Start restricting or harassing (not necessarily with guns) Rheinland traffic. Get seen with Rheinland unlawfuls and/or caught transporting their stuff. Begin employing unlawful mercs with known reputations to patrol Sigmas. Act defensive and uncooperative with investigators etc... I used to love using every bit of shady RP I could get my hands on for the purpose of making Kusari bring out the war machine. Huge house military parades through border world's invariably draws the attention of the Hispanic fleets. Epic results... Good times.
Make GMG great again.
Give them a whack, buffed ID with everything up to battleships with CR-grade potential. GMG should be the CR of the Sigmas ans should have an ID that is as just as good as the CR indie ID. Do that, and the war works.
They already InRP have salvaged Rhein ships and they even have GMG cap turrets actually in the game files.
Tanith is some what correct, GMG is/ should be somewhat similar to CR when spoken about such as a mini house. GMG literally runs the Sigma's and have a fair amount of enemies as well as allies, but not only that GMG has the capability of builind GMG GB, Cruiser and Battleship weapons but can only build GMG GB's because there has not been a model for a GMG Cruiser or Battleship made, to be honest having the GMG ID adjusted to allow Corvo's and Cruisers/Destroyers should be allowed and either Rheinland Gunboats and Donau's or Kusari Gunboats and Destroyers.
I've already voiced my dis-taste for the Wilde style instigation in the skype chats so i'll skip that part.
As someone whos been looking into this as an agency point of view, as much as i wanted the conflict. There's just too many flaws and holes within this attack for it to be taken as a full scale mobilization and legitimately staged attack from the GMG, adding to the fact that if we retaliate, i fear that it might cause an unjustly response from our close ties and a bad PR move for us. We're currently coming up with a method to instigate what might be "breaking point tensions" between all the GMG and Rheinland, but most of my efforts are in the attempt to ensure that Rheinland's PR (Public relations) aren't shafted down the drain in the result of a excessive retaliation that isn't supported by concrete evidence of the Wilde attack which might be later uncovered in the middle of a conflict.
But it doesn't feel like a proper scale of war, theres just too many GMG forces that I feel are not even supporting this conflict which has resulted in me inRP questioning the legitimacy of the attack. To me it seems way too strange to see something like mere fraction of the GMG to be attacking us while the rest are not supporting nor even being involved with the assaulting forces.
We loosely decide on a progression that will happen. The devs then work to making it happen. It takes a while, so whilst we can argue over how the exact RP will play out between ourselves, we need to come to a consensus as to what -will- happen, now, so the Devs can make something happen in the end, as updates take months.
Not change our minds at every thing we think is "dumb" or "stupid". Stop insulting the devs because they have to listen to all of us and come up with an aggregate reaction.
@sindroms should have never asked for people to weigh in on this.
I noticed in the comms channel a GMG group declaring our Aomori Treaty is still binding pointing out that it was only discarded by the old and now defunct regime led by Jien Kogen and not by anyone else. Kudos for reenacting that. An important piece of agreement and guideline to protecting GMG sovereignty. Use it, by force if necessary.
Hilarious, though, took us forever to get the Kusari gang to actually agree to our sovereignty. Lol......... then I trigger the Kurile Krisis just when Kusari relaxed. Brought a tear of joy from my eye when I read the Kusari govt still listing Kurile and Aomori as points of contention between Kusari and GMG.
Sadly I couldn't remake a GMG faction in time for all this current events. I've been busy rebuilding my life from scratch after leaving the Island 2 yrs ago. A few stubborn pieces left to fit in place. Otherwise, yes, I'll probably come back. I noticed Spazzy''s Returning Vets Program. A nice first step towards remaking the billions in ships I lost.

I still have to say, from a Kusari pov, the Aomori Treaty is still quite dead, and has been trying to negotiate a new one for a while. GMG groups either resorted to that line (Aomori is still valid), and other just pressed the ignore button. So far.

Funny how people complain about lack of community involvement then complain about community involvement.
It should be official faction leader involvement wherin the OFLs come to a consensus to ensure OFL RP gets into the mod, and then the consensus is delivered.
Community involvement in events and ballance? Absolutely.
Remember that thread about "What would you do if you were the lead dev"?
Someone made such a good point in it how no one on discovery can seem to agree what is good or bad. Doing one thing will make one person happy two others angry - cause internet.
The same rule applies here. What you say is good for one thing, another will disagree.
@"WPeregrine", I think Kusari wouldn't just ignore the fact that GMG struck at one of their allies' stations. GMG laws from the Aomori and Sigma-19 Gate would be on hold and Kusari Republic's law would be imposed temporarly. Posers or not, someone still used GMG tech. And we aren't just speaking about just some Kamome, but the newest GMG fighters that no one but GMG flies.
Any house ships trying to impose house law and order in Sigma is a direct act of war and I've always ordered them shot to pieces and the scrap sent to their respective capitals. Kusari would have no choice but to either accept our terms of sovereignty or conquer through war. No in between.
