Don't mind it, the only downside is clogging New Haven's list by adding more and more stuff which makes it a pain to search for things. A secondary station would solve the issue.
I'd be for this. Add them to Orange Station instead of New Haven?
But I'd totally love the FLHook command Vulk and Remnant mentioned even more. I live in a less popular time zone and it took me close to two weeks before anyone was available/awake when I was to set up a trade and get me a factional ID. Being able to set up a new faction ship without outside assistance would be wonderful!

/buy FactionID (password) [Number of ID's]
Then it would simply kick you from the server and add to your hold X ID's and deduct Y Credits
I think we're just going to implement an additional restriction mechanism that allows certain items to be bought only if you have a certain (password-protected) tag. That way most factions can sell their IDs to members without the character needing an existing faction ID.
I strongly agree. Unioners, for example, has our restart in Frankfurt, but you have to fly to Bering for the ID. Changing the restart or the ID position would create problems as Frankfurt works well for indie restarts and Bering well for ID provision.
Unfortunately it means setting up Unioner OFL ships requires half an hour.
