Iam an Junker working in Texas, and because of more and more friends helping me filling the cargo of the Salvager Frigate I thinked about an cargo Ship. Junkers are only allowed to fly Cargo ships up to 4.300 Cargo units, so the Pirate train would be Ideal. Is it true that its Illigal in Texas (Liberty) and Police will stop you just because you fly this thing? And what do YOU think about the ship?
It's legal in Rheinland and legal in Bretonia under the Junker ID however. And if you're a Junker, you don't really need to care about what Kusari thinks of you when you're flying a Ptrain in Kusari house space.
About the ship itself? I think it's pretty great. It's got good arcs and is nicely sized. It's good at defending itself.
Aktually I thaught on creating an new char (also Junker-ID) wich I can bring out to haul, if iam farming with more than 1 guy in a salvager. You know what happens if
police catches you in Texas flying with thing to the Mining Positions? Also I could buy an Luxury Liner with also 4.300 Cargo Space. It cost 100Million more but I have the
credits...
Yep a salvager Iam using right now... I just need a big cargo for my fleet Events Iam hosting with an friend... Often we have 4 salvagers, and only one cargo ship with more space in it.
I ditched mine for the Serenity. I run supplies from O3/O7/O11 to NY, and while no one bothered me in the train, I didn't think it was RP for a Freelancer who has Manhattan landing rights to fly one. Obviously I CAN fly the Train, I just chose not to.
Now I fly the Serenity and no one bothers me. A little less cargo (like 700 or so) of course but to me the RP tradeoff is worth it.
As far as handling and all that, the Train was fine, handled about as well as other transports in my view
