Effective immediately, the server rules 4.1 and 4.3 have been changed due to a long string of issues due to their previous wording and actual ingame applications.
The rules referred to now read as such:
Rules Wrote:[*]Discovery Freelancer 24/7 RP enforced rules:
4.1 If you die whilst in a PVP situation, in any form, you are considered as ''PVP Dead''. A PVP Dead player must:
Leave the system the fight took place in for two hours. You must not carry cargo while doing so and must not engage in any player interaction while you are leaving. Other players must allow a PVP Dead player to leave the system.
Not re-enter the system they died in on any of their characters for two hours.
Not attack the player/players they died to on any of their server characters for two hours.
[...]
4.3 Docking during combat with hostiles in docking message range (15k) counts as PvP Death.
Apart from the PVP-Death rule being elaboarated on, the biggest change to this rule is the removal of being able to return to the system if the opposing party log off. This change has been voted on due to an increasing amount of reports and drama between players who physically cannot tell whether or not everyone who participated in a fight logged off or not.
We have decided that for the sake of ease-of-mind, the line is removed.
Players are still allowed to tell the PVP-Dead player that they may remain in the system, but all players present must be informed about this.
4.3 Has been changed in a similar manner and now refers to all players, including transports. As transports and freighters become more and more PVP capable, we feel as though traders cannot be exempt from this rule anymore. The added bonus to this change is the removal of two more exceptions that make the original set of rules so full of asterisks.

That means if you quickdocked in a pvp interaction you will have to lose all your cargo and leave the system? Some commodities are expensivr y'know...
Nobody is forcing you to sell the cargo. You can simply log off and wait 2 hours before getting back to trading.
The rule seems a bit unfair for the traders. Almost all supertransports have only one gun slot, and that's not PvP capable. And in this way we may see ONLY container transports around...sad.
Or not get engaged in the first place.
And yes, it is almost as if there is a downside to flying the largest transports in the game.

Finally! We got rid of that trader sheltering rule, which always left lawful authorities and unlawful raiders in huge disadvantage. Way to go, Spazzy! Way to go!
This little bird went to sleep forever. So long.
Thank you for everything.
