Look, we just had a massive staff change, I can see how things might not be operating at 100% efficiency yet. But this story turn doesn't make any sense.
1. IMG had countermeasures in place, rather destroying their own station then letting it be captured.
2. The Olympia was wrecked/captured and taken away, a turn of events that sparked many conversations about what would happen to it.
3. The Olympia's captain was dead, his corpse found at the wreck, again sparking a lot of conversations and rp.
4. IMG had a large fleet of ships behind it; RHA, ALG, XA, Order, Coalition, not to mention freelancers and smaller groups that joined in.
5. IMG itself also had a fleet of ships and a very strong defensive position.
6. Bretonia had to use ships that it could spare while also fighting on other fronts.
With so much rp, and so many fights all involved in this scenario, who thought it was a good idea to go about this in this way?
And what now? We're all expected to go along with it? This has killed the rp of several people,
If players truely have no influence in how any of this plays out, could a dev then please just confirm that so we all know that what we do doesn't matter?
Hell freezes when anything when two out of these three agree on to anything without any "but": Golanski, Lyth, Auxesia.
Creation of a new chaos god ensues when all three together agree on to something. You know things went bad. This patch should had been retconned until things clear out, are fixed and are explained to the community in a reasonable terms.

The IMG Forces weren't a handful of Battlecruisers and untrained civilians, either. The IMG has built its existence in combating pirates like the Outcasts on a day to day basis. It would be idiotic to assume there wasn't some form of regimented training. They were also in possession of a Carrier - The Comoros. Which would equate the fleet size to be the same - if not greater thanks to allied forces - than the Norfolk Battlegroup of 1,600 (?).
This move was done without taking into consideration every variable. It was bull-rushed.

Seriously though. It's a sad day in Discovery history when the three people who disagree on almost everything agree on something.
If we get into x side should have won because of numbers, we're going to sully this even more. Whilst there are obvious power differences between the sides, the story could have been told via a progression of structured events giving the players equally opportunities to push the objectives of their respective sides.

Order participated in several of the fights, as well as being in the defensive line during the peace negotiations yesterday.
XA and Coalition you'll have to dig through the coms channels to see them declaring their assistance. Alternatively, you could ask someone from IMG.
And that is the best example of miscommunication. =CR= leadersh,p or at least I, could be informed like a week before so we could do a more consistent RP with what was planned. Yes, =CR= leadersh,p put a request to canonize Olympia. However it could be done better definitely.
