if you care about balances in fights you let people fight on equal numbers

And I very well did. I did not fire a single shot in the whole battle and stayed out of range the whole time. Also, efforts were made to avoid unnecessary imbalances:

just because you try your best to prevent ganking, does not mean your whole faction, DTR's past and recent ganks should be overlooked or forgotten

you want to preach fairplay and good sportsmanship? do it within your own faction first, once you guys display that kind of behavior then only your rant will be justified

and you're a faction, its only natural that their first impression will be the same as your factions - a gankfest

i have nothing against you personally but the viewpoint you have isn't making much sense

First and foremost, thanks for the feeedback, rest assurred i will take it into account for future engagements.

Secondly, since im back, and im not sure it even been a month, everytime ive gone to xi in small numbers, i got ganked hard. Lets note ive never complained, i understand thats part of the game; anyway that produced a vivid impresssion "thats how they play" and as such, ive relaxed the usual "fairness rules" i usually try to enforce in RM.

Lastly, ive warned in DTR chat we would raid Xi, and i dont see a BS using a cloak within the rules as "lack of sportsmanship", Turtle is big and sluggish, i see it as a valid tatic, same as the sair bomber that kept heating my cruiser ass while i was fighting the Unioner cruiser. Ive even congratulated the bomber in both DTR and RM chats.

Sure, wasnt needed, with time RM would had won anyway against only those, but our engagement prior to the fight you refering to resulted in total anihilation of RM group as way too many reinforcements shown up for our enemies and, due to our (my!) delay in dealing with the first ships online, to try to even the numbers, we ended all "dead", exactly as the fight you refering to.

Finally, as ive said, "fairness" havent looked like a concern for DTR until now, but be sure that once i see that from your side towards my members, ill do my best to offer the same, so we all can have fun activity.

Anyway, forgive the eagerness of my boys for a victory, well try to offer more fun next time.

I'm sorry this happened. our server is quite large and a response most of the time is uneven. sometimes barely anyone logs, sometimes there's too many players of our faction and/or indies at once. I can assure our older members do their best to avoid such situations by advising indies, recruits and less experienced faction members to stand back and hold fire to ensure a fair battle.

it's a valid tactic, but the circumstances didn't call for it. the player that got jumped on by the battleship with a cloak was one of our newest recruits, and was blown to bits in a few seconds. I wouldn't call that a fun experience from his perspective.

Iirc Fab isn't part of the HC of DTR but Ravenna Nagash is 1ic and there have been lots of debate in their feedback thread and their 1ic never acknowledged ganking is wrong. Their answer always was "Why should we not utilise all ships at hand?" "What else do you come expecting to raid a homeland/group?" "It's RP accurate to use any means to kill enemy ships, ganking included." "Our players aren't veterans but newbies so they need some kind of advantage to make it fair for them, we will however host an event if you want to play fair" (Assuming everyone they fight is a veteran or an Ace like from KHara and still they need an overwhelming advantage like 4v15). Well Fab why are you not being supportive of what your 1ic says? The debates and discussions have died down about DTR because everyone has started accepting that this is the way things are with you people.

I'll be brief. I've interacted with [RM] for a long amount of time ever since I joined, but recent weeks have shown certain, uh... "irregularities", so to speak. While I highly appreciate the activity, there's the issue that newer members make their way up the ranks too fast (this is not bad, in fact I dislike having a lot of ranks to go through myself) but without any apparent control of the HC over their activity in-game.

By that, I mean:

And no, before conspiracies begin to appear, this isn't a complaint made as a result of losing said fight in Frankfurt. I am only hoping to see improvement on a faction I like.

I'd appreciate if something was done about said players to improve their roleplaying skills or otherwise restrict them to more appropriate tagged vessels. Thanks in advance.

We are working on it.

We got a lot of "new guys" in last weeks, need a lot of work, but we are working hard, both to train them in PVP and in RP, rest asssured i will talk with both of them.

I wanted to play RM a bit, as I have found a bounty board here, however there is no bounty claim on Corsairs. I think it need a little improvement.

I can help you with this if you want. At least I would log if there will be some bounties on Corsairs. board

Hellew. Just dropping by to suggest that it'd be better if the posts that refer to unimportant matters to the RM HC would be better off put into either a single long file compiled at the end of each month or a "personal logs" type of file to avoid cluttering the MD thread with a ton of reports by the same person.

It'll make it look better and more professional. And on that note, kudos to Trau for so much roleplay, too. Take the advice or don't, the roleplay has been great.
