Are you seriously going to compare pvp balance to pobs, are you seriously going to compare a mechanic that enables players to be not only more confident in their abilities (which in turn gives them more confidence to fly and RP) but also allows them to excel at an aspect of the game that so few resort to now-a-days. Comparing a game mechanic that's exploited for selfish profit and than called "our entire RP background" when it faces destruction is nothing short of childish. Wesker's issue can be considered less serious than some players who are getting fps nuked to sub 30/ completely unplayable levels. The problem still remains regardless of how serious (or not) some individual cases are.
If you think that fps doesn't matter in snubs, you obviously haven't tried to seriously fight actual aces. Honestly, if any of you don't think this issue is serious, I'm not sure why you're here wasting your time and our time posting about something you clearly don't care about. Implying we are being counter-productive when you people are derailing this thread is hilarious. If you have other issues, go campaign for them in your own threads, but don't come here saying all this is unimportant because at the end of the day, you'd have got nothing done about the issues you care about and you flood this thread full of irrelevant nonsense. This is not flood, btw.
Again, all these opinions on how important fps is, is irrelevant. Saying that dev team is wasting their time trying to fix an issue is ridiculous. There is obviously a problem, and kudos to hook devs for looking into this and hopefully we get a fix soon.

“It doesn’t affect me so it’s not a problem” mentality needs to go away. This is a problem and a serious one regardless of your intentions ingame. Even typing pure text and communicating is hard on 10 fps which is something i experienced from this cap.
There is clearly a problem with it that did not manifest immediately. That is what confuses me the most, but it's something that the hook team is aware of and is looking into. There's not much else I can definitively say. Sorry.

It may well be coincidences of circumstances regarding each individual's computers, unrelated to the change. Some of the symptoms I've read I have had, such as plummeting FPS, can be caused by a download or power unplugged on a laptop etc.

Clearly not if it persists through a PC restart in Giorgi's case and never goes away.

I have had someone replicate this for me and I have observed the conditions, and it's definitely a problem.
