Cleveland Station was built in the Pennsylvania frontier system by Bristol Constructions & Manufacturing as a forward mining depot, sorting facility and as a shuttle station for its mining operations on Planet Hallam. The considerable station was built with assistance of ALG and DSE and is Bristol Construction's largest construction project to date. As a typical Bristol installation they function on an open port status with only known enemies exempt.
With construction plannings reaching back as far as May 827, the station's location and purpose was planned well in advance. With goals to exploit Planet Hallam and resources within the independent worlds, Cleveland had to be planned as a large space station which as a project was slightly beyond Bristol Construction's capabilities considering the intended timeframe of construction. With partnerships with ALG and DSE and pre built parts from Bristol Depot, Cleveland was finished on time in February 828.
Planetary Mining
Cleveland operates various small planetary personnel and cargo shuttles to construct and maintain a planetside mining site. Mined resources from Hallam are brought back into orbit and shipped off from Cleveland to their various destinations. On Cleveland, some material gets pre refined but most ores get simply shipped off to further industries.
Salvaging & Repairs
Various salvage in Pennsylvania
With Bristol's years of experience in salvaging, sorting and recylcing on small scales, mostly for self-use, the various abandoned mining operations in the system were a welcome target to expand their salvage and repairs business. Ships in particularly good condition have been patched up, repressurised and sent back into the system and beyond to find more resources or exploit known ones.
The station provides repairs to its own ships, allies and customers.
Surveying
With Bristol Construction's main activities in Bering slowing down, new resources are being surveyed in hopes of further establishing their position in the independent worlds. With rumours of copper in the deeper systems and Helium in system the company has hopes that with a solid base in the system, they can find a claim to stake for themselves.
Issues
Being on the frontier of an independent world and with unstable supply lines the station is not without its problems. While mostly self sufficient and able to survive for a prolonged time, the installation has high goals to achieve for its maintaining company. With a huge investment at a high risk, Bristol Constructions cannot afford Cleveland to fail. In addition, Bristol merely communicated the location with its direct partners and the Liberty government, potentially angering local groups. Additionally protection could come at a high cost which might be particularly troublesome for the unproven installation's managers.

Hello,
I was just wondering why this station insists on firing at me every time I drive past in my Carrier? It's becoming a bit of a frustration having to take fire whilst trying to navigate the lanes. Any insight you can offer me as to the cause of this would be much appreciated.
When this happens I am driving a Liberty Carrier under a Liberty Navy ID with the name HMAS Bribie Island.
Hopefully this can be rectified shortly.
After 2 weeks and no reply, I'm just going to assume that something shooting at me deep inside LIberty space, is deliberately hostile. I shall return fire accordingly whilst in transit.
