In rules 3.6 Attacking without Roleplay. Players must be given reasonable time to react to hostilities.
3.7 Attack first by draining the shield down to 50% ... So does using Jump Drive resulting in shield failure for both ships count as attacking and the 3.6 is explained in this..
About 7:20 UTC Aug 12th I was in my Dunkirk BS 2k below Planet New London looking up when I saw a Molly destroyer take the trade lane to Cambridge Jump Gate. I followed and went into Cambridge and sat where I materialized after the gate jump considering the most likely route that Molly personnel usually take since there was no way to catch up to him via trade lanes. So I set jump coords to Omega 3 and started charging the JD 4 and typed "/jump" in the Console waiting for charge to complete.
As it was charging a trader came out of the trade lanes heading for New London with his cargo and we did a standard greeting to each other and he goes through the Jump gate. Within seconds the Molly destroyer I was pursuing comes out of the trade lane heading towards the jump gate (in pursuit of trader I assumed ) and as I moved forward to RP with the Molly destroyer and before I began typing to RP, he gets stuck in the gate as it closed and I pulled in right behind him watching as he struggle to get free (like a fat cat stuck in an opening too small for its mid section) as my jump drive was nearly charged.Right when he freed himself by wiggling and backing up, his ship froze from motion as if he finally noticed me.
Then I hit enter key and initiated the jump to Omega 3 to put distance from the trader that I assumed he was pursuing. This of course took both our shields down and I typed "Having a bad day?" and his reply was something like "Ye think ye funny do ya?" I scanned his ship and ordered him to drop his cargo ( he had Bret Lawfuls in his hold as well as about 400+ units of Gold Ore). He said "Ye'll get the Brets but ye'll not get me Gold." then he jettisoned the Bret personnel and i told him "The Gold Ore as well" and he called me a thief and I informed him that I was going destroy the Ore as contraband and to drop it. I did not have time for the Bret Law codes in section 4 and the fines because he decided to run and I fired on him as I was lmao at the initial situation and his attempted use of old (King James style) English and I did not chase him. I wish I videoed this cause it was a hilarious situation and RP. I also left the Molly chars name and tag out so as not to cause him ingame embarrassment amongst his faction. So does this situational use of jump drive fit 3.6 & 3.7 is my question.
Yes, jumping peoples against their will is attack, and you need give to him 2 lines with response time first. Sure there were even multiple green response about considering jumping as attack. And sanctions for not fulfilling engagement requirements as well. link on green

I read through the rules and found nothing concerning situations like this. Only the shield at 50% or less. Even if I did not move from where I was at he would have jumped with me for he was that close. No shots were fired until he chose to run after a few minutes of RP back and forth. My ID BAF and His shields were at full when the shooting started and his ID was Molly which was red to mine. Both covered in the link you posted.

One more thing to add. This happened in both our ZOI with his char the Unlawful faction and my char the Lawful faction and my jump drive was already at 50- 60% charged when he showed up and got stuck in the jump gate. I stress that NO weps fire took place until shields were full and clear RP was done. I did not use JD as a planned trap outside of my ID and ZOI as your link showed that they did. It just happened that way do to him coming to where I was already at. For me it was like Christmas showed up with a wrapped Molly gift.
You really should because that text is hard to read without paragraphs.
I went to change it for everyone that views this post and how I typed it out wasn't coming out in preview as I typed it in console. This is the best I came out with. Looks like I need some practice on legible posting at this site. Side note: This is the first site that interested me enough to join and interact with in Forums outside of Youtube. I will try to post better.
I was the Molly you pursued that day. I actually remember you blocking the gate while i was in docking sequence.. Still, it was a good interaction and you followed it up well after you jumped me.
Oh.. and one more thing.. TE MOLLY DOES'NE GIVE UP THA GOLD, EH
