something about revolutionary factions

so the problem i have is that all of the revolutionary factions in discovery (okay not all, but most of them) is that they are so very same-y in terms of their political views

so let's work our way from the bottom:

on the south of sirius we have scra - commies = left-wing
in bretonia we have mollys and gaians. gaians are ecoterrorists = left wing. mollys are separatist so it could go both ways - unfortunately you picked wrong = left-wing
in rheinland we have hessians who are angry miners workers that are buddy with scra = commies = left-wing. unioners are angry factory workers = left-wing. lwb are angry farmers = left-wing, and bundshush even in their description say left-wing

so right now the tally of left-wing to right-wing factions is 7 to 0.

let's go higher. here we encounter the first glimmer of hope - in liberty we have xenos who are a nationalist (finally!) revolutionary faction. unfortunately again - angry factory workers. it's hard to say what exactly it aims to become (i didn't read much of the xeno lore apart from the wiki page, you'll excuse me for having other things to do, especially that it is mostly walls of text about history rather than goals). so xenos can go both ways - national socialism or fascism. national socialism is left-wing = bad, fascism is technically right-wing.

i'm not even going to bother with hellfire because that faction doesn't make sense, however i read up like two sentences in this commonwealth thing laws and it said welfare there so i'm gonna assume left-wing.

further up we have gallia. council could be technically centric (leaning towards the left tho, because wants to make democracy), and since it's not further right than an absolute monarchy we're gonna call it left-wing. maquis are basically council 2 electric boogaloo that are a bit more bloodthirsty and don't have a good zoi or gunboats.

and then we reach kusari. and DINK. because all right-wing revolutionary factions are, in fact, in kusari. apart from farmers (left-wing) and gc (feminazis = liberal = left-wing). But then we reach the true goal of our journey: two warring revolutionary right-wing factions: the Exiles and the Blood Dragons. Both of them with a royalist-dictatorship, conservative agenda (Emperor vs Shogun, basically the same thing).

(char if you expected me to say here that 343 is a good faction, you're wrong)

so now what is my problem you ask

we have 12 left-wing revolutionary factions versus two right wing.

and there are so many options, right. you could have ancaps, religious terrorists (and you can do that without sparking references to islam, btw, use imagination plox), some conservatives longing for a period long ago lost or WHATEVER.

JUST STOP WITH THE DAMN SOCIALISTS.

I don't know, but I believed that FA are right-wing radicals.

Gaians and Unioners cannot be left-wing too much because dealing with corsairs. And recently only active unioner faction is Imperial Rebels, who are seems too be quite right-winged guys.

GC are doing more things about matriarchy than just pure femenism, at least I didn't noticed much left-wingish stuff in \W/~ or ~*~ rp. Yes we are talking about corruption of corporations and bla-bla, but from traditionalist point of view. Both factions want to install Imperial rule (with the empress sure thing), so kinda left/10. I can't say that GC are going full right wing in the same time, sometimes it's more like Xeno-like stuff, sometimes it not (because we dealing with quite a bit of foreign factions which is impossible with Xeno). And GC are tied with the outcasts, which means slave trade and other things that cannot be tolerated by left-wing faction in either way.

Perhaps you mean "that's National Socialism (a.k.a. Nazis) if you ever saw one". but then again, national socialists favour a strong state at the centre, not a strong a strong monarchy like institution.

Perhaps the Farmers Alliance are fine with either situations, as long as it's clear who is at the top (the emperor) of the society, and who is out of it (Gaijin).

Can you please explain to me how eco terrorism equates to left wing? Just because that's (and this is still a generalization) the way things work on earth, circa 2016 A.D, doesn't mean a damn thing generally speaking. Protecting the environment is something that can (and frankly should) be completely separate from politics.

No real discrimination or racism. And in freelancer that is easy to do without making it look like real hate. A filthy libertonian cannot be confused for an insult against the player.
