"We've been hearing whispers of your arrival Riemann, you've stirred quite a ruckus within the Platform of Thuringia that we were waiting to see if you'd be pointed in our direction.
"I have to admit, your position out on the relay station is hard to imagine where the sole focus in your mind was to wake up from cryogenic suspension every other week to fulfil objectives left by a command missing in action. The Civil War took a huge toll on all of us in the Bundschuh and the remnant federalist forces, it's also concerning to hear that you were practically isolated from the entire event during your posting... This is something we must rectify immediately.
"I'll be assigning you quarters here in Tennsdedt if you wish, a majority of us understand that while your presence and past history can be a bit disturbing in the eyes of our Bundschuh brothers, the Damnatio Memoriae will hold judgement on your present actions and intentions instead. While Thuringia is inhospitable for the average Rheinlander, we have certainly shown that humanity can persevere if determined enough, you are more than just showing your own willpower to fulfil your heart's duty here.
"In hopes that you do accept, I'll facilitate your service to the Platform with shelter, food, knowledge, training and the right to life. Whatever you require or need to accomplish I will try to assist with, as long as you retain your respect and duty to the will of the platform and it's people. It's different fighting for a movement, sometimes your own consciousness has to decide for you on a number of drastic choices out there... I promise you something more fulfilling than being trapped in a listening outpost.
"And your ship, an automated Oder? Granted a lot of the defence systems have been gutted and by the looks of the repair work, it could almost pass for a wreck if it wasn't for your handiwork on the last remaining bit of life on the engine to tow it in to Bielefeld... Impressive. Geneva station already has a large amount of work on their hands on their manufacturing and maintenance lines, but I'll see that Geneva gets the boost it needs with materials and manpower... It's not much, but I think a dozen of our Ghosts can certainly make a difference there.
"If you have any questions about the Platform or the Cell of the Damnatio Memoriae do ask away. After which, I have an assignment for you, if you're interested?"

Perseverance in desperation
Thank you for the welcome, the offer of a safe place to call home while I get caught up on the mess that I have slept through these past few years means more than you know. That being said, I think I would prefer to quarter on board the Ymir for the time being - as far as I am concerned, it's the last few cubic meters of my Rheinland still alive. I would, however, like to pay back your kindness with my services and use of my ship, such as they are. Though my experience with combat operations are limited, I am quite confident that my expertise in Oder maintenance and repairs will keep Ymir spaceworthy once I have access to some materials and a crew.
I am certain that my participation in the Buro, even if not directly responsible for anything I would deem objectionable, may impart me with some degree of culpability for atrocities that have been perpetrated by the MND. That being said, I do not know how much of what I have heard of the Bundschuh is true - I'm sure you know the difficulty of sifting through propaganda to get some grains of truth on any subject even tangentially related to 'dissident' movements. In any case, I will serve to the extent that my conscience permits. For now, until I know better, I will trust that your organization will ask of me to act in the best interests of the Rheinland people - and that any unpleasantness will be in service of that good. However, if there ever is a time that I discover that trust is violated, I will leave to find my own way.
In any case, I accept your offer - and I am prepared to deploy when ready, as you see fit.
"Riemann, there's an issue that's arisen concerning intelligence agents deployed by the Buro. It seems you're not the only one who's been kept in the dark since the civil war.
"I know the toll long range and out-of-contact deployments can be, this one in particular was under a degree of stress and duty concerning her mission in internal conflicts in Liberty. Now I've got word she's under serious threat of being exposed of easily made missteps occur, considering the Damnatio Memoriae have invested in Thuringia and any nomad related matters as a security threat then I request your services to keep tabs on a certain pilot in liberty.
"Your operations will now be deployed within Liberty, we have a Platform flotilla that will soon be dispatched into the area.
"Your cover is intelligence gathering on Liberty government, military, enforcement and intelligence operations within and around the occupation of Erie. You have the right to engage within the Pennsylvania and Texas systems at will against said targets and any allied ships in their company. Attack security patrols, harass and disrupt logistics convoys, and eavesdrop on what you can.. Make it unpleasant for every second they have to spend with you. While on the other hand, be as accommodating as possible for any Pennsylvania liberation and freedom fighters that you might encounter, the Platform has an ideological goal of supporting left-wing, anti-authoritarian and anti-corporate parties and we hope to embolden that through the commitments and actions of our paramilitary forces.
"Your assignment is to observe both Agent Inge Wexler operations to ensure her safety and to monitor the activity of a recent emergence of potential DK relic site that could disturb the balance of power in Liberty. I already have a massive interest in how Liberty has gotten the upperhand on faster-than-light transit technologies, unmatched beyond scale compared to the rest of Sirius, even the MND has only had failed attempts while even being assisted by alien research. Wexler has been in a series of assignments within Xeno territory, and with Planet Sudbury lighting up on the Sinclair protocol networks, shes needs someone on the other end of the escape rope to guarantee her life out of there. There are a few players at stake here considering we've not yet made contact with the deep-cover operative, other parties in for both her and the active alien site are the Xenos, Auxesia, Order... Even the Buro.
"I'll likely operate in the area when I can if you need to make contact for some questions, make contact but if you were to make contact then I advise you maintain... Acquaintanceship. Offer a food ration, a field medical pack or if it's daring enough to pack and extra one compact spikers to spare her? But we do hope to see her holding us in good faith on whom to trust, so do what you can and act upon instinct.
"Your gunship is at your disposal and free to command where ever you may be drawn to go, if you so require a Grendel for cargo-risk operations, do let me know and I'll have one prepared immediately. What you decide out there I will leave that to you, tread carefully agent, the void is unforgiving.
"Bring her home."

The new crew has assented to the new deployment orders and we are currently set to arrive on Beaumont in Texas within the day. I've taken the liberty of reaching out to the PLF to facilitate our insertion.
I will keep you appraised of our progress on this channel once we have arrived and established a secure tightbeam relay from Pennsylvania.
