This is rudimentary, but I did a sample test on Old Trafford. Just working out the construction time and RA usage. This is based on a 1 hour sample. Core 1 level, 200 crew.
Consumption is 360 RA per hour. 8640 RA per day.
331200 HP per hour. Approximately 8,000,000/day
Based on this consumption, it would take 25 days go from 400,000,000 base HP to 600,000,000. Can anyone confirm this?
This does not consider the costs of FOW, nor using both/or Robotic Hardware or Hull segments which used simultaneously would add to construction speed.
This is why picking your locations carefully is important. If you were next to a station that sold 1-3 of your basic POB needs, this would save you days - that's why people build bases outside Manhattan and New London etc.

That is true, although not so critical for construction the POB. So long as you keep ahead of the consumption you are OK. Module construction is a different matter as the speed to build is still fast and being close to a supply beneficial. Core upgrades as well.

Modules use up consumables much faster than building up base hit points. I am just talking about hit points.
Based on the maths, unless I have something seriously wrong, it would take 25 days to increase the HP of a core 1 base to a core 2 full health (200,000,000 / 8,000,000 = 25 days).
This would require 216,000 units of RA costing 54,000,000 SC. 44 trips with a 5000 cargo transport.
I have just done another check. This time it was consumption of RA and 400 crew in one timed hour.
Consumption of RA was double, and the amount of hit points added was double. I think this may well be due to increased crew. I wonder what would happen if you increased the number of crew to 800 even if it was a core two base.
