returning fire or attacking someone added to the target list for destroying a Harvester on a mission(RP or NPC).
Right now we use the Zoner Juggernaught as our battleship. We'd like to change it to signafy that we are evolveing. Any suggestions on a none house aligned battleship we could use. I was thinking either a Spyglass or a Phantom battle ship but, I'd like to read their info cards first not the stats but the stories to them. I'd like suggestion if anyone can think of a driod looking ship.
I love the oldstyle standard role playing and in my opion a "robot" shouldnt be flying a space ship in the first place. Besides that their targets arent really to my liking, people become zoners to be targeted less or preferably NOT and to be able to trade with most other factions around.
Besides that they make it harder for the corsairs to survive(roleplay) because of the fact that they are friendly with them. Having a few harvester units outside of Crete is not good for the zoners that should be coming in bringing food to the planet. Their stance towards some factions contradicts the other and as such make it unable to be realistic.
Now this is my opinion, dont start flaming, be nice to eachother and let me go back to my cave.

"I'm" not gonna flame ya, but Mama Dis, Sophie, Shamus, Merci Beau Coup, F-23 Kitty, Samantha, and a number of other ex-Fnordettes are a bit miffed at your "AI-phobia".
The Fnordettes have been flying their own ships as sentient AI's ever since Eris decreed to Mal that they should be emancipated, and made equal with their former primate "owners".
Some folk in Sirius may not know that they're actually conversing with a 23cm titanium "transponder", but quite a few do.
That said, F-23 Shamus joined up with primate TAZ Riley McKenzie tonight in Sig 17 and spanked a Harvey!
A good time was had by all, robots, AIs, and domesticated primates alike.
Well slavik our politics are contrived as all politics are but, if you look at the Zoners. Are they not friends with mortal enemies like the Corsairs and Outcast? If they can do it, is it so far fetch to think that another faction may take s similar stance toward them. IE: if the Corsair are to befriend us they would be no different then the Zoners who befriend the Outcast and Corsairs, only to turn their back when their friends start killing each other. Zoner neutrality does not equal "everyone will die for you".
For folk that want to get on this server and trade and be left alone then I'm sorry, play single player. This is a community and you are playing with everyone here. It cannot be expected that everyone just forget thier RP, around said individual. Their is alot of politics that are happening that aren't going to be put aside for someone who just wants to play the single player game and chat on occation.
That being said if I go after a Zoner and, I have never seen them before, and they just say hi after I say all my crazy stuff. I then go to private comms and ask "have you heard of the Harvesters?" If they say "no" then I say "ok, check on the forums for the full scoop. Toward the end of the council of Zoners is a good place to start." I also say, "In short we are at war and will attack you the next time we see you but, this time I'll pretend I didnt see you."
I do this because I am trying to involve more players and invite new folk into it. If I was trying to rack up the kill counter I'd just "proceed with harvest". People should not be getting into faction or buying IDs for convienence but, for their story and no one, like real life is immune to enemies. Some are unreasonable. Now if folk dont want the unknown or active dynamic politics then play SP. you can get it Disco moded too so, you can fly what ever ship you want and go where you want, with nothing but NPCs to worry about.
Thats my two cents, I hope it doesn't seem flame filled, I just have a very solid stance on those last statments.
a juggernaut makes sense - in a way, since the harvesters originate from zonerstuff. - mind, its bulky and if the harversters are rather nomadic - its of little use, i daresay ( its more a defense platform than a mobile check-mate-move )
if the harversters are more AI units than robots ( in terms of clockworks ) - they could assimilate other - rather high tech ships, like the liberty dreadnaught or the outcast battleship / dreadnaught. but thats hard to do, since they have a problem with the outcasts from what i hear. anyway, something smaller in the battleship class, - possibly an osiris... something that relies heavily on AI / computers.
the repair ship for junkers i will submit would make a certain sense for them, if they stay affiliated to the junkers in a way, but the shape and look doens t really fit in. ( its too junkerish, rusty, worn out ) - and rather a utility ship than a warship, even if it gets the suggested 4-6 cruiser turrets.
about the harvesters being kos to so many - i think its a bit sad imo, they should rather be neutral / looked upon doubiously and not outright hostile ( just like junkers )
about a terrorist ID.... i m not sure about that. i d rather suggest a faction ID similar to the novaPG. from what i know they are not true terrorists, but are "more" terrorists than the average pirate. - but the own ID will prolly only be "awarded" when the RP and faction is well established.
To just quickly jump in here, I'd like to say that I have had many wonderful RP opportunities with the harvesters, You guys are bringing a certain spin to the omegas (where I usually see harveys) and I enjoy it alot.

Good points. I don't really want to be labeled terrorist. It would be awesome to get our own ID but I thought that impossible and probally is. However we are about to send official faction request in I just am trying to get some Admin opinions on some of it first.
The points I'm trying to get opinions on are that. I dont want to reviel our whole back story in the request as, the back story is part of the reward you get for investigateing us. Next I dont want to reviel our members because I think it lends to more realistic responce from my other Harvesters when they encounter a player I know is a Harvester but playing some one else. I want our faction to be metagameing proof or resisitant. So, while I have no problem giveing this information to admin I dont want to make it public.
Plus it is fun watching people try various experiments to see if they can manipulate a Harvester here and there. Some with logic some with reasources and some with Zoner pilots (evil). If I revieled all then the Harvesters would lose alot of what I think makes them interesting. The combination of being new, unkown, interactive, and driven by an inhuman intelligence. We are vary different than other factions in our ranks are not done like anyone elses, our goals are different, our motivators are different, and if I had to wager we share reasources and task differently too.
I'm just afraid of posting the faction and not haveing the back story for all to see will get me shot down or our members who I think better unknown. Now they can be known if they want but I let them out them selves. i maintain my partners privacy.
