it might still be in the folder it could possibly be that when your virus checker picked up on it, it just made it unusable

add your disco folder to the "allowed" or "non scanned" option whatever your virus check uses
then try the restore dsace option, if that dont work, then delete the dsace and then ask launcher to restore it

if that dont work you might need to reinstall disco

I got trouble to report as well , i have played game fine for 40 or so days , but today when i start launcher first i notice that it uploads new patch , then couple seconds later when finished my ESET NOD32 terminate connection an report problem . I tried couple of more times , with same result , this is ESET log from latest try :
4/30/2015 7:45:20 PM http://www.discoverygc.com/patch/EXE_4803.zip a variant of Win32/Packed.EnigmaProtector.J application connection terminated - quarantined Threat was detected upon access to web by the application: D:\Games\novije pc igre\Freelancer\discovery\Discovery Freelancer 4.88.1\DSLauncher.exe.
I have more than 500 games on this PC and i download things all the time , my ESET never lights up for false positives like some free Anti-virus programs do , so i dont want to risk by disabling ESET before i consults with admin of this game , and if it is false positive , why it dint ESET report is before ?
I hope you can do something for me , my miner is lonely without me !

well cant get it to work gave exeptions to all folders and data even the DSAce.dll but noting will do . guess i have at least wait for the next fix to try it -.-

Are you just geesing or you actually had similar situation and with this new patch so you can confirm it is safe ?
It is not exactly that i doubt you , but i would prefer administrator or moderator to confirm it is safe before i do that !

Well, in past there were issues with other files. Excepting folder helped. Though I don't know, what is your problem exactly. Better create new topic here. Also, you may try to directly contact admins here.

As i already told , trouble is not in freelancer discovery folder , game had rune fine until now , trouble is in new patch that auto try to download when i try to run game launcher , then ESET block patch ,prevent game from launching , and shut-down launcher with alert message , and i don't see option to prevent patch from auto download .
Anyway , i will do as you suggested and try in chat first , then admins , thanks for all .

Problem solved , admin confirm it is false positive , i make exception in anti virus and it is OK now , thanks for help !

Launcher won't start the game in windowed mode. It always starts full screen regardless the option check.

It seems that I am not the only one with this problem then. I reported this a few weeks ago, and I still ahve this problem on both my desktop and laptop PC.

Alley, is there a config file or something for the launcher that might cause the problem? Like it became write protected or it does not change the parameter, so it might needed to be edited manually?

It looks like the windowed mode button got borked at some point, I'll look into it.
