+1, I follow the example of our Level 99 PoB Master.
On a sidenote, I heard Core was hesitating to show up at all first, I guess kudos for appearing at the end, trying to spice things up or so.
if you were flying around in the omicrons with 150 mill worth of [cargo]* only when you know core are around is just a bait - for any faction - and whoever in core engaged only indulged you of making your point. sadly you could do the same to pretty much any faction with engagement rights
congrats core are bad guys. too bad this was only made possible by someone who openly showed how much they hate the faction

Well, an attempt was made to put effort into the engagement notice.

Exactly, Uncharted is a place where anything goes. You should be watching your back, for everyone. Hell, Corsairs were already shooting at a BDM Gunboat and said they were planning to start shooting Core later as well (and let's not pretend everyone wouldn't just shoot Core first).
If Ice feels wronged by this encounter, then I apologise. As other people have said, anyone could have engaged you (immediately). Our intention was to just spice things up and make things more interesting, as it looked like the other factions had cold feet. Ultimately I feel like Vamp played his role as a Core pilot fine.
I have discussed and cleared things up with Ice over Discord.

Order| lead had Ordered (hah) several times not to engage Core and to focus on the squids, that is, untill Core started shooting at humans instead. The Sairs, while occasionally attacking the BDM ship did not focus it exclusively (with their numbers I'm fairly confident it would've gone down extremely easily if they did, not to mention I saw them all 'docked' close together at the station when any of them could've decided this was the time to blow it up. While I cannot say if they would've engaged later on or not I do think that it was unneeded for Core to 'spice things up'. I hope that Core at least had fun with their actions, because it did sully mine near the end. (Though getting lost in the system looking for an exit wasn't fun either xD). My feedback would be to let staff created events play out as they're made so everyone can have fun. Save the player twists for our own (player) made events.
It sucks that a large amount of money was lost, but the Core characters acted in a manner which I would expect them too in that situation. Don't let this one action at the end of the event ruin your day.
