Can you lock the thread pls
When organisers break tradition and can't even bother to spend 5 minutes on coming up with forum titles to remember all that effort by and proper event thread end post.
At least stop rubbing the salt in the wound and let us move on.
I miss Jammi (pre disappearance) and Ramke's handling of these :/

I would also like to note that rewards are determined before the event, not after.
Hey all! I did not participate in this event. But if those statements are true, then why I got a title for completing the Götterdämmerung trade event?
I cannot find a word about post-completion rewards in the details. Yet, we got this Reward Thread posted after the Event.
Guys chill. This was a pilot scale event made for fun by hobbyists. The event team learned a lot from trying out this format.
That being said - at no point was there any reward scheme beyond the direct bounty/commodity rewards and plot development posted, hinted at, insinuated, implied, or otherwise stated.
The coming evens will be more structured with more rewards baked in 8|

I have no clue why this keeps being mentioned - it never was for any event, yet there always was something unless the organizer left with scores, or people didn't show up for it.
Let's not make it like it was poor planning or anything. That has nothing to do with this. Even now all it takes is for any one staff member spending a couple minutes on coming up with forum titles for this one, or hand out random 50 sci-data for top PvPers, or anything else. That's why it's so tilting, nobody will even bother to do that little thing...For a story influenced event that should be way MORE likely to give titles than random predetermined brawl with no story impact.
Anyway, whinging aside, the correct feedback for the event is that first and foremost, the ability to score trade points must be restricted to the involved IDs the same way the pvp bonus is. Otherwise, you can crash the event on a non-event ID, which is what happened on a grand scale, and score points without any chance of you giving any away. This is unbalanced and broken. To put this into a bit of perspective, I have in my DSAce a total of 19 kills on traders flying the trade event that I could not score points by killing. If this is just my count alone, then spread across all participants there are dozens of missed points on people who were scoring points themselves. This also had the effect of destroying the motivation to log in and I am not the only person who at a certain point just lost interest in the event because of it, meaning there are a lot of missed kills. An estimate of 100 unscored pvp points belonging to the lawful team is not unrealistic.
The second thing is that trade points must absolutely be a supplement to pvp scores and not the main method of scoring. In the same way that ores are more profitable than regular cargo because they require player interaction, pvp scoring should be more valuable because it requires confrontation between players, as opposed to being able to shift an infinite supply of npc cargo in a vacuum without the involvement of anyone else. Being able to score by trading is a great mechanic and really helps the event be more alive, but it needs to be less effective. A point per hour of maximum efficiency pure 5k trade should be the absolute minimum, and it could probably even be more than that.
Other than that, the event started off great and expanding the pvp bonus to neighbouring systems, but with a reduced credit reward, was definitely the right thing to do. The 400cr/s profit on the commodities, which is regular contraband level profit and higher than the 250cr/s of standard regular commodities, was perfectly balanced. Demanding more is greed, and if you want to go and earn 650cr/s, go and trade ore.
As for post-event rewards, you are entitled to nothing. No event rewards were planned. I couldn't say if any are forthcoming, but if they are not, well then you just have to get over it. And if it were up to me, if any of these rewards do end up given out, points scored on non-event IDs would be excluded in their entirety and most of you complaining wouldn't get anything anyway.
$/hr was very low actually
=> risk and effort for traders in events is always WAY higher, money should reflect that.
Event format was perfect, just need to do either Trader kills counting with simply the commodity or unrelated ID hauled not counting (but not both - one is fine)
It definitely didn't break the event as it was equal for all sides - Corsairs just gave money to community to get them to trade for their side. Who says PvPers are more important than people that put in the effort in trading. There was definitely a higher ratio of actual corsair ID transports to other IDs than there was for lawfuls - effort put in was just higher
