UDF Message to every Rheinland Political Party [open for replies]

Our House is facing one of the gravest crisis in its history.

The fascists of the Imperial Party are cheering the Bretonian ruling class for violating the Snowdown Treaty with our House, disrespecting us on the international stage and making us look like a weak and feeble House, unable to protect its interests.

How much could you hate your own people in order to support a foreign ruling class? This is the state of Rheinland's Imperial Party now. In their quest to secure more power they are not afraid to politically ally with foreign elements, leak sensitive diplomatic cables, and when they have to face justice they are hiding behind their MP immunity. The Chancellor did the right thing when she decided to annul the violated Snowdown Treaty but it is not enough.

Rugen Station in Omega-3 has been one of the most significant DHC assets for decades now. If we do as the Imperial Party demands and recognize Omega-3 as a Bretonian sovereign system, then there is nothing that can stop the Bretonian War Cabinet from nationalizing Rugen Station. It will be 100% legal.

And what of the Bretonian ruling class?

The Parliament introduced the 'Swords into Ploughshares' motion in order to alleviate their post-war crisis but the War Cabinet killed it immediately. These people are intent to retain their emergency powers indefinitely instead of returning them back to the Parliament. The high lords of Bretonia will now rule forever and the common people of Bretonia have no say in this.

That is why the people of Rheinland must stay vigilant. That is why I keep repeating this is a grave time in our history. If the fascists of the Imperial Party are elected into government, they will follow Bretonia's textbook case and overthrow our Bundesrepublik.

The time of action is now in order to contain the threat from both within and outside the borders. They are ruthless and they are willing to do anything in their power to succeed. Tonight in the Bundestag session I am going to introduce two emergency motions:

1. An emergency spending bill, authorizing the construction of a Rheinland Military outpost in Omega-3 for the purposes of securing Rugen Station and the Omega-7 Jump Gate from a possible Bretonian blockade.
   
   
2. The immunity withdrawal of MP from Hamburg sector, Linus VonClaussen, in order to face charges by Rheinland's independent courts.

My friends, you know better than everyone that when the democratic institutions of our Republik are threatened our people will rally and defend what is the most precious thing in this world; our Freedom, our Independence. This is our message as the United Democratic Foundation.

Naturally any threat to the current order will be condemned as extremist, irrational and a threat to stability. It is the unsurprising that the so called United Democratic Foundation would attack another House instead of admit it's own faults. Unsurprising that it would pass blame to everyone else, yet forget that it was the actions of people and so called 'leaders' such as themselves that have led Rheinland to this point.

What Bretonia does within her own borders is not our concern, our concern should be the welfare of our own people, a fact that the current Federal Government seemed to have forgotten. While they rant against actions of another house, actions that took place many months ago, crime, disorder and discontent grow in Rheinland.

And what does the UDF propose? Nothing short of an invasion of another house and the silencing of an open critic of the federal government. Has this House not already fought three wars within the last 30 years? Have we not just ended one war? What is to be gained? The preservation of an organisation that openly and willingly allies itself with our mortal enemies, the IMG are by no means a helpless, innocent victim. Why would we criticize the actions of a desperate nation? How can we? What is to be gained? Nothing, the loss of an ally that would render us isolated.

The Imperial Party of Rheinland categorically rejects the proposals of the United Democratic Foundation, and any claims of 'fascism'. To observe those responsible for the current crisis, look to the Federal Republic, For those responsible for the criminally neglected state of Rheinland, look to the Federal Government who for years has been subject to corporate bribery and mismanagement on an industrial scale.

Those who claim to represent 'democracy' would send this house into another war, as they have done three times before. They would see nothing done about the rampant corruption that plagues our streets. They would keep Rheinland low, and do nothing to alleviate her suffering.

Citizens of Rheinland,

witness the hypocrisy of this government firsthand. The UDF resorts to labels and attempts to smear our party as "fascist". Yet at the same time they want to prosecute a fearless and brave whistleblower whose only crime is that he has exposed the corruption of this regime and who strives to prevent yet another disastrous war. I ask you, who is the fascist here. It is clearly not our party.

The Imperial party will unanimously vote against the motion to withdraw the immunity of Herr Linus VonClaussen. Such immunity exists exactly for this purpose. To shield MPs from political vendettas orchestrated by the executive power. This government lacks arguments and legitimacy and therefore it resorts to political repression. How ironic, considering they plan to allow the Bundschuh terrorists walk free under the guise of political freedoms. Such freedoms are seemingly only available to those who stand with the Chancellor.

As for Rugen, as the Generaldirektor of Daumann, I have to say it is truly moving to see the government show concern at last. After years when our corporation has been left to its own in the Omegas against the Hessian and other threats. After years of pleading for more support. Suddenly this government realizes the importance of the Omegas and Rugen itself for the Rheinland.

However, what Daumann and Rheinland as a whole need, is less not more enemies. We refuse to be used as a pawn in the war this Kabinett is scheming. We refuse to be yet another casualty in the desperate and losing fight of this government to stay in power at all costs.

Rugen is secure at the moment due to the valiant effort of our security division. It will not be secure if this government chooses to engage in yet another pointless war which will cost thousands of lives of our brothers, sisters, sons and daughters.

Linus didn't appear to have an expression of anger. He delighted in the challenge. He was struggling to repress himself. As of several weeks ago we ran together in a referendum that would define our times. A joint bid between the market liberals and the reconstructionists that put aside our adversarial policy dispositions in a fellowship aimed at forging a better Rheinland against the well documented, drudging malpractice of the Federal parties. We did so out of a certainty that there was a more important goal than the political horsetrade – we live in a time of crisis. We live in a time where personal power is less critical than improving the health of our house – a homeland whose people have suffered from decades of neglect, a homeland never truly reconstructed after the abominations of the Eighty Years War, and the Eighth Century War, that has scarred Rheinland’s homes for every year since. Our lives and hearts are polarised by the strain imposed upon us, from the loans that scar us, and the adversarial nature of our necrocracy. Acts of short-term expedience have become the order of the day. Through generations of cynicism, the people have lost faith – in institutions, in the value of money, and in one another. Families have been divided by policy. The premise of the Von Rohe’s day never forged a constitutional enlightenment, nor did the reconstruction of era of Schulte relive the promise of growth, employment, and a future for our children offered by a re-enactment of the Rheinland Golden Age.

These are universal truths, Fiona. The United Democrats ran upon this position, just as we have ourselves. They are objective truths. You share the same reality we do, after all.

Yet we cannot be selective in our cognisance. Nor can we strong-arm the plutocracy to bend truth to compliance, when enmity comes between aspiration and representation. In short, Fiona, politics becomes a cruel and byzantine concern when politicians project their own uncompromising acts upon their adversaries. It is one of the oldest tools in the annals of the corrupt; accuse your adversary of that which you commit yourself. Chancellor Niemann, following his subversion by the alien nemesis, behaved precisely along these lines. Do you not recall the diatribes Niemenn levied at Jien Kogen, declaring Kusari to be engaging in espionage against the Republic? Do you not remember how effectively Rheinland was rallied into wars of folly in Liberty, in Kusari, and in Bretonia – the first, and terminal violation of the Boorman Treaty that created the precedent for the Libertonian invasion?

Now, you accuse us of Fascism. Manichaean language, built upon a desire to bend the polity to fall in line – to craft conformity. Us, verses them! Good, verses evil! You cast yourselves as the underdog, grappling against tyrants. These are all lies, of course. You have grown poverty across the house and done nothing to save refugees on Numremburg - no. Instead, you ally yourselves with the Bundschuh in an attempt to claim credit from terrorists. You work with the Intelligence Department to overthrow the security of the electoral process.

That is fascism. In its unalloyed and pure form. You use the term as an insult, Fiona, an adjective to be tied to a concept you would see quashed. No – fascism is a living and terrifying concept. A capture of the state by the defence apparatus. A subordination of institutions of credit and dependency over the needs of the people, be they of any class. The raising of a political monolith - a flag – an anthem – a series of buzzwords, over the lives of the people the flag would claim to represent. You would have your political enemies arrested, despite the fact that whistle-blowers who report federal crimes are protected by the laws of the Republic.

You are a fascist.

The BDM declared itself against the will of the people by fiat, in order to expunge elements of the state that unelected beurocrats saw as undesirable, during the GMG war. They then used their martial power to escape prosecution in the courts.

They are fascists.
Extremist organisations who made no compromise with the state nor the people, who indulge in political assassination, have been championed as heroes. The elevation of the Bundschuh to the only heroes of the people, ignoring the depth and scope of their needs.

The hero-worship of fascism.


You claim that your enemies have caused Rheinland to be enfeebled, ascribing the nation itself – not any corrupting influence nor specific malpractice - as crippled and in need of salvation. By yourself.

The strongman subordination of a fascist.


The manufactured rhetoric of a ‘foreign threat’ to justify a demonisation of domestic groups who did not vote for the UDF during the most recent electoral process. You would criminalise and ostracise those who voted for the momentous plurality that the Imperial party enjoyed within the recent electoral cycle. We gained more votes than any one individual federal party – a moment that has never before occurred within the history of the Federal Republic. Are we your enemy for this achievement? For creating a message that resigns with the public? For running an issues-based campaign? For a documented history of policy success within Hamburg, that has lead to the re-election and elevation of our party in constituencies throughout Rheinland?

We are all in this together, Fiona. Your party may have compromised its own ideals with the Federal Conservatives to gain an influence over the Neumann administration, but your majority is paper-thin. You have already dashed federal law upon the rocks, and your support is in turmoil.


By racing a legalisation of the Bundschuh through the Chancellor’s Office, you have abused the same emergency powers Chancellor Neumann promised to dissolve following the end of Schulte’s tenure. The Chancellory was not notified, nor was the proposition put to a vote within the Senate. You have made a mockery of democracy by restricting the passage of laws that impact the lives of over twenty billion Rheinlanders in the confines of a quorum of ten UDF party insiders.

My God, Fiona. You are about to start a war in hopes of ignoring the voices in the streets. Think upon how history will remember you. Think upon the people – upon the house that you would set ablaze.


The Rheinland Federal senate and provincial Chancellory majorities represented by the Imperial Party oppose any furthering of emergency motions raised by the Federal Party. We mandate an immediate investigation into federal overreach as mandated by the terms of the referendum – a referendum that the UPF swore to uphold by voting with the Imperial Party during the passage of the bill. We will use our majority to veto any enshrinement of unauthorised spending bills, black-channel communications sent through the foreign affairs department, or any desecration of Rheinland Federal Law, by the UPF-CFP government.

We expect these measures to pass with the full vote of Imperial Party MPs.


I note that the most ferocious dictatorships in Earth’s history felt the need to coat themselves with the name ‘Democratic’. The wolf forever disguises himself as the sheep. You have minimal Unity with the Federals you have banded yourself with - for they are simply using you to cling to power. You are not democratic, since you have consistently used your emergency powers to struggle proclamations, ultimatums, and threats to our foreign and domestic policy through, in rampant discregard for any checks and balances on your marginal electoral power. In a democratic system, the imperials would be in power, to the tune of one and a half billion votes - for you are outnumbered in both popular support and in senatorial seats. Instead, you are attempting to doctor a war and abuse the Federal court system to pursue a deeply unpopular Manchurian deception. "
