How have you been since The Fall of the Kingdom? I haven't heard about any of former La Marine except for Guy. I just wanted to know how are you and what exactly happened, you know I wasn't really present during the London offensive and following events, as I had a special task outside of our borders.
Sender: Commandant Pierre Vaillant Recipient: Lauren Charlotte La'Row Subject: Bonjour bonjour
Dear Charlotte...
I have to say I didn't expect to receive such message. As you can see I am obviously still alive. Still Commandant of la Marine as well.
Many things have happened since the battle of New London. You obviously have heard the glassing of Leeds and the fall of the Kingdom so I am not going to detail.
When the Allied took back Leeds not without suffering heavy losses, la Marine retreated with most of the Gallic Royal Navy remnants in the Hebrides. La Marine, shocked by the glassing of Leeds and loyal in serving Gallia decided to go back Home.
However our former friends, those who are loyal to the King, -yet a vacant King- didn't hesitate to attack and kill hundred of our proud men. The global damage were insignifiant, and la Marine managed to reach Gallia with a great part of her forces. La Marine Royale became la Marine Nationale serving now the Duchy of Burgundy and Gallia.
I told you the outlines. I noticed your transmission comes from Hebrides space, tell me what are you doing there?
Sincèrement
Marine Nationale Gauloise, Commandant Pierre Vaillant.
I am glad at least somebody made it out alive. I am also glad you remained in your position, however there is something I have to ask from you. Have a much do you trust me even if my message is relayed from Hebrides?
I've already been to Gallia after the fall and I can see some differences but also I could see something very close and personal to me without any difference even under new regime. I need to change it but I doubt current regime is able to do that to my satisfaction. How could it, it was made by murderers and barbarians. There is something nobody knew about me and this one thing forced me to choose the exile instead of The Council driven regime.
Sender: Commandant Pierre Vaillant Recipient: Lauren Charlotte La'Row Subject: Re-bonjour
Dear Charlotte,
Suspicious is the word. Oui, that is how we are supposed to react now when we receive something from the Hebrides. The Enclave still represent an existential threat for the Confederation. Should I get you're affilated with the Enclave, La'Row ? Don't be afraid to tell me the truth. I always find out.
I am living when I can in the Grand Duchy of Burgundy. I am constantly on the frontlines. Don't think I am complaining though. To be honest, life in the Duchy isn't so different than the old Kingdom times. However, I don't know for the Minarchy nor the République. With the arrival of the Conseillards, the wine certainly has a lower quality than it used to be.

I am not really afraid, I am with the Enclave et people loyal to our Roi et DeFrance family. As I've said already, the current regime in Gallia is against my standards et I am not going to follow somebody who had murdered and lynched a huge part of my family.
This is my reason, Pierre. Glassing of the planet was a poor choice and to this day it's not confirmed who stood behind the order. But look at it from the other side, from my point of view. If the economical heart of Bretonia wasn't destroyed, do you think the war machine would stop them there? Wouldn't they continue to Taus And Gallia itself? Just to conquer what could be conquered? Before you ask about why I think Bretonia wouldn't stop, look at the history, we stormed Taus when Bretonia and Kusari were clashing for power over Taus.
We've got time, for the great cost of millions dead. That's something I am not proud of but I also can see the reasoning behind it.
Just don't think that I am trying to bring you to our side, I am not. I just wanted to state my reasons why I picked the Enclave over that fake government you are serving under now. Sooner or later, Republic, Monarchy or Duchy will strive for power and it will result to violations.
Sender: Commandant Pierre Vaillant Recipient: Lauren Charlotte La'Row Subject: Très bien.
Bonjour Charlotte,
This is not the first time I hear such speach. I still meet people who speak about the same topic but yet with different motivations. You decided to stay with the Enclave, fair enough. I don't really mind. You have your own and personal reasons. So do I.
You didn't taught me anything about the glassing of Leeds. That is indeed the reality. The strategy de la "Terre Brûlée" -scorched earth- worked and certainly prevented any further move of the Allies in the Taus. Maybe even Gallia. But at what cost ? Billions people dead. But right now, this is a debate for the historians. For Gallia, it is the past. Though the real question is to know if the past really disappear once we lived it.
You know I am taking great risks by speaking with you currentIy. If the État Major de la Marine finds out, my military career will certainly be over. But I am very more crafty that they may think. Only my will guides me and this is how I live.
On the other hand, you are in a risky situation at some point. I am pretty sure I am considered as a traitor within the Enclave and perhaps one of your priority target. So why did you contact me while perfectly being aware I am a traitor ? Is it some kind of evil plot? Did let your feelings take over your respect of the "laws" that decide the choice of life or death?
I am impatient to hear the actual reasons behind this.

Billions of dead Bretonians and few of Gallic soldiers sacrificed for billions of living people and civilans in Gallia. That's acceptable, we are after all sworn to protect our people and this was the move which secured it perfectly. As I say, it's a tragedy and it should never happen again.
It may be just a past, a history you would like to forget, however if you forget the history, you cannot prevent it from happening again. So remember it and do not throw it away.
I am not really at risk here, it's just my personal communication with one of my former colleagues. There is something you don't know about me and this crucial thing unknown to you may save your life if you get captured or when we return back to power.
I am willing to save you in such case. If you want though, but nothing is for free. You've got my respect as we fought together against the enemy, just think about your life.
Contact me if you decide to accept my insurance of your life, I don't need much from you in return. However I won't spoil things unless you display interest.
Sender: Commandant Pierre Vaillant Recipient: Lauren Charlotte La'Row Subject: You are a magician?
Dear Charlotte,
So you are acting on your own ? Interesting. I figured out you could be a magician after your last message.
I clearly wonder what you could even do to save my life if I get captured. They know who I am. I am way too dangerous for them. If my ship get disabled, then it is likely they'd make no prisoner.
But who knows ? Perhaps your words just proved the contrary after all ?
I keep that in mind anyway. I haven't fought the Enclave so much since the Marine left the Hebrides. I am on other concerns. So tell me, how the things are going within the Enclave ? Do they remember me at least ?

Marine Nationale Gauloise, Commandant Pierre Vaillant.
Names are irrelevant, unless the bearer of the name holds power or is way too dangerous. I wouldn't say you are as known as you used to be during the siege of London. I do remember and know you, Pierre. If I hadn't, we wouldn't be talking right now.
I am not even sure why I would spoil my tactics, I have one and only. Thing is, we are standing on the opposite side of this conflict now, so sharing details with you might be a little tricky. It's not like I don't want to say it, it's about how you could use it against me. Being cautious is matter of survival, am I right Pierre?
I can give you a hint anyway, my name means something and it will be well known if we return back to power.
I see your signal is coming from Omicrons, is it an error of your transmitter or are you in Delta? I could give you a hand if you are lost. Perks of being in ONI, oui?
Sender: Commandant Pierre Vaillant Recipient: Lauren Charlotte La'Row Subject: Oui precisely.
Dear Charlotte,
My signal was indeed coming from Omicron Delta. Don't judgethe book by it's cover though. A Gallic in the Omicrons doesn't mean he's lost. I have my own reasons to be there.
The battle of New London. A great moment isn't it. The Chant du Cygne. This doesn't surprise me. I wonder how my former friends would react if they had to face me. Perhaps I should give them visit.
Of course, a magician must keep secret his tactics otherwise it would only be a waste of time. Your name means something for sure. I have a proposition. Once you're back to power, like you said, organize a circus in Ile de France with the officers of the Enclave. What a better opportunity to show me your magician powers?
