Because while you would use old tag, you wouldn't be the same old faction and should not receive benefits of old faction.
Never fear, Evo is here~

FYI: Difference this time around is getting back to our core. No more corsair hugs, which was an attempt to cater to the small playerbase we had getting sick of getting stomped. Going back to the good core of "if you're not dying, you're not trying." If that means we don't have enough to be official, so be it. trying to hold onto that piece of paper was the problem in the first place.

If the only thing a faction is about is being official, it shouldn't be. Great attitude.
Hope to see more XAxaxaxaxaxaxaxa
THE SYNDIC LEAGUES
(A co-operative of Rheinland's Shipping Unions, retired from a life of piracy.)
That's literally the Torpedos right now, just saying. If Xenos follow the example though, not a bad idea.
The quick chat I had with one of the Xenos today wasn't bad either though. Not sure if the "we hate your guts less than GRN" was honest or it was just the navy officer making one of you let me go. Either way, kudos, keep it up.

A little bit of both of those. We let IMG do the trade you were doing and my character was prone to letting it slide since it would hurt GRN more than us.
And I guess, just less double nova suicide ramming. I gots fond memories of waran dodging practice in NY.

Bring back the Xeno Alliance.
I plan on it. Returning to the time before we had an inside split following the Benitez diplomacy missions.
I'm kind of regretting turning my Universal Bison into a Junker Bison, now. *Gulp.*
On another note, it would be kind of neat to see the Xeno Alliance stake an interest in protecting the rookie helium miners in Pennsylvania. You know, protect the budding working class of Liberty? (Or, are they technically Zoner-Miners? Huh..)
I'd also love to see the Xeno ID get a line that allows them to ally with one or more of the Liberty Corporations against other unlawfuls. Heck, maybe they could be allowed to accept bounty contracts against unlawfuls to fund their operations. It kinda stinks not being able to pirate for credits, but that's part of the challenge of playing a Xeno - you have to pirate for cargo and then abandon your post to haul the goods off to the nearest Xeno establishment.
It would also be lovely to see a few Bactrians or even Bull Mastiffs flying around with support bombers and sparing targeted transporters' lives if the target complies with a cargo demand on the first go. Maybe not demand all of their cargo, if your capacity dwarfs theirs, but certainly half, or even 2/3 depending on the cargo type. Look at things from a player perspective: It sure is handy and more encouraging to keep trading if an unlawful allows you to at least break even, after a trade run. Bringing the Xenos back is a tricky proposition; you want to live up to the hype that Xenos are dangerous and will eat you alive if one catches you, but you also don't want to drive people into never wanting to log their foreign transports again (or even logging into the game period, since what's the point if the person gets killed every time?).
I remember back in my time during the Xeno Alliance (I was the original Pygmy; Sam Willis), I flew a Moldy Crow with a Starkiller Torpedo and Firestalker Missile. I usually would demand a foreign trader to drop all of their cargo, and shoot if they refused. The balance of course, was that about 50% of the time, I was flying solo. All the transport had to do was cruise, and they were safe. For me, that was the balance. If they were paying attention, they'd easily see I had no tool to stop my target if they chose to run. Even back then, when I was age 14-15, that seemed a fair balance. Nowadays, I would probably only ask for a third of the target's cargo if I'm in a fighter, or a fill up if I'm in a Bactrian or Pelican.
I'm rambling at this point, sorry. Anyways, I wish you guys the best of luck and hope that an encounter as a non-Liberty Corp transport won't necessarily mean certain death!
P.S. Accepting bribes would be super-neat if the victim offers them. =)

I try not to hang around in Pennsylvania because most of the time newer players see red and engagabungugn right away. I don't like blowing up newer players when I don't have to; I've certainly gone to Penny in the past to deal with pirates and such though.
On the topic of non-Liberty transports.. If you're a generic id'd from Liberty, you're fine. Otherwise without extenuating circumstances you're generally toast as it should be hehe.
Bribes are an iffy subject though. We attack pirates for extortion for personal gain and aren't allowed to ask for credits, don't know how it would go rules-wise if we accepted bribes and whether or not it would be viewed as pirating credits. I don't look down on indie Xenos if they do that, we've never really done that in my time though just because A) most RP chars people make are extremists that don't want your money and B) it's a very thin line in the rules and the last thing we want is it worded improperly resulting in one of our members getting a sanction.
For bounties, I can definitely look into getting us on the USI board low key. Technically we're not engaging targets for a bounty so I don't think there's an issue with that.
