Then any other stuff can go in.
Well, that's the issue. Most traders go through Kusari, because in 99% they are assured no one will pirate them in Kusari, cause Kusari is dead - and last time I saw ANY Kusari Unlawful was like two months ago. But then I had been trying to pirate in such places, I had enough listening to traders who whined because pirate wanted to ask for their precious credits - but then some pirates are dull a-holes as well, let's not go one-sidedly. Yet still there are traders outright refusing to RP even a single line, then whining via PM that "you stoopit pirate cus your bully".
Also, my advice to shooty-shooty members: RP isn't PVP only. Be more creative than these two messages and right click shjote.

they're too busy cybering outside manhattan
That's because most of the playerbase want to use capital ships, while scenarios of corporate warfare in Sigmas and entire Civil War is fought using small ships and shorter degree of arms. I already pointed out, in other thread, that war between Samura-GMG over Sigmas alone is basically snub-gunboat-transport campaign of sudden strikes onto both sides' convoys, guerilla warfare and surgical assaults to pinpoint foe behind his lines...
But it does seem like idea of non-cap combat is waste of time, at least according to the community. "But muh capz..."

Toris, if your unaware how BD pirate, we don't target anyone other then Samura and Kishiro, we don't take pride int stealing cargo, thats usually left up to JM or GC to do that much. On the topic of caps, BD is focused on a planetary take over in Nagano, and has 2 battleships out there, one is the NPC BS and the other is the player one. Any and all other caps are thrown in from either KNF or BD when we need them.
For BD, is not the fact we won't use snubs, but its the simple fact we really don't target anyone beyond Samura, their BD|s prime enemy, and you can't really do that either when Samura| itself went and seems to have completely died off. The only reason we tend to bring out our caps so often, is we usually expect KNF Caps to counter, which they usually do.

Weird. You didn't see any unlawfuls for months? I can't follow you at all. It's just that piracy became utter useless with mostly silent traders or, sorry to say this, newbie traders. (Some of them go along with RP, appreciated. Just GC piracy is not some random meanie who pirates people, it is actually a bit RP heavy piracy.) People tend to not accept this because it costs them 5 minutes of their powertrade time and just sent money immediatly, this kills off the fun. Nobody really pirates for the money but for the interaction.
Also GC isn't as free with piracy like LR for example: We leave Brets alone, IC, GMG (IC and GMG make a huge part of the traders in Kusari btw), and some of the official FL factions too. We still do it, despite it becoming more and more boring as you either have KNF immediatly logging in to hunt you down (I don't judge them for this) or the average traders doing one of those three points:
1. Send money immediatly once you made clear its piracy
2. Avoid the interaction straight away
3. Firing immediatly
Also you point out at the civil war. If people still didn't get the notice, the civil war is not going on for much longer anymore. It comes to an end.
