While taking note of the previous criticism is good, remember that OF status dies not actually give you any meaningful benefits, especially with Corsair I'd that is already very decent. You can do whatever you want as a Corsair without official status. Have fun and best of luck.
I've had the chance to speak directly with your leader on multiple occasions, and I have optimism for your faction given some minor corrective measures. I sincerely hope you're up to the responsibilities that follow official factions, and that you know that newbie training will make proper upkeep of those responsibilities that much more difficult.
Good luck.
I'll do something about my superiority complex when I cease to be superior.

[05.10.2021 14:55:02] C::Kosti'Zografou: Oh, I've just politely asked who you are.
You'll have to help me understand how a ''bunch of mutes'' is a polite way of referring to new people as you suggest we are.

I would like to know why have you commented so heavily on our thread from October when we've since made several more threads and a wiki page which have improved in quality substantially? Our improvement has not been commented on, we are now in December. We are obviously building on what we've made so this is an example of you purposefully commenting on older material which is quite disingenuous.
(12-01-2021, 11:48 PM)Corile Wrote: your attempts to actually use the wiki (nobody in $currentyear cares about the wiki).
So on one hand you claim we are new and we don't know lore. On the other hand, nobody cares about the wiki, which is outdated. How exactly is a player supposed to inform themselves on lore and learn if the wiki is outdated, the in-game information does not provide a complete picture. If your idea is to sift through thousands of threads and pages on the forum, that's just absurd.
Also your claim that we know nothing about lore is contradicted by the fact that you claim you have almost no interaction with us. I am not sure about how that snippet about us using the wiki (which is an excellent tool by the way), somehow devalues the work and effort put in.
From an operational and process perspective, updating and keeping a wiki up-to-date is by far the more effective method of dealing with information and its categorization.
It's inherently clear to me that you do not want new players to be empowered, to learn the lore, and improve. It's also clear that you have no regard for the population of the server.
(12-01-2021, 11:48 PM)Corile Wrote: There are overinflated claims in your request ("have organised an event" that's not yet happened
I've organized the event. Nothing overinflated - whether it happens is dependent on other groups as well and factors beyond me. Our numbers are not hidden - you can come on our discord and count the number of people. They are taken straight from Discord. You can also see our activity which is an unbiased source of info, we are the second highest group on the server, only behind the first one by a small margin for the last 3 months (36d 17:22:21). This is when keeping into consideration that we fly untagged ship as well a lot of the times.

A basic look at the information I've provided would give you a clear idea of what we are trying to achieve. There's even an NPOV statement provided, did you manage to read this?
(12-01-2021, 11:48 PM)Corile Wrote: You just give off the vibe that you are a group of players who want to play a video game together.
We are playing a video-game, this isn't a doctorate dissertation and we are not writing Macbeth here. This kind of mentality where you need to give off a specific vibe whilst playing a video game is the reason why the server population is so low. That and the occasionally extremely hostile reaction to new players from some people of the community. In this day and age, why does anyone have to commit years to ''show value'' - that's just really absurd.
Your feedback literally gives me nothing of value - you don't offer anything constructive. There's no substance. Not trying to be hostile, just being honest.

Thank you, I am happy to review and read any supplementary information that would be of benefit. If you have the time and capacity, feel free to suggest anything, that would be great. Would be also interested in hearing what you think these corrective measures should be and we can move from there.
Give me the liberty to know, to utter, and to argue freely according to conscience, above all liberties.
From the few encounters Ive had with you im unsure
1)why you are using the Corsair ID beyond "They have caps and look cool.
There has been attempts to do things that seriously go against the Corsair Lore already, such as befriending the Coalition.
and
2) If youre ready to be an Official Faction. Every single Encounter I have had so far was nothing more than being stared at by several Capital ships that didnt say a single word even after multiple attempts of interacting. And in the very few and rare cases that there was Roleplay, it was usually just a few words by a very small part of the groups that I have encounterd.
I Love to see the effort you put into DTR, and I am sure many of the new people in your group are enjoying the game more than they would without you, but being an Official Faction comes with certain responsibilities which I Just dont see you fulfill currently. I think this is one of the edge cases where the effort and Motivation would justify Officialdom, though the output that comes from it does not (currently).
I Wish you good luck either way though, no matter the result of the Vote.
Had i few fights versus RM along DTR and a lot of PvE with you, you are a nice group to fly with (nod) . Corsair space was almost empty, now it breeds fresh amigos and hundreds of guns again. Cool resurrection of wiki page - i still use it haha. You don't need to know the whole lore of every faction, this takes some time to do from here and there, even i don't know it. And yes, this is a video game and it is 19 years old, not a rocket science, so don't bother. Have fun and take care!
Finally a breath of fresh air. A newbie friendly faction with numbers to boot. A rare pearl in a sea of faction-of-the-week and another-rp-elitist-circlejerk faction threads Disco usually gets.
Though your journey started as rocky, and your mission statement based on the the plain "to go forth, and conquer", I am sure you and your buddies have the potential to become valuable members of this community.
Note: I hold no membership in the faction aside from occasionally playing with them as an indie Corsair.
good luck and don't worry about certain opinions ... you guys are new and even "veteran" players do mistakes ... not to say crap ... it wasn't crap i was writing but i think you understand, it is just simple, go to the feedback of their factions and you will see what i mean.
what i advise you is to make more actions on the forum. for example, you say on your page that you are friendly with the zoners and see then has a good partner, but i have not seen anything yet.
