Supposedly dead Crayterian now-Schrodinger Admiral Xander using a ship that was allegedly first disabled by Hessian Jormungand, then recaptured by CIS and is currently in the process of being stripped down of experimental tech at Sabah - a place fair bit away from the frontline, magically re-appears in Omega 3 to jump entire Bretonian fleet to Aland just in time for tea and crumpets. It does smell that IMG had no say of the matter and IMG's failure was set up by devs in advance rather than give both sides meaningful decisions to make. We were just talking about how seemingly interactive, player-driven experiences such as Freeport 11 and Aland are attractive to the players but now it has turned yet into another rail-driven Kusari-Rheinland and Gallic war of conquest space call of duty mashup.
There's a lot about this entire situation that isn't good and not okay. The Discovery I was playing about 12 hours ago became a totally different universe, where a dreadnought magically appeared to save the day with little to no opposition or consideration for the efforts and resistance on the matter. This is obviously just their version of a Star Trek Parallel universe.
But hey. We're players and they're the Kingdom of Devtonia.
If things already happen this way, atleast make BAF sacrifice a Carrier for it. Let the Olympia be, the first story change of it was the re-capturing by CIS, should remain to be the legit one.
I am still bothered by the usage of a JD action in canon lore but ehh...
What about ALG? There was nothing, hell it seemed RM may actually on purpose ignore ALG so they dont have to worry about interfering in Omegas themselves.
Now entire hell broke loose, with no announcements from either ALG or Rheinland government concerning said criminal investigations. In light of the recent developments, it does appear to me that the only people privy to what will happen are devs and perhaps very very tiny group of people in some obscure discord chat close to the devs. Of course, this now here is just speculation and could be unrelated.
The inconsistencies about this story will be there, and pretty much any individual is capable of noticing them without even having a keen eye.
Even despite the IMG| have been, to a degree, ready for that - however, the speed at which the whole situation have escalated and what have been used in "legitimately" taking over Aland is just beyond my comprehension.
Not that we expect any of the developers to clarify these inconsistencies.
Peace, being the distant dream it is, comes inevitably, and goes hand in hand with justice.
Cursed be the war.
Good point actually, Lyth. It could have been Core, BAF themselves. The communication mistake done here can be fixed and must be fixed if you ask me. Regarding the two major points, yeah it is disappointing things ended so quickly but in light of the Gallic War's Final Arc, I believe things were forcefully pushed not to prolong this conflict for more months. ALG's thing.. yeah that is confusing.. Rheinland Bundestag more or less permitted them to do but denied involvement.. oh well, poor Rheinland and Bretonia, going to drown in their own waste sooner or later.
