What's done is done I guess...These changes had canon backing and they pulled the trigger, I hope they know what they are doing.
The weird thing is that people tend to forget that Zoners have had 2 planets and they're not space hippies like many would like to see, especially when house would like to rob you time to time. Use Freelancer or corporate IDs if you want to trade within house space.

Zoners are freelancers outside the house. Zoners are not supposed to be unified group of people.

The only thing that unifies them is their ideology and belief, of wanting to be away from Houses. In a way... they are sort of grouped, even if they're not literally unified. That's enough for Houses to clump them as a group.

Weird thing to lie about, considering I witnessed your faction enforcing the anti-Zoner embargo post-event.
Not a single Zoner cargo ship was intercepted in the event, correct me if I am wrong- our own players were telling me they don't want to play along with that - we escorted a freelancer Bret GB to lanes, I found a bundie near the base, and ...that's it?
We RPed with MFE, SLRC, Zoners a lot. There simply wasn't interest in this ?

Well almost all indies use the ID to trade, make PoBs, scan coords, rp - I guess you don't mind putting an end to that? Again, I don't play Zoners, I just hope the OFs really do know what they are doing

Sorry to hear, but its an essential move after annexation event, as we still play on RP server. Afterall, Disco doesn't end on Zoner ID, try Junkers, maybe.

I think these are some truly awful takes.
Zoner is not simply an ID to use when you don't want any adverse interactions. Nor are Zoners "freelancers with caps and 5ks". They are not necessarily pacifists and they are not necessarily unorganized.
Some people take their lack of centralized authority to mean "they never cooperate on anything ever". This is certainly not the case. Zoners are capable of communicating with each other and recognizing common interests and threats. And it is certainly within Liberty's typical approach to generalize a hostile stance against all non-centralized, anti-authoritarian vagrants.
Players are certainly welcome to play Liberty characters who do not agree with the hard line taken by the government, as they are welcome to play Zoners who don't wish to be involved. The conflict will still happen regardless.
