Well, someone found my little hidden abode, eh? Or...my former hidden abode.
See, I stumbled on to this place sometime in the last year. Restored it's landing bays and was bringing in various goods. Well, I failed to adequately realize how expensive maintaining the stations systems would wind up being. Within a couple of months, I'd burned through a lions share of my credits earned supplying various entities and citizens with supplies they craved. As such, the former abandoned station returned to it's abandoned state, despite appearances to the contrary.
The landing bays should still be open and despite me dumping a grotesque amount of credits in to maintaining the station shortly after I found it, I'd rather just get out from underneath the station. You've seen where it's located--and no doubt you know the area and the supply lines which can and did supply it for many months. I'm curious if you'd want to take over management of the station and if someone of my eccentric nature would be welcome aboard to bring various goods and supplies to the bazaar should those old halls sport activity once more.
Mister Wilder,
So an opportunist smuggler took over the spot and now realizes it's more to bite off than he can chew...
We've discussed your proposal, but we're not buying that dump. Given that we'd be doing you a favor by taking it off your hands I'd rather offer you a counteroffer.
My team is willing to put some trust-worthy and discrete middle-men to handle expenses of maintenance and administration, but we want the keys, in exchange you'd get a reserved bay and rooms, exclusively for your vessel and you as well as your crew -if any- and you'll be able to keep a copy of the keys.
Don't forget who we are, if we find out you're snitching about this base and blood spills, I can guarantee you, no amount offered would make it worth it your lack safety in the Omegas.
We'll await your response, mister Wilder. If you agree with this arrangement then feel free to send the required credentials my way.
The respect is noted, but it's just Wilder. Mister Wilder was my father--and he was a piece of shit.
Sounds fair. We have a deal. I wasn't really looking for any credits or compensation for relinquishing control to a separate party. In fact, I'm glad to be off-the-hook for maintaining the place. I can still help out from time to time if you need a few SCU's of food, oxygen, etc.
As for your parting comment, you don't have anything to worry about me disclosing the location. A place that's "off-the-grid" such as the Freeport is gold to a crew such as ours. Being able to sit down in a neutral place hidden from others is in short supply. Should you need any...other, materials delivered, let us know. We'd be happy to source it for you and yours at the friends-and-family discount. That goes for any other deliveries to other locations should you need it. Us "delivery specialists" gotta eat too. Heh.
I'll drop you a secure transmission with the codes. Keep an eye out.
