Well, this is an interesting one.
Commission Agent Shiranui, Fleet Lieutenant Sydney Hunter, and I were performing patrol exercises in Vic-, erm, Tau-44 this evening when we encountered two Auxesia ships including one piloted by Keeper Revenant, and a third unaffiliated ship piloted by a different old friend, Samuel Locklear. Three people we haven't talked with in some time. We discussed many things, including what we've missed in the past few years. And then we took a trip down to Inverness to visit their home in return.
Shiranui and I are currently guests aboard the residential quarters of their station. We haven't seen much of the rest of the inside, but judging from the exterior of the installation they seem to have facilities for capital ship maintenance, possibly construction. They also let slip that they're producing high quality clones of various bits of AP Manufacturing equipment. I can't imagine the Core is particularly pleased about that. Compound that with their multiple instances of... acquisition of multiple House and Edge Worlds battleships, and the "understanding" they have with Rheinland, and we may be able to get some work done on rebuilding the Huginn sooner than I think any of us had hoped.
Hunter's ship was unfortunately flagging to some hostile entities as Crayter Military, so she's on her way back to Tau-44 to get that sorted out. Regrettably, she will have to do it in a shuttle. And Aquila will be rebuilding another Rook.
I'm afraid I didn't get much in the way of unclassified footage. Or much in the way of footage at all. Communications logs will be distributed to the people who need to see them.'

Good day, old chaps!
I'd like to begin by thanking you for taking in myself and my family. We owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid.
For our contribution to our new home, the crew of the Aluminum Falcon has decided to remain together and continue doing what we do best. Our first trade run under the NO banner started off at Minato Harbor, where we acquired a load of Niobium at rather generous prices. Using my trade contacts from a long career at Bowex, I managed to secure a buyer on Manhattan. We proceeded south through Kusari space and arrived safely at Manhattan, where we completed the delivery.
From there, we accepted a cargo of Liberty Ale. How the bloody yanks drink that swill, I'll never understand... During my Bowex days, we would've carried it to New London, where I assume some idiot hipster drinks it ironically, for a substantial profit. Sadly, I don't think we'd be exactly welcome on New London at the present time, so I accepted a contract to deliver it to Denver instead.
After safely delivering our Raw Sewage Liberty Ale to Denver, we picked up a load of pharmaceuticals. Again using past trade contacts, I managed to locate a buyer on Malta willing to pay a substantial sum. Finding a profitable export from Malta, on the other hand, may prove difficult. I did manage to convince the harbor master that I was not here to pick up Cardamine, but that does limit my options a little. I'm going to stay here a short time while my crew performs some routine maintenance. It'll give me a little time to shop around for trade opportunities.
Captain John Riley, NO-Aluminum.Falcon
Natio Octavarium
I'd like to formally welcome the Riley family and the Jarvis family to the Natio's civilian logistics fleet and members thereof to the military fleet.
John, it's good to see you and your family settling in so well. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me personally if you have any concerns. Be careful with those midnight booze runs through Kusari! You never know when the State Police will remember to do their jobs.

Military and intelligence assets,
We have made contact with the Blood Dragon shogunate. After being unable to go back to sleep I took a stroll around the system and formed up with the OCS Save Yourself. We were contacted with a system-wide broadcast from an apparent member of the Blood Dragons, and from there proceeded to make visual contact with them. They identified themselves as "Homura". We discussed the nature of the Natio and our intent to open relations with the Shogunate. They are currently spending time aboard Melbourne while establishing a line of contact between the reigning clans of the Blood Dragons and the Natio. Treat them as you would any of our own.
[20.05.825 09:28:18] BD|-'Homura: "Mhm. Is someone there?"
[20.05.825 09:28:31] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: That depends on how you define 'someone', lass.
[20.05.825 09:28:58] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Midnight strolls around the system always cure my insomnia.
[20.05.825 09:29:22] BD|-'Homura: "Yes, it seems that 'someone' is around, after all."
[20.05.825 09:30:04] BD|-'Homura: "Let's see, maybe i can peek on you."
[20.05.825 09:30:41] NO-F-Harold.Kane: That's a proposition and a half.
[20.05.825 09:31:15] BD|-'Homura: "Depending on the outcome, we might have an exciting conversation."
[20.05.825 09:31:56] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Well, that's what I live and breathe for.
[20.05.825 09:33:06] BD|-'Homura: "I see a... Melbourne station."
[20.05.825 09:33:24] NO-F-Harold.Kane: It's a cozy station, that.
[20.05.825 09:33:43] BD|-'Homura: "Does it belong to you?"
[20.05.825 09:34:02] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Indeed. [20.05.825 09:34:20] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: You are the ranking pilot on the scene, since this... might not be a commission matter.
[20.05.825 09:34:29] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Noted. [20.05.825 09:34:29] BD|-'Homura: "Then... who are 'you', if i may ask?"
[20.05.825 09:35:09] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Natio Octavarium. We're harmless, to put it underwhelmingly.
[20.05.825 09:35:25] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Well, only mostly harmless really.
[20.05.825 09:35:34] NO-F-Harold.Kane: I've been hoping to run into a member of the honourable Dragons for a while, to be honest.
[20.05.825 09:35:40] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Establish relations, all that.
[20.05.825 09:35:51] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: The Commission is of similar mind. [20.05.825 09:35:57] BD|-'Homura: "Looks like we can switch to somewhat more private channel."
[20.05.825 09:36:10] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Indeed. Welcome to our little slice of heaven.
[20.05.825 09:36:35] NO-F-Harold.Kane: You know, when the Gauls aren't interrupting it.
[20.05.825 09:36:43] BD|-'Homura: "Domo Arigatou. However, Minato Harbour and locals don't like me too much..."
[20.05.825 09:36:52] NO-F-Harold.Kane: The Crayterians are difficult, aye.
[20.05.825 09:37:11] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Crayter automated defenses are... not the most gracefully-programmed.
[20.05.825 09:37:26] NO-F-Harold.Kane: I was under the impression that the Shogunate and the Crayterians had an agreement of sorts. That's what Crayter told me.
[20.05.825 09:37:46] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Ah, unfortunate. An emergency calls.
[20.05.825 09:37:56] BD|-'Homura: "Such agreement is present, indeed. But, as you see, automated systems couldn't care less."
[20.05.825 09:37:58] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Can't let Escher's coffee go cold, Agent.
[20.05.825 09:38:31] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Indeed. I believe Melbourne is aware of the agreement. And, of course, we ourselves have no issue with the Shogunate.
[20.05.825 09:38:38] NO-F-Harold.Kane: The legitimate one, that is.
[20.05.825 09:38:57] BD|-'Homura: "So, as you might have already noticed, there is a living Dragon right before your eyes."
[20.05.825 09:39:14] NO-F-Harold.Kane: If Melbourne's defenses are reacting inappropriately to your presence I will have that matter resolved.
[20.05.825 09:39:19] BD|-'Homura: "And of your words i have made a conclusion that you have some proposition in mind, perhaps?"
[20.05.825 09:39:33] BD|-'Homura: "There is no issue with Melbourne, worry not."
[20.05.825 09:39:35] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Opening doors, is all.
[20.05.825 09:39:53] NO-F-Harold.Kane: We are not a fan of those which claim to be running Kusari.
[20.05.825 09:40:01] NO-F-Harold.Kane: They are far too friendly to the Gallic invaders.
[20.05.825 09:40:11] NO-F-Harold.Kane: The same Gallic invaders that have pushed my people out of their previous home.
[20.05.825 09:40:18] BD|-'Homura: "They are licking their feet, rather, and that's disgusting."
[20.05.825 09:40:40] BD|-'Homura: "Not something i wish to observe or tolerate for my Home."
[20.05.825 09:40:50] NO-F-Harold.Kane: And not something we wish to continue.
[20.05.825 09:41:00] NO-F-Harold.Kane: The people of Kusari deserve better.
[20.05.825 09:41:31] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Such fiesty people, those Crayterians.
[20.05.825 09:41:48] BD|-'Homura: "Can not really blame them for such."
[20.05.825 09:42:07] NO-F-Harold.Kane: And their IMG friends... are misguided at best.
[20.05.825 09:42:30] NO-F-Harold.Kane: But as we share this system with the Crayterians, we are unfortunately forced to be agreeable.
[20.05.825 09:42:39] BD|-'Homura: "However, with the recent merge of Imperial Navy and The Republic, Dragons appeared to be... in even more vulnerable position."
[20.05.825 09:43:07] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Indeed. The Dragons deserve better.
[20.05.825 09:43:46] BD|-'Homura: "So, what would be your proposition? I will direct your words to where they belong."
[20.05.825 09:43:51] NO-F-Harold.Kane: In essence, what I wish to do is say hello. Merely say that we are here, and we are sympathetic to your cause.
[20.05.825 09:44:03] BD|-'Homura: "Assist you in 'establishing the link', so to say."
[20.05.825 09:44:17] NO-F-Harold.Kane: If there is something we can do to help you, we are here.
[20.05.825 09:44:40] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: The Commission may also have an interest, but I believe there are contacts working on that already.
[20.05.825 09:44:47] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Ah, agent.
[20.05.825 09:45:04] BD|-'Homura: "The Comission? An intelligence agency of sorts?"
[20.05.825 09:45:24] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Octavarium Intelligence Commission. We monitor threats to Natio Octavarium.
[20.05.825 09:45:33] Death: Gtock suffered a self-inflicted catastrophic decompression.
[20.05.825 09:45:57] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: I can't immediately share everything, but that's publicly known to be Gallia and those who support them
[20.05.825 09:46:23] BD|-'Homura: "Hai. A bunch of despisable beings."
[20.05.825 09:46:53] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: The appeasers and capitulators are even worse. Bretonian history warns of Chamberlain and those like him.
[20.05.825 09:47:50] NO-F-Harold.Kane: I mostly stay out of Commission affairs. The obvious joke is that intelligence is not my strong suit.
[20.05.825 09:47:51] BD|-'Homura: "I am obliged to assure you that your word of greeting will be passed to the appropriate person."
[20.05.825 09:48:17] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: For your report, I am known as Sundog.
[20.05.825 09:48:25] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Not my real name obviously, Commission policy.
[20.05.825 09:48:44] BD|-'Homura: "I have realised, no need for clarification."
[20.05.825 09:48:59] BD|-'Homura: "I will establish a secure direct channel, then."
[20.05.825 09:49:00] NO-F-Harold.Kane: I am more concerned about the wellbeing of our people, and that they and others like them are not subjected to the horrors we--
[20.05.825 09:49:22] NO-F-Harold.Kane: --see in those places that Gallia have single-handedly reduced.
[20.05.825 09:50:01] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: I was born in Leeds. I would see Gallia repaid in kind. But that is not exactly our role.
[20.05.825 09:50:07] BD|-'Homura: "So, are what is Natio Octavarium? You honestly don't look like some sort of refugee camp."
[20.05.825 09:50:42] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We come from many walks. Many of us are those who are trying to start a new life, for various reasons.
[20.05.825 09:51:49] BD|-'Homura: "That's... not exactly what i've expected. Some brief past history would suffice."
[20.05.825 09:52:08] BD|-'Homura: "For better understanding of how should i approach Taii-Shogun with the word from you."
[20.05.825 09:52:11] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Many of us, myself not included, have criminal pasts that we renounced in the wake of Gallia's destruction.
[20.05.825 09:53:04] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: But, where to go? Liberty? The LPI would just throw them into their labor-camp prisons. Bretonia? Far worse problems.
[20.05.825 09:53:23] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Rheinland's justice is a joke, and Kusari... I should think I don't have to elaborate.
[20.05.825 09:54:11] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: For their part, Liberty - home to most of those pilots - agreed to let our pasts go and let us settle elsewhere.
[20.05.825 09:54:15] BD|-'Homura: "Indeed. I live on the other side of law for a few years already, and i've seen enough."
[20.05.825 09:54:36] NO-F-Harold.Kane: We tried the Independent Worlds, and for a couple years we were slowly beginning a real life. Gallia came and muscled us out.
[20.05.825 09:54:58] NO-F-Harold.Kane: So we came to a system that Gallia knew existed but pulled out of due to... reasons.
[20.05.825 09:55:12] BD|-'Homura: "Gallia's influence is nothing but a harm to anyone it affects."
[20.05.825 09:55:15] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Mostly related to all that lingering wreckage.
[20.05.825 09:55:31] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Tau-44 was not worth their time once. We took a calculated risk and determined it would not be worth their time again.
[20.05.825 09:55:50] NO-F-Harold.Kane: We see small patrols of their tertiary and quarternary fleets occasionally, but nothing of any importance.
[20.05.825 09:55:53] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We're in a better position to make them regret their overextension, as well.
[20.05.825 09:56:34] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: But, stability must be attained first.
[20.05.825 09:56:55] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We have civilians to look after, and cannot simply rush into open war, even if we *did* have the firepower for that sort of
[20.05.825 09:56:58] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: frontal military conflict.
[20.05.825 09:57:06] NO-F-Harold.Kane: We are hoping to give our people some stability.
[20.05.825 09:57:21] BD|-'Homura: "I see. It seems to finally be worthy of my time to visit Tau-44 and run into something... exciting."
[20.05.825 09:57:26] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Better, I think, to leave direct action to the more plentiful forces of Crayter and the Council, and divert our expertise to...
[20.05.825 09:57:39] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: indirect approaches.
[20.05.825 09:58:35] BD|-'Homura: "That's the way of mind i can respect."
[20.05.825 09:58:43] NO-F-Harold.Kane: We're here to do better things for our people.
[20.05.825 09:59:10] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: And if Gallia falls back and ends their invasion, Sirius will be better for it.
[20.05.825 09:59:44] BD|-'Homura: "Exactly."
[20.05.825 10:00:07] BD|-'Homura: "Now, if you would allow me - i would like to stop at Melbourne for the time being."
[20.05.825 10:00:24] BD|-'Homura: "All the formalties with The Shogunate i am going to handle aboard of it."
[20.05.825 10:00:31] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Certainly. I believe you already have clearance.
[20.05.825 10:00:39] NO-F-Harold.Kane: I believe that is the case.
[20.05.825 10:00:54] BD|-'Homura: "Well, only one way to find out."
Agent Mindcrime reporting in. I took a scouting trip out to one of the Gallic border worlds -- the neighbouring Provence system -- this afternoon. To my delight, there was a freeport there dubbed Monte Carlo that accepted my ship for refueling without hesitation. I picked up some open market Gallic technology while there and have returned to Melbourne with it. I have already managed to mount one open market Gallic interceptor weapon, which appears to be a high refire EMP cannon. It seems to be drawing power abnormally well for what is absolutely a piece of foreign technology. The Gallic name for it is "Petit Carbine", which appears to translate to "miracle of directed energy munitions engineering". I have even managed to integrate it onto the same prototype framework as those odd tachyon cannons a Zoner offloaded onto us at Freeport 10.
Speaking of those tachyon cannons, they're holding up also unusually well on my Scimitar. I tried hooking one up to a production model Raven and the reactor output was cut by a quarter to compensate for irregular power spikes. I will need more time to reverse engineer those weapons, though from initial inspection they seem fairly similar to Maltese technology. The Wyrm, specifically, appears to be the basis for the Scythe tachyon cannon, and the Kraken the basis for the Sickle. I have not yet attempted to mount one of the Sickles on a Raven but I suspect there will be a similar issue.
Our production model fighters are not properly equipped to handle Maltese weapons technology, unfortunately. Due to our current situation between them and the Crayterians I will not attempt to mate Maltese weapons to our fighters, but I will continue working on these Edge Worlds weapons. They seem like a potential avenue for technology that we are both already fairly familiar with, due to their apparent Maltese origin, as well as something that is fairly locally available. That Zoner weapons dealer on Freeport 10 seems to have more where these ones came from.
Alice took the Wollongong out for a trial interdiction run in the Taus. Not as much high-end traffic as she was hoping for - which makes sense, they go into 31 from 23 directly - but she did stumble across some very interesting cargo.
We could probably source more of these from the Zoners if we need them, but this oughta be helpful.
One of my escort pilots reported a very interesting encounter in Vi- Tau-44, but that's best left to the Fleet to address.

I'm down at the pub because I've had enough of this "sobriety" shit for one day.
We made contact with two Order vessels flagging as not-the-Order in Tau-44 this evening. Fleet Pilot Kayron Jarvis and Aquila escort pilot Carolyn Prescott flew alongside as we verbally engaged the apparent rogue Order capital ships Amenhotep -- an Osiris-class battleship -- and Montu -- some kind of battlecruiser I haven't seen before. Granted I haven't spent much time in the Omicrons lately, but y'know. I digress.
Some conversation indicated that they were from an independent battlegroup of some sort and were looking for signs of Nomad infection. We assured them that the system was clean and that any extra-Sirian problems had already been thoroughly sterilized. They assured us that they had no quarrel with us, and were cooperating with Auxesia across Sirius to deal with infections and other alien incursion.
Then the Crayter fleet showed up.
We gently "escorted" the two not-Order vessels to the Provence back door, since they wanted to see what Gallia was all about, and sent them on their way. Godspeed, you crazy diamonds. I've now come back from patrols and am in the pub and oh holy lord I have a new transmission to listen to can't a former pirate lord get a couple pints in around here in peace?

[22.05.2018 05:03:02] CV-Montu: V: Scouting for any installations they nest in.
[22.05.2018 05:03:11] Amenhotep: Kalh: Tidings Harold.
[22.05.2018 05:03:40] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Well, you won't find anything of the sort here. All that's been cleared out.
[22.05.2018 05:03:50] CV-Montu: V: You never know.
[22.05.2018 05:04:05] Amenhotep: Kalh: Yes, infestation can be anywhere. No place is immune.
[22.05.2018 05:04:10] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Huh. I don't think TRE training covered this.
[22.05.2018 05:04:13] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Indeed. Thankfully this system has been clean for a while.
[22.05.2018 05:04:15] CV-Montu: V: Trust me. I've seen my fair share of them hiding in the most outlandish of places.
[22.05.2018 05:04:26] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: There was an installation, but it has been thoroughly sterilized.
[22.05.2018 05:04:40] CV-Montu: V: They do field warships. Just saying.
[22.05.2018 05:04:45] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We are aware.
[22.05.2018 05:04:57] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: There was an encounter. It was dealt with.
[22.05.2018 05:05:54] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: The most alien thing around here these days are the Gauls.
[22.05.2018 05:06:09] Amenhotep: Kalh: Speaking of the Gauls
[22.05.2018 05:06:11] CV-Montu: V: Exactlyhow alien are we talking?
[22.05.2018 05:06:32] Amenhotep: Kalh: I take it the Crayterians have stood their ground here in the Taus?
[22.05.2018 05:06:38] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: They have, for better or worse.
[22.05.2018 05:06:58] Amenhotep: Kalh: Glad to see the Gauls met some good resistance here also.
[22.05.2018 05:07:11] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Made a mess of things before they left though.
[22.05.2018 05:07:16] Amenhotep: Kalh: Tho I am not aware of your organization as my records show a blank. What exactly are you?
[22.05.2018 05:07:28] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Natio Octavarium. We're an independent microstate of sorts.
[22.05.2018 05:07:47] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We're refitting a few installations in the system for civilian residences and commerce hubs.
[22.05.2018 05:08:02] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Carolyn Prescott, Aquila Defense Systems escort, we're with Octavarium.
[22.05.2018 05:08:04] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: The Crayterians were kind enough to let us use the system on the condition that we help keep the Gallic forces at bay.
[22.05.2018 05:08:08] Amenhotep: Kalh: If I may, what is your goal?
[22.05.2018 05:08:17] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Harold Kane, Taskmaster of the Octavarium Fleet, and Minister of Relations.
[22.05.2018 05:08:25] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Our goal is to survive.
[22.05.2018 05:08:36] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Kicking those Gallic bastards out of the Taus is a start. Then, as much peace as Sirius will allow.
[22.05.2018 05:08:36] CV-Montu: V: Universal goal.
[22.05.2018 05:08:46] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We've been knocked out of our previous home on the other side of western Sirius by Gallia. This is our second settlement.
[22.05.2018 05:09:46] CV-Montu: V: Haven't had much experience with Gallia..
[22.05.2018 05:09:49] Amenhotep: Kalh: Gallia is a plague... I sometimes compare them to the Nomads, in a small sense anyways.
[22.05.2018 05:09:56] CV-Montu: V: Might be an ulterior motive... hm..
[22.05.2018 05:10:07] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: As luck would have it we discovered some years-old installation, and we've sterilized it for retrofitting as a purely--
[22.05.2018 05:10:10] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: civilian installation.
[22.05.2018 05:10:22] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: From the propaganda broadcasts we've seen, it seems as though Gallia feels we've wronged them somehow.
[22.05.2018 05:10:26] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Homes, jobs, the like.
[22.05.2018 05:10:38] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Which seems improbable, with the whole "hiding behind a minefield for centuries" thing.
[22.05.2018 05:10:40] Amenhotep: Kalh: When you say you steralized it, do you scan your people upon entry or asume they are clean?
[22.05.2018 05:10:42] CV-Montu: V: Interesting. Any specifics, or were they blatantly vagu?
[22.05.2018 05:10:59] CV-Montu: // vague*
[22.05.2018 05:11:01] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: They've never specified on anything I've seen, it's just from the tone and phrasing.
[22.05.2018 05:11:02] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We blasted the whole of the thing with hard radiation, to start.
[22.05.2018 05:11:22] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: If it's the installation I think it is, there's no one actually *on* it right now
[22.05.2018 05:11:28] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We're still waiting on some more sterilization procedures to be completed before we move people in.
[22.05.2018 05:11:33] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Mostly drones doing cleanup at this point.
[22.05.2018 05:11:54] Amenhotep: Kalh: Well, if no one has been moved in, i suggest you scan your people upon entry. so you can guarentee it
[22.05.2018 05:12:09] Amenhotep: Kalh: The Amenhotep carries such scanners and we can make more should you need them
[22.05.2018 05:12:27] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We appreciate the offer. Our scanner technology is focused more on, well...
[22.05.2018 05:12:33] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Things like this HFX-series.
[22.05.2018 05:12:45] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Long ago we had historical ties with the Lane Hackers.
[22.05.2018 05:12:48] CV-Montu: V: Are those state of the art, Kalh, or can I get the same for the Montu?
[22.05.2018 05:12:51] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: And the Limelight series. Long-range recon scans, rather than biological.
[22.05.2018 05:12:57] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Arrogant pricks, but damn if they don't build a good scanner suite.
[22.05.2018 05:13:26] Amenhotep: Kalh: The ones on this Osiris are differen then the regular Order issue Vex, I will have some sent over.
[22.05.2018 05:13:35] CV-Montu: V: Sounds good.
[22.05.2018 05:13:56] CV-Montu: V: Now I wanna see this place... dammit..
[22.05.2018 05:14:01] Amenhotep: Kalh: tho only effective when the subject walks through it, I have not seen a scanner that can detect incubi through a sheild.
[22.05.2018 05:14:08] CV-Montu: V: This is what exploration does to someone's head..
[22.05.2018 05:14:52] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: The local biological oddities we encountered were not Nomad in origin as far as we could tell.
[22.05.2018 05:14:57] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Granted we're not experts like the Order.
[22.05.2018 05:15:25] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: These scanners sound very similar to common security scanners. Not to judge your tech, I'm sure it's very good, but the
[22.05.2018 05:15:33] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: But it didn't have any of the hallmarks of squid stuff.
[22.05.2018 05:15:45] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: overall physical profile of the device sounds like it would fit in a similar installation.
[22.05.2018 05:15:46] CV-Montu: V: Anything else to be said about Gallia? Ship preference, style of combat, anything interesting they may have said once?
[22.05.2018 05:15:58] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: A good way to mask such sensitive scans.
[22.05.2018 05:16:23] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Gallia... is interesting. They're not so brash as to dominate a fighter with a battleship. They appear to be interested in--
[22.05.2018 05:16:25] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Based on what we've observed, their Valor-class is exceptionally durable.
[22.05.2018 05:16:27] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: intimidation in many respects.
[22.05.2018 05:16:51] Amenhotep: Kalh: Durable but I never met one that can stand agains this Osiris.
[22.05.2018 05:17:08] CV-Montu: V: *mumbling* .. durable.. intimidation..
[22.05.2018 05:17:08] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: They will let a single inferior vessel go to tell tall tales about the so-called superior Gallic forces.
[22.05.2018 05:17:14] Amenhotep: Kalh: My time in Liberty shown me how they attack and defend.
[22.05.2018 05:17:18] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Their fighters don't seem to stand out in any particular way compared to Sirian craft, though.
[22.05.2018 05:17:27] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Proper military vessels, but unremarkable.
[22.05.2018 05:18:20] CV-Montu: V: So they're just angry foreigners with beefy war tech bent on intimidating Sirius?
[22.05.2018 05:18:32] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: In summary.
[22.05.2018 05:18:41] CV-Montu: V: Sounds like someone I know.
[22.05.2018 05:18:42] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: From what I've seen in Leeds, "intimidation" isn't adequate.
[22.05.2018 05:18:53] Amenhotep: Kalh: They also have a knack for speading their supply lines to thin
[22.05.2018 05:19:02] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: They will dominate if they are allowed to.
[22.05.2018 05:19:04] CV-Montu: V: I've seen Leeds... none of their ships strolled up, but I saw it..
[22.05.2018 05:19:16] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Bretonia didn't have enough of a defense when the Royal Navy invaded Leeds.
[22.05.2018 05:19:23] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: They took Leeds in days flat.
[22.05.2018 05:19:40] Amenhotep: Kalh: The Kusari War made sure of that
[22.05.2018 05:19:43] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Hrm. *jots down some notes*
[22.05.2018 05:19:56] CV-Montu: V: Yeah.. they were at war with Kusari, weren't they?
[22.05.2018 05:20:05] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Seems like such a petty pissing match in hindsight.
[22.05.2018 05:20:06] CV-Montu: V: Hmh.. bad timing..
[22.05.2018 05:20:06] Amenhotep: Kalh: For sometime yes.
[22.05.2018 05:20:07] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: The Gallic supply lines are very focused in the corridor attached to this system.
[22.05.2018 05:20:29] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Which is rather fortunate for us.
[22.05.2018 05:20:52] Amenhotep: Kalh: Are you saying they have to travel this way?
[22.05.2018 05:20:59] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Not through this system, but near it.
[22.05.2018 05:21:08] Amenhotep: Kalh: Interesting
[22.05.2018 05:21:11] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: They're working on building a lane through Tau-23.
[22.05.2018 05:21:25] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: They primarily move through Tau-23 in order to enter and exit their home systems.
[22.05.2018 05:21:42] CV-Montu: V: Hmm..
[22.05.2018 05:22:19] CV-Montu: V: I saw an Outcast station there as we passed by.. I assume that they give Gallia a hard time..
[22.05.2018 05:22:32] CV-Montu: V: 'least I think it was Outcast..
[22.05.2018 05:22:52] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: They do work in 23 pretty frequently, but I don't know the particulars.
[22.05.2018 05:23:07] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Maltese influence in the Taus is fairly common.
[22.05.2018 05:23:53] Amenhotep: Kalh: You seem to know a lot about this situation
[22.05.2018 05:24:01] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Well, we do live here.
[22.05.2018 05:24:06] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We are wise beyond our appearances.
[22.05.2018 05:24:23] CV-Montu: V: Never doubted locals before. Not going to start now.
[22.05.2018 05:24:26] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: An organization not heard of in one region of space is not necessarily an organization that has never been seen before.
[22.05.2018 05:24:57] Amenhotep: Kalh: Just like the Auxesians smart and resourceful
[22.05.2018 05:25:02] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: I have never heard of the Amenhotep or the Montu, for example, but I can tell they're not just cardboard cutouts of Order ships
[22.05.2018 05:25:22] CV-Montu: V: We try.
[22.05.2018 05:25:26] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Auxesia is a very interesting group.
[22.05.2018 05:25:42] Amenhotep: Kalh: indeed they are, I have known them for years and we work togeather on eradicating the nomad threat
[22.05.2018 05:26:53] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We have had limited encounters with them, but they seem very resourceful.
[22.05.2018 05:27:17] Amenhotep: Kalh: Respect with them goes a long way
[22.05.2018 05:27:30] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: I haven't asked much of what they do, but they seem like a formidable force to be allied with.
[22.05.2018 05:27:31] Amenhotep: Kalh: Just a little tip.
[22.05.2018 05:27:45] Amenhotep: Kalh: indeed.
[22.05.2018 05:27:52] CV-Montu: V: More than formidable.
[22.05.2018 05:28:34] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: I'm always interested in meeting new organizations.
[22.05.2018 05:29:02] CV-Montu: V: As am I.. ones that don't proclaim fairy tales on me, that is.
[22.05.2018 05:29:10] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: By chance, do your vessels have an organizational affiliation of that sort?
[22.05.2018 05:29:11] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: I think I hear a story behind that one.
[22.05.2018 05:29:21] CV-Montu: V: It's a long story..
[22.05.2018 05:29:32] CV-Montu: V: And.. there is a /kind/ of organization..
[22.05.2018 05:29:39] CV-Montu: V: It's.. not really cemented yet..
[22.05.2018 05:29:48] CV-Montu: V: Still ironing out the details.
[22.05.2018 05:30:15] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: I understand. We were for many years a vagrant fleet.
[22.05.2018 05:30:48] Amenhotep: Kalh: our main purpose
[22.05.2018 05:30:55] Amenhotep: Kalh: is against the Nomads.
[22.05.2018 05:31:16] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: A noble cause.
[22.05.2018 05:31:16] Amenhotep: Kalh: We will only engage human forces in self defence or if we are already hostile with said forces.
[22.05.2018 05:31:29] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Quick question. How's your relationship with the Crayterians?
[22.05.2018 05:31:42] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Seems a lot of people are finally moving against the aliens.
[22.05.2018 05:31:45] Amenhotep: Kalh: The Amenhotep aided them in the destruction of the Nomad gate in Coronado
[22.05.2018 05:31:50] CV-Montu: V: I've got a pass from the Military as far as I'm aware.
[22.05.2018 05:31:53] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Perfect.
[22.05.2018 05:31:56] Amenhotep: Kalh: But
[22.05.2018 05:32:20] Amenhotep: Kalh: with the infected forces taking over the Liberty higher command I was labeled a terrorist for obviouse reasons
[22.05.2018 05:32:41] Amenhotep: Kalh: So I am not sure if Liberty fed the Craterians any lies about me.
[22.05.2018 05:33:15] CV-Montu: V: Regardless, the focus is the alien threat... again...
[22.05.2018 05:33:17] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Well, we haven't heard anything
[22.05.2018 05:33:18] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: I don't know. We have... interesting relations.
[22.05.2018 05:33:23] CV-Montu: V: God only knows why they keep coming back..
[22.05.2018 05:34:03] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Interesting.
[22.05.2018 05:34:09] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: 39th pilot, I think someone left an error in your transponder code.
[22.05.2018 05:34:21] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Well, we haven't heard much at all. It seems we're all just working together for the same common goals.
[22.05.2018 05:34:29] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Happy coincidence.
[22.05.2018 05:34:33] Six-Two-Aplha[39th]: What makes you think that?
[22.05.2018 05:34:34] Amenhotep: Kalh: Indeed
[22.05.2018 05:34:43] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Part of your identifier is misspelled.
[22.05.2018 05:35:32] Six-Two-Aplha[39th]: Ah i see what you mean, youre totaly right *nods*
[22.05.2018 05:36:17] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: It's an interesting local environment, that's for sure.
[22.05.2018 05:36:25] CV-Montu: V: Inded.
[22.05.2018 05:36:45] Amenhotep: Kalh: Well, Its been a long time Crayterians.
[22.05.2018 05:36:56] =CR=FV-Minotaur: Henn: Contact
[22.05.2018 05:36:58] CV-Montu: V: Been.. about a couple months, really..
[22.05.2018 05:37:06] CV-Montu: V: Howdy, Captains.
[22.05.2018 05:37:18] =CR=FV-Avoca: James: well this is unexpected
[22.05.2018 05:37:19] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Ah, the Crayterian primary fleet. Greetings, gents.
[22.05.2018 05:38:07] =CR=FV-Avoca: James: i don't remember our admiral allowing foreign battleships into tau-44
[22.05.2018 05:38:22] =CR=FV-Minotaur: Henn: Neither i do.
[22.05.2018 05:38:23] =CR=FV-Avoca: James: explain this inrusion
[22.05.2018 05:38:29] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: I hadn't heard anythign about that either, but Aquila's had its own problems.
[22.05.2018 05:38:38] Amenhotep: Kalh: Passing through naturally, looking for Nomadic bases and signs of infestation.
[22.05.2018 05:39:02] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Just a friendly chat, lads.
[22.05.2018 05:39:12] CV-Montu: V: Aye.
[22.05.2018 05:39:40] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: I feel rather out of place here.
[22.05.2018 05:39:42] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Captain, we're hoping this won't get rough. Usually we can call off the locals, but if we can't...
[22.05.2018 05:39:54] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We have a *lot* of problems in that case.
[22.05.2018 05:40:06] Amenhotep: Kalh: We arent here to fight but if we have no choice then I wont blame you for what happens.
[22.05.2018 05:40:11] NO-Kayron.Jarvis': Safe Skies Fugies.
[22.05.2018 05:40:20] =CR=FV-Avoca: James: well, can i assume your work is finished and you can leave our system now?
[22.05.2018 05:40:34] CV-Montu: V: I think it is.. Kalh?
[22.05.2018 05:40:56] Amenhotep: Kalh: It seems so, We where just speaking to Kane and his organization about the Gauls.
[22.05.2018 05:41:07] Amenhotep: Kalh: If we are unwelcome we shall leave.
[22.05.2018 05:41:09] =CR=FV-Avoca: James: Warships in our space makes me nervous, freindly or otherwise
[22.05.2018 05:41:12] CV-Montu: V: Guess we'll be on our way then..
[22.05.2018 05:41:15] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Indeed. Crayter fleet, I believe we can help them find their way out.
[22.05.2018 05:41:27] =CR=FV-Minotaur: Henn: Next time do it in smaller craft.
[22.05.2018 05:41:28] CV-Montu: V: Uh.. Mr. Kane.. do you happen to know a quick way into Gallia by chance?
[22.05.2018 05:41:33] =CR=FV-Minotaur: Henn: Or else
[22.05.2018 05:41:38] =CR=FV-Avoca: James: Wonderful, glad you understand
[22.05.2018 05:41:55] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Fairly. Follow my lead.
[22.05.2018 05:42:02] Amenhotep: Kalh: If you ever need our help against the Gauls. let us know.
[22.05.2018 05:42:06] CV-Montu: V: Will do.
[22.05.2018 05:42:11] Amenhotep: Kalh: we are not your enemies.
[22.05.2018 05:42:21] =CR=FV-Avoca: James: Safe travels
[22.05.2018 05:42:28] CV-Montu: V: Fly well, Crayterians.
[22.05.2018 05:42:50] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We'll need to pass around the sun. Which will also put some distance between us and the Crayterians.
[22.05.2018 05:43:07] CV-Montu: V: Sounds good.
[22.05.2018 05:43:09] Amenhotep: Kalh: That seemed a bit tense..
[22.05.2018 05:43:15] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: There is a relatively stable jump hole that is a back door into Gallia. We have not used it often, but it is there.
[22.05.2018 05:43:23] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We hope it is not well known, at least.
[22.05.2018 05:43:28] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: We'd appreciate if you not draw too much attention to it, just in case.
[22.05.2018 05:43:34] CV-Montu: V: For our sake, I hope not.
[22.05.2018 05:43:34] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: And yes, the Crayterians are...
[22.05.2018 05:43:34] Amenhotep: Kalh: We wont.
[22.05.2018 05:43:47] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: I don't have a good, polite word for it.
[22.05.2018 05:43:57] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: This system is adjacent to a warzone. Of course they're tense.
[22.05.2018 05:44:12] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: They need to drink more herbal teas.
[22.05.2018 05:44:13] Amenhotep: Kalh: My offer stand for you aswell. Should you need asistance we have our reasoning to dislike the Gauls aswell.
[22.05.2018 05:44:33] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We appreciate that.
[22.05.2018 05:45:43] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Honestly, the most dangerous thing in this system is Crayter.
[22.05.2018 05:45:56] Amenhotep: Kalh: why do you think that?
[22.05.2018 05:46:06] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: They start fights.
[22.05.2018 05:46:08] NO-Kayron.Jarvis': And that Gas nebula arround Tau 37 Jumphole.
[22.05.2018 05:46:31] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: The explosive gas fields are a bit of a hassle in small craft.
[22.05.2018 05:46:33] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: They provoke hostility where it isn't necessary. This gets people killed.
[22.05.2018 05:47:00] CV-Montu: V: Right.
[22.05.2018 05:47:00] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: The Crayterians have fascistic tendencies that deeply concern me from a political and civilian standpoint.
[22.05.2018 05:47:02] Amenhotep: Kalh: Its unfortunate. We dont have any hostilities with the Crayterians
[22.05.2018 05:47:02] NO-Kayron.Jarvis': Safe Travels Guys.
[22.05.2018 05:47:05] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: According to the Aquila charts, this goes to a Gallic system called Provence.
[22.05.2018 05:47:11] CV-Montu: V: Same to you three.
[22.05.2018 05:47:20] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: There's an open port there, near a planet, but I'm not sure it can service your vessels properly.
[22.05.2018 05:47:24] Amenhotep: Kalh: Was nice meeting you all. I hope yo see you in the future.
[22.05.2018 05:47:25] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: We'll give you a ring if we find anything blue and squishy.
[22.05.2018 05:47:28] CV-Montu: V: Hey. It's Gallia, and I'm intrigued.
[22.05.2018 05:47:33] CV-Montu: V: Flywell.
[22.05.2018 05:47:36] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Good flying.
[22.05.2018 05:47:39] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: Fly safe.
[22.05.2018 05:48:11] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: That was... exciting.
[22.05.2018 05:48:21] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: Carolyn, welcome to the fleet by accident.
[22.05.2018 05:48:37] NO-A-Carolyn.Prescott: It all blends together anyway.
[22.05.2018 05:48:51] NO-F-Harold.Kane^: I swear this is a daily occurrence out here.

ACV Eidolon Wraith was in the system today, investigating the Pillar installation. Auxesia has an apparent thirst for knowledge that makes them easier to predict.
An interesting conversation followed.
Highlights:
Auxesia has cleansed an installation similar to the Pillar, manned by some form of holographic defense, leading to speculation that these are a series of specialized research laboratories.
Different forms of Nomad display differing levels of hostility. Some are reportedly just curious wanderers, especially the younger forms. One form, described as, quote, "the small ones with the tentacles coming off like weird, glowing streams" are noted for being hostile in all situations.
The log is extremely long, and as a result I may have omitted valuable information in my summary. It is included in full, and should be reviewed when time permits.
[23.05.2018 01:27:23] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Predictable enough.
[23.05.2018 01:27:38] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Well, the EM signature at this range doesn't do us a justice.
[23.05.2018 01:27:44] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Enjoying the tour? You seem to have brought the right ship.
[23.05.2018 01:28:00] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Eh, I was more or less interested in that thing over there.
[23.05.2018 01:28:08] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: The bulbous, station-looking thing.
[23.05.2018 01:28:35] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: It's definitely of interest, yes. We have plans.
[23.05.2018 01:29:00] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Hang on, I'm getting a call.
[23.05.2018 01:29:01] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: As soon as we can ensure anyone that steps aboard won't be painfully killed, you understand
[23.05.2018 01:30:15] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Right, sorry.
[23.05.2018 01:30:24] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Locklear called about some artifact pickup.
[23.05.2018 01:30:45] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We don't exactly have the area on lockdown, but we do strongly advise people not to attempt to actually enter the structure
[23.05.2018 01:31:17] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We've been in one of those before.
[23.05.2018 01:31:26] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Its automated defenses were out of ammo.
[23.05.2018 01:31:38] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: This one appears to have been home to some sort of toxic nanoweapon
[23.05.2018 01:31:49] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: The exterior defenses are certainly not our concern.
[23.05.2018 01:32:14] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Information we normally wouldn't share, you understand, but we have reasons.
[23.05.2018 01:32:14] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Exterior defenses are easy enough to bypass. It's the safety measures these sort of installations have.
[23.05.2018 01:32:42] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Ours had some weird, holographic security system we couldn't combat with traditional methods.
[23.05.2018 01:33:00] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: And it was broadcasting through some kind of life support shielding grid, using light reflection to angle itself.
[23.05.2018 01:33:06] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It was crude, yet sophisticated at the same time.
[23.05.2018 01:33:08] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Interesting.
[23.05.2018 01:33:22] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Non-lethal, too. It couldn't project enough power to hurt anyone.
[23.05.2018 01:33:29] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: A series of specialized laboratories, perhaps.
[23.05.2018 01:33:44] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We would need to find more to confirm the pattern, of course.
[23.05.2018 01:34:09] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Well, we've found a handful, and have been in pursuit of who appears to be the owners of these hidden stashes.
[23.05.2018 01:34:15] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: For quite some time.
[23.05.2018 01:34:27] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We're also one of the only few groups to ever make direct contact and receive a response.
[23.05.2018 01:34:41] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They're not a very friendly people.
[23.05.2018 01:34:57] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: That much was clear, at least.
[23.05.2018 01:35:36] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Did they send killer death machines after you, too?
[23.05.2018 01:35:48] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We got lucky that Stacker managed to hold it off long enough for Predator to take over.
[23.05.2018 01:35:54] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Yes. I was flying the Premonition, and two other Commission operatives were on the scene
[23.05.2018 01:36:20] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Predator managed to save the entire operation.
[23.05.2018 01:36:31] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: our situation was messier.
[23.05.2018 01:36:50] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: The support drone was destroyed by our team, but the apparent lead craft was more resilient.
[23.05.2018 01:37:00] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: By the time the Repentence arrived, a Gallic task force was also here.
[23.05.2018 01:37:06] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Or, near here at least.
[23.05.2018 01:38:09] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: They seemed content to show off their believed superiority, and left after disabling the lead vessel.
[23.05.2018 01:38:31] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I suppose they were satisfied with whatever was salvaged from the wreckage.
[23.05.2018 01:38:47] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Overconfidence tends to be a little blinding sometimes.
[23.05.2018 01:38:49] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Maybe. Kane secured the most important portion though.
[23.05.2018 01:39:43] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: It is a marked shift in tactics for the Royalists, though.
[23.05.2018 01:41:10] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They're faultering over the years.
[23.05.2018 01:41:18] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Pushing too hard with too little to back it up.
[23.05.2018 01:41:24] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Maybe. Hopefully.
[23.05.2018 01:42:03] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We need to keep disrupting them in the Taus. Force them to divide their attention or risk losing their supply line.
[23.05.2018 01:42:35] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: The supply line is alreadly slowly faultering, and their starvation doctrine hit a few more unexpected roadbumps.
[23.05.2018 01:42:46] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Namely, some angry people with scary guns hanging out in the Independent Worlds.
[23.05.2018 01:43:02] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Sever their logistics, destroy their forward bases, leave an isolated Gallic pocket in Leeds
[23.05.2018 01:43:15] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: And then see how many surrender.
[23.05.2018 01:43:44] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They don't like surrender all that much, trust me.
[23.05.2018 01:43:47] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Better to make them give up than to kill them. To surrender is to admit defeat, and what I've seen of the Royalists tells me
[23.05.2018 01:43:52] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: they don't take kindly to that.
[23.05.2018 01:44:02] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Or we kill them and solve the problem that way.
[23.05.2018 01:44:21] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: But ultimately that's more likely to create martyrs. Which... causes more issues.
[23.05.2018 01:44:48] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: At this rate, they're bound to fizzle out and fail. So many people are stacked against them now.
[23.05.2018 01:44:54] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: The odds are insurmountable.
[23.05.2018 01:45:06] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: And they seem to be actively driving away what few allies they have gotten.
[23.05.2018 01:45:26] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Can't possibly imagine why.
[23.05.2018 01:46:21] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: At this point I have some concerns to look into, though. I suspect they may still have friends in the south.
[23.05.2018 01:46:43] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: If they do, they'll lose eventually.
[23.05.2018 01:47:12] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We'll see. A nation that dedicates itself entirely to military force often proves... difficult to dislodge.
[23.05.2018 01:47:48] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Give me a day, and I can probably deploy enough precision ordinance to turn their Valors into vapor.
[23.05.2018 01:47:54] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Once they're out of the Taus, they're no longer our problem. Not that I've ruled out continued operations if they're useful.
[23.05.2018 01:48:06] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It would take an immense amount of coordination, but hey - I've got the munitions for it.
[23.05.2018 01:48:23] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: And that would turn your neighbors against you out of fear of letting you grow stronger.
[23.05.2018 01:48:46] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: That's why we're fairly vague about what we do.
[23.05.2018 01:48:54] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Otherwise people get scared of us.
[23.05.2018 01:49:05] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: More scared than is operationally useful, anyway.
[23.05.2018 01:49:36] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Well that depends on what your operations require. Thanks to some testing, we're getting the hang of direct jump lines.
[23.05.2018 01:49:57] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: And beginning mass production of beacons, so if ever one operative is in danger, an entire strike force can respond -
[23.05.2018 01:50:00] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: instantly from home.
[23.05.2018 01:50:21] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: A long flight is reduced to nothing. It's quite nice.
[23.05.2018 01:50:48] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We uh... May or may not have had an incident while testing where we /maybe/ jumped a fleet of infectees here.
[23.05.2018 01:51:22] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Yes, we had picked up something suspicious at range. I trust the problem was cleaned up properly.
[23.05.2018 01:51:41] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Well I wouldn't be too worried. We took them all back with us and they were fairly disoriented.
[23.05.2018 01:52:04] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: That kind of mass signature... there aren't many likely culprits. You, Crayter... *maybe* Malta.
[23.05.2018 01:52:36] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Crayter far surpasses us in numbers.
[23.05.2018 01:52:41] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: In fact, we're pretty tiny.
[23.05.2018 01:52:54] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We just have enough fancy, spooky and shiny toys that people get spooked anyway.
[23.05.2018 01:53:13] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We tend toward smaller craft. Easier to hide our resources.
[23.05.2018 01:53:38] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: And having the right contact for any situation.
[23.05.2018 01:53:44] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Stealth technology, accurate jump technology, and the means to counter both.
[23.05.2018 01:53:57] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We've been working on deploying a new device to manage and control traffic.
[23.05.2018 01:54:06] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Oh?
[23.05.2018 01:54:33] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It'll send out a pulse that disrupts ships within range, stop cruise engines, cloaks, and jump drives.
[23.05.2018 01:55:16] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: A wide-area disruptive pulse on a specific frequency. Aquila had a rough concept, but nothing properly workable
[23.05.2018 01:55:24] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: They kept running into collateral damage issues.
[23.05.2018 01:55:40] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We happened to get lucky and catch a test concept in Kepler once, but the people doing it are - well... They made this base.
[23.05.2018 01:55:42] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Burning out electronics outside of the intended targets. Which is an issue in a fight.
[23.05.2018 01:56:36] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Our main focus right now is getting the Limelight series back into production. Knowledge is the best force amplifier.
[23.05.2018 01:56:48] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Yup.
[23.05.2018 01:57:38] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: On a distinctly related note, what does Auxesia know about the production of cruiser-scale power systems?
[23.05.2018 01:58:07] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We're capable of producing destroyers of our own at a very limited capacity, and our experience with power systems is -
[23.05.2018 01:58:23] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Rather hefty. We're very explorative when it comes to renewable energy sources.
[23.05.2018 01:58:49] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Interesting. We're investigating a few avenues to replace one that we overloaded, but that is a secondary project at the moment
[23.05.2018 01:59:04] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: This, of course, is our priority.
[23.05.2018 01:59:34] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Typical modular stations aren't known for having much living space. Adequate for essential crew, but not much more.
[23.05.2018 01:59:49] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: This one is a much more spacious location.
[23.05.2018 02:00:12] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: It seems intact. The reactor needs some maintenance, but core systems are functional.
[23.05.2018 02:00:39] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: An atmospheric purge and replacement is probably necessary, and a thorough cleansing of life support, but I don't think much is
[23.05.2018 02:00:39] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Well, I could suggest a salvage option, but it'd be touching history.
[23.05.2018 02:00:41] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: needed beyond that.
[23.05.2018 02:01:29] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: From our scans, it should be safe as long we make sure it's been decontaminated.
[23.05.2018 02:01:55] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Its location is also ideal. We wanted something off the main avenues through the system.
[23.05.2018 02:03:06] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: If everything proceeds as planned, this will be an open installation... mostly.
[23.05.2018 02:03:18] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Too far and you'll limit the time it takes for reinforcements to reach here in the event of attack.
[23.05.2018 02:03:25] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: So I hope you're taking security into consideration.
[23.05.2018 02:03:58] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: From our internal scans, this should be able to support a respectable snub response force
[23.05.2018 02:04:32] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Mm. I suppose that'll suffice.
[23.05.2018 02:04:52] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: A wing of onboard bombers, combined with the local navigational hazards, should be able to discourage nosy warships.
[23.05.2018 02:05:45] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: You'd be surprised. Determination is something else.
[23.05.2018 02:05:47] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: And if necessary we can radio Crayter for reinforcements. They clearly have more than enough battleships to throw at an issue.
[23.05.2018 02:05:58] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Eugh. Don't remind me.
[23.05.2018 02:06:08] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We try to avoid that option, but it's occasionally useful.
[23.05.2018 02:07:00] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: A local drydock would be useful, though.
[23.05.2018 02:07:07] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They certainly come in handy.
[23.05.2018 02:07:08] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: One other than the one the IMG have.
[23.05.2018 02:07:39] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I've used it before, when I stole a Dreadnought from Liberty.
[23.05.2018 02:07:47] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They were gracious enough to let us refit it there.
[23.05.2018 02:08:07] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Mhm. You hadn't provoked Gallia yet. That creates a complication for us to use it.
[23.05.2018 02:08:15] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Oh, we had.
[23.05.2018 02:08:24] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Interesting. Perhaps it's better-hidden than I thought.
[23.05.2018 02:08:41] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: The patrols weren't permitted to exit the nebula.
[23.05.2018 02:09:18] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: The explosive pockets would probably deter most Serval patrols, too.
[23.05.2018 02:09:49] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Indeed. The IMG played it off as a safety hazard while hiding a Monument-Class.
[23.05.2018 02:10:04] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They're pretty innovative when operating under the noses of oppression.
[23.05.2018 02:10:23] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: That makes sense. Perhaps I had underestimated them.
[23.05.2018 02:10:52] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It took a lot of convincing, and the Guildmaster was still a little skeptical, as we had only just cleared our names then.
[23.05.2018 02:11:04] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We were being accused of an attack on Freeport 11.
[23.05.2018 02:11:23] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: ... I had heard about some incidents out there, but never anything concrete.
[23.05.2018 02:11:43] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I was there. For all of the battles.
[23.05.2018 02:11:58] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Stayed awake for five days, fighting on the bridge of the Cincinnati against The Core.
[23.05.2018 02:12:15] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Keeper Revenant had to order me out of service to recover.
[23.05.2018 02:12:29] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Core still just in it for money out there?
[23.05.2018 02:12:51] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Money, power.
[23.05.2018 02:13:01] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Their plan was revealed to us when we first started off.
[23.05.2018 02:13:12] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Keeper Revenant used to lead the Core back then.
[23.05.2018 02:13:38] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: She broke off with a loyal group of followers, the Eidolon, and every single piece of dirt on The Core she could find.
[23.05.2018 02:13:48] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: So the Edge Worlds still consist of varying levels of power-hungry megalomaniacs fighting each other.
[23.05.2018 02:13:50] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Including the blueprints to replicate their equipment.
[23.05.2018 02:13:54] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Sometimes I wonder if Nomads laugh.
[23.05.2018 02:14:28] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They do experience humour, but not the same way we do.
[23.05.2018 02:15:37] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: It seems that every group that sets out to fight the Nomads finds something else to do instead.
[23.05.2018 02:15:56] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Well, I wouldn't say we're fighting the Nomads.
[23.05.2018 02:16:01] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Not letting them kill people, sure.
[23.05.2018 02:16:05] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Shooting them when they do, yeah.
[23.05.2018 02:16:19] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Actively looking to drive a species to extinction? That's against the very reason we exist.
[23.05.2018 02:16:28] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Preservation of life and knowledge. All of it.
[23.05.2018 02:17:10] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: And trying to communicate with them never gets easier, by the way. Just more and more tedious.
[23.05.2018 02:17:24] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: That's never been my field, so I'll take your word for it.
[23.05.2018 02:17:39] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Yeah... I've got some experience on the subject.
[23.05.2018 02:17:41] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: As long as they leave us alone, we see no reason to provoke them.
[23.05.2018 02:17:57] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They'll usually poke around. A lot of them are curious.
[23.05.2018 02:18:11] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Though the bigger they get, the more aggressive they get.
[23.05.2018 02:18:16] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: So keep that in mind.
[23.05.2018 02:18:30] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: And the small ones with the tentacles coming off like weird, glowing streams?
[23.05.2018 02:18:33] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They exist to kill.
[23.05.2018 02:18:40] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They're just weapons.
[23.05.2018 02:18:49] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Good to know
[23.05.2018 02:19:08] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We've yet to see any out here, but we've been watching.
[23.05.2018 02:19:10] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: The softer, more-rounded out ones that are a bit smaller are more or less children.
[23.05.2018 02:19:56] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: And the more I think on it, the more I hope Crayter doesn't see any out here.
[23.05.2018 02:20:10] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They're out to learn. Gather knowledge to develop an identity. The unfortunate fact is, they get met with gunfire everywhere
[23.05.2018 02:20:16] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It teaches them to hate us.
[23.05.2018 02:20:45] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: But we can't just let them roam around freely into traffic lanes and civilian areas.
[23.05.2018 02:20:51] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It's a problem that needs to be contained.
[23.05.2018 02:22:39] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Very interesting information. Definitely to be considered if they do show up.
[23.05.2018 02:23:00] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: I'd normally offer an invitation to the Glass Moon Pub, Minister Kane tends to be there lately, but I suspect you'd rather not
[23.05.2018 02:23:11] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Well uh...
[23.05.2018 02:23:12] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: leave an Auxesia vessel moored this close to Crayter installations.
[23.05.2018 02:23:17] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I kind of...
[23.05.2018 02:23:22] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Can't... Drink things anyway.
[23.05.2018 02:23:32] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Ah. I was not aware.
[23.05.2018 02:23:57] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Yeeeah, most people aren't really comfortable with the idea when they realize the four purple lights on my face isn't a mask
[23.05.2018 02:24:25] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: I can see where that would be an issue.
[23.05.2018 02:24:47] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Well, walk into a bar looking like a walking infantry-fighting-vehicle and see if people get concerned.
[23.05.2018 02:25:28] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Hah. My favorite was a sparring match with the Curator.
[23.05.2018 02:25:34] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Oh?
[23.05.2018 02:25:50] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I told him to do what he'd normally do when confronted with an enemy.
[23.05.2018 02:26:00] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: So he pulled his sidearm and fired into my chest once.
[23.05.2018 02:26:21] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: But when your fleshy bits and bones were replaced by steel because they weren't working anymore, that doesn't work.
[23.05.2018 02:26:28] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Once, from a sidearm? Even with normal armor, that's usually inadequate.
[23.05.2018 02:26:49] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Well, I don't really fit in clothes, so I'm just kind of over here looking like an evil villain.
[23.05.2018 02:28:02] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: To be fair though, I did used to have to wear a mask.
[23.05.2018 02:28:06] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It's part of the uniform.
[23.05.2018 02:28:31] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Interesting. I can see the merits. I'm reminded of the Immortals.
[23.05.2018 02:29:00] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Intimidation, mystery. Identity concealment. The Curator was pretty surprised when I told him this wasn't a mask.
[23.05.2018 02:29:52] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I believe his exact statement was: "Oh. Shit."
[23.05.2018 02:30:07] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Commission policy generally discourages facial coverings, though. They tend to draw attention, which isn't how we work usually.
[23.05.2018 02:30:52] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Yeah, but I can either draw attention in a mask, or draw attention looking like I'm wearing a mask
[23.05.2018 02:30:59] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I don't really have a lot of alternatives, here.
[23.05.2018 02:31:06] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: True.
[23.05.2018 02:31:12] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Maybe if I spraypaint a smiley face on my face.
[23.05.2018 02:31:22] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Actually- no. That'd scare people.
[23.05.2018 02:31:26] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: I suspect that would be more alarming, yes.
[23.05.2018 02:32:03] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Eh...
[23.05.2018 02:32:05] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It kind of sucks.
[23.05.2018 02:32:14] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: There's a lot of things I miss being able to do.
[23.05.2018 02:32:28] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I haven't been to sleep in four months.
[23.05.2018 02:32:45] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: That seems like it would be mentally taxing.
[23.05.2018 02:33:07] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Yeah that's honestly the least taxing of the stuff I put up with on a daily basis.
[23.05.2018 02:34:25] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: That's fair. You're not far from where we used to operate.
[23.05.2018 02:34:38] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Yeah, I recall.
[23.05.2018 02:34:40] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Kansas.
[23.05.2018 02:34:59] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Golanski on one line, assorted nosy LSF on another, uppity local pirates on yet a third
[23.05.2018 02:35:14] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: With Gallia bearing down on everyone.
[23.05.2018 02:35:36] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: And of course the Lane Hackers occasionally insisting upon their own relevance.
[23.05.2018 02:36:04] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Ah, the Lane Hackers.
[23.05.2018 02:36:12] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Useful, yet so aggrovating to deal with.
[23.05.2018 02:36:44] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: We haven't found much use for them historically, especially once we got the Limelight arrays set up.
[23.05.2018 02:37:07] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: As far as I can tell they're just hopped-up theater nerds that don't realize they're just slaves to Malta.
[23.05.2018 02:37:30] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Their networks have proven useful to me both as an independent Operative after I left the Legion and here.
[23.05.2018 02:37:38] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I've been able to gain access to a lot of information.
[23.05.2018 02:37:45] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It's amazing what those monkeys will do for a handful of credits.
[23.05.2018 02:38:07] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Well, they have to feed the habit somehow.
[23.05.2018 02:38:30] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Greed is a powerful motivator.
[23.05.2018 02:39:31] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: That, also, but I think it's mostly just the cardamine addiction.
[23.05.2018 02:39:42] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: True. Takes me back, though.
[23.05.2018 02:40:11] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Back then, everyone wanted my head.
[23.05.2018 02:40:35] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I remember I saved Baker from a Buro gunboat that the Director at the time had sent to figure out what Geoff and I were up -
[23.05.2018 02:40:37] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: to.
[23.05.2018 02:40:43] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: And she put a gun in my mouth.
[23.05.2018 02:41:19] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Baker... sounds vaguely familiar. Navy?
[23.05.2018 02:41:38] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Yup. Rachel Baker, First Fleet. At that time she was reinstated as a Captain, and remembered me.
[23.05.2018 02:41:52] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: ... formerly an admiral?
[23.05.2018 02:42:02] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Yup. She was re-promoted later.
[23.05.2018 02:42:11] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We stayed in touch after I explained my presence.
[23.05.2018 02:42:13] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: One of our pilots had an interesting discussion with her while escorting a Coalition convoy, back in the day.
[23.05.2018 02:42:34] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Baker, Polstari, Malrone and I used to fly on patrols together back in the day.
[23.05.2018 02:42:52] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Malrone sounds familiar too, but I don't remember a Polstari.
[23.05.2018 02:43:10] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Alan Polstari, and Admiral Jack Malrone.
[23.05.2018 02:43:15] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Malrone was my superior at the time.
[23.05.2018 02:43:27] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: He was recommending me for an immediate transfer into the First fleet as a Lieutenant.
[23.05.2018 02:43:35] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Completely bypassing the whole standard process.
[23.05.2018 02:43:54] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: They do occasionally recognize competence.
[23.05.2018 02:44:13] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Then one thing led to another and next thing I know is I'm dueling Malrone's Guardian, flying the same Prosecutor I have now
[23.05.2018 02:44:24] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It's a long story.
[23.05.2018 02:44:26] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: But eh.
[23.05.2018 02:44:29] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Ancient history.
[23.05.2018 02:44:31] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Not much unity in Liberty these days.
[23.05.2018 02:44:47] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Or much harmony, from what I hear. The navy's just pulling itself apart.
[23.05.2018 02:44:57] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: All while a war is ongoing.
[23.05.2018 02:44:59] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Smooth.
[23.05.2018 02:45:22] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Sirius being what it is, if they waited for peace to start fighting each other, they'd never get around to it.
[23.05.2018 02:46:05] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It's situations like that which remind me why I came here. Everywhere else felt so hopeless.
[23.05.2018 02:46:11] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Everyone is too busy killing each other.
[23.05.2018 02:46:41] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: I'm not such an idealist. The Gallic invasion gave us a chance to put piracy behind us, get the Hunters off our ass.
[23.05.2018 02:47:05] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Gallia's a threat, but at least this way we've reduced it to *one* instead of half of Sirius wanting us dead
[23.05.2018 02:47:15] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: If there's one thing I've learned serving at the front of Auxesia for all these years, it's that someone, somewhere, no -
[23.05.2018 02:47:22] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: matter what you do, is going to want to shoot at you.
[23.05.2018 02:47:30] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They have no just cause or reason for it.
[23.05.2018 02:47:41] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Some people just like shedding blood for the sake of it.
[23.05.2018 02:48:24] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: True. My job is reducing that.
[23.05.2018 02:48:51] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Complete peace is clearly not possible. Adequate safety is.
[23.05.2018 02:50:14] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We'll never stop fighting ourselves.
[23.05.2018 02:50:17] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: It's our nature.
[23.05.2018 02:50:58] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Part of our job as preservationists is to make sure there's a sturdy foundation to rebuild from when we inevitably have to-
[23.05.2018 02:51:10] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: - flee after some other, stupid historic war.
[23.05.2018 02:51:29] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We just have to face the music: People suck.
[23.05.2018 02:53:01] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Thankfully, there are groups interested in peace. Not as many as I'd like, of course.
[23.05.2018 02:53:43] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Peace is hard to come by. We happened to encounter some Order operatives today.
[23.05.2018 02:53:53] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: We had them totally outgunned and outnumbered.
[23.05.2018 02:53:57] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: But we let them live.
[23.05.2018 02:54:12] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They turned over whatever materials they had on them, and we went on our way.
[23.05.2018 02:54:27] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Now normally Raven and I prefer to not leave anyone around to potentially bother us in the future.
[23.05.2018 02:54:36] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: But they were compliant and willing to work with us.
[23.05.2018 02:55:06] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: A mercy I don't expect them to extend to your own pilots. But that is what the beacons are for, I suppose.
[23.05.2018 02:55:28] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Alternatively we can reverse the theory.
[23.05.2018 02:55:34] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Just jump the enemy somewhere else.
[23.05.2018 02:56:19] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: An interesting notion. The Zoners might be interested in it as non-lethal deterrence.
[23.05.2018 02:56:40] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Funnily enough, they employed it and taught us how.
[23.05.2018 02:57:00] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Interesting. I'd thought that lot had forgotten innovation.
[23.05.2018 02:57:26] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: I have no issues with the Zoners personally, but they seem prone to complacency.
[23.05.2018 02:58:44] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: They needed to think fast. The Order was attacking the Freeport.
[23.05.2018 02:58:58] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: It all seems to come back to that, doesn't it?
[23.05.2018 02:59:39] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: My money was on Freeport 9 being the first to fall, but 11 seems more likely at this point.
[23.05.2018 02:59:59] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Nah, 9 was easy to defend.
[23.05.2018 03:00:08] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Us and the Hessians fought off the entire Core fleet.
[23.05.2018 03:00:31] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: I had expected Corsair expansion to target Freeport 9 before the Core or Order had an invasion plan
[23.05.2018 03:01:12] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Clearly that hasn't panned out. We need to investigate Corsair movements more.
[23.05.2018 03:01:32] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: their homeworld is as far from here as you'll likely get, but their operations in Bretonia concern us.
[23.05.2018 03:03:53] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: *beep beep bip beep beep bip* Hm?
[23.05.2018 03:04:09] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: Interesting. There's been something on the station I need to deal with.
[23.05.2018 03:04:13] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I see.
[23.05.2018 03:04:18] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: Farewell then, I suppose.
[23.05.2018 03:04:21] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: L: I'll be returning home.
[23.05.2018 03:04:42] NO-OCS-Save.Yourself: I'll pass along your information to the Commission and Minister Kane.

Good day, old chaps!
Today, while moving Liberty Ale from Manhattan to Denver, we had a run-in with a Xeno pilot named William Kidd that did a fair bit of damage to our ship. He wasn't much on conversation, but what was clear was a demand to drop our cargo. During my time with Bowex, I'd had a number of encounters with Xenos, and I didn't trust this one to not kill us anyway, even if we jettisoned our cargo. So, we naturally ran. After a bit of a running firefight and a number of disrupted attempts to cruise, we managed to get some distance and get away from him. Fortunately, he had the good sense to give up the pursuit once we were out of disruptor range. I'm sure we could've gotten to port ahead of him, but I'm glad we didn't have to take the chance. By the time we escaped, we had exhausted our supply of nanobots and shield batteries, and our hull was breached in several places. We are now safe at Planet Denver's primary spaceport. We will be heading north out of Liberty as soon as our damage is repaired and our cargo is safely stowed.
Our damage control teams did a wonderful job keeping us together long enough to escape. Particular mention must be given to Fourth Engineer Rory McAlister and Ordinary Crewman Michael Riley. A fire broke out in the lower decks, and these fine gentlemen risked their lives to prevent it from spreading to the fuel pods. We all owe them our lives. Both of them will receive a substantial bonus, and Michael Riley will be promoted to Able Crewman at the first available opportunity.
[23.05.2018 14:32:03] William,Kid.: well
[23.05.2018 14:32:05] NO-Aluminum.Falcon: Ahoy there! This is Captain Riley of the independent Octavarium transport Aluminum Falcon. How can I help you?
[23.05.2018 14:32:07] William,Kid.: time to smahs the bastards
[23.05.2018 14:32:15] William,Kid.: Drop the cargo
[23.05.2018 14:32:25] NO-Aluminum.Falcon: How about no?
[23.05.2018 14:33:02] William,Kid.: you are so dead now
[23.05.2018 14:33:18] NO-Aluminum.Falcon: That seems a bit like much, doesn't it?
[23.05.2018 14:34:32] William,Kid.: muahhaha i will cut you to peaces
[23.05.2018 14:34:53] William,Kid.: your souls is mine
[23.05.2018 14:35:11] William,Kid.: hell now
[23.05.2018 14:35:13] William,Kid.: go on

Good day, Minister!
We accept the offered trade contract. All necessary shipyard repairs are almost complete on the Aluminum Falcon. Anything that remains can be completed by our own crew en route. We're picking up a load of pharmaceuticals bound for Cold Bay. From there, we'll pick up the filters as requested. I will be in contact when the requested two loads have been delivered.
