Well, I have one qualm. What about the "No Drugs, no problem" policy spoken about in the Hogosha base? I can understand Counterfeit Software, but, those little trinkets the Corsairs sell don't hurt anyone. In fact, if you'd believe me, I'd tell you they saved the universe once!

Took a look at LPI, who I admire greatly, and set a limit for recruits to fly the Drake until they are accepted.
(will not be the case for the 'original' recruits)
Also I wonder - what is the best shield buster that could be used on the Wyrm? Trains have pretty tough shields, no? (Paralyzers, I thought at first, but they are level 10?)

_that_ scares me, and makes me all the more determined to keep the option to have Chim/bomber/gunboat show up. Otherwise, it seems the smugglers can gosh darn well just ignore the police.

2x Adv. Debilitators
and
2x Desinfectors 3 or Sunfrenzys
Because normal lvl 9 guns do much more damage than lvl 8. but Adv. Debilitators do just 120 less shield damage thand Imp. ones (628 vs 500) but are much more energy effective.
BUT
Taking 100k shield alone will be difficult. If you are two it's no problem.

about Transport turrets.. you need to dodge.. and fire from your maximum gun range. And dodging in Wyrm is no problem at all. Also get nuclear mines (arrange a shipment from zoners). And learn to use them against transports without blowing yourself up.

Dodging transport turrets fired asynchronously can be quite tough (1400 m range, 1400m/s for level... three?) and as you say, forces one to fire at max range, in short bursts. I hope you are right in that two Wyrm can take the shield down no problems, but not really convinced.
Nuclear mines on lf are extremely cool and already on the shopping list, but you have to get at least semi-close and survive. And I know _my_ pirate train has never gone down to any fighter.

True enough - as TAZ, it's mostly the clueless that bother me. Or, in some cases, amuse me.
....aaanyway. One more recruit at least. Come on. Last time to go straight to a Wyrm. I have enough cash to be able to bankroll the first round of recruits with a basic outfit, too.
