You are distracting from the actual flow of the story. And that's totally unnecessary in terms of gameplay. And that's what I feedbacked and asked why this is necessary if you could also just be the "real" opposing force, as at least quite a good portion of you also have GRNs, so you could participate in the event "as it was planned out".
Have you ever considered that there are people that don't care about the pre-scripted event? Not all OC are in GRN, and I ask you to stop to tell people when and what they shall log. Claiming that the siege is going to interrupt the event is exaggerated, as first of all the flight from T-44 to Coronado is less than half an hour while the siege itself will be taking hours, as I doubt the OC forces get the same amount of DPS like the RHA forces.

You are wrong there. Today it had a massive impact on participation in the event, and I would know, as I had to fix the base after some weird plugin screwup again. So yes, it has a large impact on CR side and keeps them from participating, which again keeps Taus from being active with event flights. All confrontation today I witnessed was OC in Coronado.
And at the moment, the action should be in Taus. And OC can have their part there, too, of course.
Don't you see the potential for OC in active Taus?
I find it hard to understand why you have to host a "parallel" party, if the number of participants is as limited as in Disco.
You can do the siege a few days later, and have people actually focus there, participate, and have fun... without distracting from an event and making it worse.

Because there are people that don't care about Gallia-related stuff.

Again, people can decide themselves where to log, what to log and for what to log. I personally can't be arsed to partake in pre-scripted events, which is why I kept my distance from weird Zoner-Power Rangers-stunt against Core as well. The siege however is dynamic, not pre-scripted, and I can't wait to see what the Crayterian playerbase can get mobile in order to defend Minerva. It's not scripted, the results are open and maybe it happens that the first attempt will fail. That's way more exciting than the alternative offer, to be honest.

How many people do you need to fix a plugin-issue? How many hours do you need them to be there? The only thing I can agree with is that, surprise, Minerva needed to be prepared for the siege. That's however done in one day, and the current event will be around for a while.
@"Sanja" Never viewed it from that angle. Makes sense.
Actually, this is epic. The CR/Council mount a very unexpected counteroffensive, catch their enemy sleeping, blitzkrieg forward, but are stopped by an unexpected attack at their own rear, caused by the Outcasts' greed. And thus a human flaw saves the antagonist, Gallia. There's some drama here for sure. Well, it's Disco after all.

14.49% CR/C vs 2.54% GRN.
I think the numbers speak for themselves, Henderson. Also the event will last 4 days so there will be plenty of time to finish it while GRN's side struggles to get to 10%.
Oh ppl cmon: Siege with all same ppl over and over... ok
The trade event? gone for GNR already, sorry
Thanks anyway for the fun, both systems, and this attack and Sanja explanation of motive (secure trade/smuggle route trough OUR home system) makes me and some other ppl on CR speed and reinforce security measures in Coronado. Till now, was free to go, but from now on...
Thanks for the heads up

The Royal Navy is full of pride and wouldn't expect something they believed to have been mostly wiped out to mount a counter-attack. They'd be able to fight, but it's obvious that the end goal of the event is them losing, which means that they aren't entirely prepared for their conquered territory to be hit so hard.
This "they don't expect it" thing could even hold some merit if half of the system wouldn't be under Council/CR control for over a year now. I guess perhaps that's why the first half of reconquista was so easy. It's different this time though.
I think I am gonna have to drizzle a bit of rain here, but it should be reminded to everyone that the outcome of this event was already decided on by the development team and the factions involved. These events are mostly for activity boosting and something for players to do.

Oh, the hypocrisy. You're forgetting that this CR event started in the middle of an ongoing one in Delta and it will last for 2 weeks total compared to the few hours of a base siege. You didn't have any complaints then about "Taus killing Delta activity" and "parallel parties". How you have the audacity to cry about something as minor as a base siege compared to that (which still shouldn't have happened, this event should've been postponed until the Delta one finished) is beyond me. The story progression is pre determined anyways and this event only serves for people to log their factions and get activity.
As for this:

I can only point you to the scoreboard which says CR delivered nearly a third of their supplies in half a day. So much for "massive impact on pariticipation". Seriously, stop complaining and nitpicking about every single thing you can possibly find, let people log what they want and play what they want, and stop overexaggerating things and creating unnecessary drama.
