Further to our conversation earlier. As you are in Freeport space, I can accept your ship being here. Should anyone in Core request that you leave, please let them know that you have my permission to be in Freeport space ONLY until they have decreed otherwise.

I will speak to Core regarding your allowance into shared space. As far as I see it, we need all the co-operation we can against the ever encroaching Nomad threat in the system. As far as understanding the situation, I can get one of the Velvet team to brief you up.

Greetings! Thank you for including me in this operation, Melissa, I was curious about this ship ever since it showed up on our scanners.
Commander Mario of Crayter Fleet Vessel Iguassu, I am Velvet White, Head of Reconnaissance of the Velvet Wing: I am responsible for the eyes and ears that spot out them squids before they even have a chance of attacking any ships within the vicinity of our station. It's a great honour to meet you, but let's get straight to business.

In recent months, Freeport 11 and its inhabitants have had a bad history of being stalked by several Nomad vessels at an alarming rate. We can't always count on the Core or the Order to clean up the squids, which led to the creation of our wing here. The most common types of alien vessels are... What you could call "Nomad Cruisers", given their size and power, though we've spotted much bigger vessels and swarms of smaller ones.

Some uncanny groups have taken notice and actively harrass/disable our ships, like the Commune. Those wackos appear to worship the darned things and don't stop at anything in order to make our lives a living hell. The cultist problem isn't just limited to the Commune: vessels like the "RV-Pennybrooke" and others seem to attract Nomads like they're tamed lions in order to unleash havoc.

For the record, Velvet's operations that involve Nomads are limited to their destruction. We don't deal in alien equipment or artifacts, and don't take sides in the Order/Core conflict.

As far as Nomad behaviour goes, they usually pour out of the Palau Ice Cloud and from the Omicron Lost Jump Hole. We have specific vectors in order to intercept and engage the vessels before they become a threat to Freeport space.

Thanks for your quick answers and thanks for bringing me up to speed on the situation with the freeport.
But I'm in kind of a pickle with the permission from the Core to stay in the sector.
I will be staying at the freeport for the time that my status is not resolved.
If you can talk to the Core on my behalf to tell them I'm not a threat to the status quo in the Omicrons but if it should not come to pass that I stay with the FV-Iguassu I will still spare a snubcraft to stay at the station and help with the situation as much as it can.
